Thanks for this video! Doctors regularly use this technique after I've donated blood, and I wanted to explain it to a friend whose elderly parent needs regular bandaging and removal. This video helped. Short and simple video, easy to understand and no wasting time.
Works like a charm! I actually discovered this method a few days ago on my own. I was a having a terrible time trying to remove a bandaid from my dog’s leg. It was pulling her hair and she wasn’t having it. I saturated a cotton ball in 91% rubbing alcohol and held it on top of the bandaid for a couple of minutes. The glue disintegrated and the bandaid released easily.
The way i do it is just put where the bandaid is into warm water (not too warm as it may hurt the wound) or regular temp water and wait for a minute or so and dont remove it from the water but peel it while its in the water
Thats why u wait for the wound to close and heal before removing the bandaid? Otherwise why would you even put a bandaid on an open wound???? So silly.
Cute video, but it didn't begin to loosen the Nexcare bandage I had on the top of my hand. After 5 minutes of soaking the bandage with rubbing alcohol and then waiting 30 seconds, then 40 seconds, then one minute before attempting to remove the bandage, bandage is still stuck fast all the way around and on top. I finally got enough of a crimp in the soft middle part to start prying it up. It was excruciating and I was afraid I was going to bring skin up with the bandage. Once I got a hole in the center I was able to pry the rest of it off with very little lessening of the pain. With all due respect to your bandage removal expertise, there HAS to be a better way to remove these bandages than your method.
I put tape in my skin ang i removed it before watching this video(there's alot of tape left in my body) and I got like watery scars idk what its called i just described it.It makes me insecure how can I remove it
Skjsjsks help the sticky part of the bandaid is on a wound/piece of loose skin I tried doing it, I pulled a bit and I saw the skin ripping what do I do
Check out hydro colloidal bandaids at the drugstore. They form this kind of gel that fills the wound. It keeps the area sanitary and speeds healing. They fall off on their own by design. But, if you remove it with alcohol, your cut is protected and you won’t feel any burn at all.

If you think it hurts to rip off a band-aid, you're definitely gonna have fun putting rubbing alcohol directly into an open wound. So silly.

@@storntreat Lol it's not like you only have a wound for 5 minutes dude. You're supposed to change the band-aid every day, preferably twice a day.
