- The NEW Splatoon 3 Maps look incredible. These stages are rich in detail, and so much of it gives them an immense amount of personality. I wanted to dive into this topic since the new maps were revealed, and my friend @JPArt decided to join me in this analysis. We learned so much from this, and I hope you enjoy what we have found in our analysis.
This originally wasn't meant to be a lore video, but the further we analyzed, the more we realized that these designs and small details supplement the narratives behind the stages. It was very exciting to sort of see it unfold!

A few people have asked about the map at 10:48, so I'll just put it here in case anyone wants to look at it for themselves.
Here it is posted by Nintendo of America on Twitter: twitter.com/NintendoAmerica/status/1567520595104890880
And here it is mentioned in an official interview with the Splatoon 3 developers : www.nintendo.com/whatsnew/ask-the-developer-vol-7-splatoon-3-part-1/
It’s so cool being able to actually see where everything is taking place in splatoon
splatoon's design artists MUST be happy about someone documenting all of this
this comment made my day haha It's a testament to how great the design artists for this game are
@@DekuGamer It makes the world of splatoon more real than it already is
personally, my favourite stage detail is that on scorch gorge it has tarped over versions of 2's spawn platforms
makes it feel like the flying coffee machine things are such a new thing that some of the old spawn platforms are still installed in some of the locations designated as battle spots
Yeah that's such a great detail they've added! I like the way you've interpreted it btw. Like they're just so new that they haven't had the chance to remove it completely
7:10 This symbol means a lot to me. As a formerly orderly octo, this symbol isn't just a team ORDR symbol. It's Marina's half of the Off The Hook Splatfest symbol completed on the side where Pearl's squid would be. I believe it's used in this context to imply that it's an Octoling goods package in the modern Inkling & Octoling world. Octolings have integrated and are making/doing things for everyone. Since this design isn't fully symmetrical, I believe these modern octolings have adopted the chaotic nature but still feel connected to Marina's influence.
Thank you for sharing this message. Comments like yours reminds me just how special the final fest was. I think your theory could be right! It's in line with what we know about the octolings integrating themselves into inkling society. I like the idea of Marina sort of acting as a leader to a movement. Really hope we get to see that logo again in the DLC!
As an also former Orderly Octo, I appreciate this detail and interpretation. Thank you ^^
Orderly octo gang rise! My people!
Order Octos Represent
Orderly octos wooo
One note: the box with the Team Order logo on also has a triangle above that, which I think represents Team Chaos. The tentacles are also oddly-sized. So I think the logo’s supposed to be a combination of Teams Order and Chaos, maybe something from Off the Hook as a whole.
That's a very good point! Team Chaos used a triangle on their squid logo. I didn't notice the asymmetrical tentacles! That's fascinating. Do you think we could possibly see this version in the DLC? Or at the very least the original chaos and order ones? This logo is crazier the more I look at it. Thanks for bringing this up!
Considering that final splatfest mainly influenced the story and setting of the game that follows it, I think the idea is that the Splatlands embraces chaos while the story shows how the old-fashioned order of the past is no longer needed.
hagglefish is really beautiful during splatfests, the lights of the buildings and shops against the water and how they get fewer and further between as they get closer to the stage, I just love it
Definitely! That one and Eeltail Alley have to be my favorite splatfest variants. The world building in Hagglefish really is beautiful
I feel like most people that haven’t played the previous games just see it as a colorful kid friendly game, but in reality it has so much hidden lore and creepy secrets. I remember that the first game had those creepy voices in a story mode stage, the second one had the laughing statues, and this game fully just talks about how humanity as a whole was eradicated. It’s crazy how much this silly little game about squids is hiding. There is so much detail that went into it.
Yeah! When I first got into the series I thought the same thing. I honestly love the lore in this game so much. I feel like the second best lore heavy Nintendo franchise has to be Legend of Zelda. All the creepy little easter eggs is kind of a reminder that there's more to this game than what we see on the surface. The line with Marina talking about human bones is a great example. I just love how they manage to be very subtle about these things. Sorry for rambling on about this haha. But thanks for mentioning all of this!
@@DekuGamer yeah exactly! It has just enough hidden depth to intrigue an older audience as well. It’s something that I really grew to love about the whole series.
I love how the designers put so much thought and effort in to these maps and 90% of the people who play the game never see it because all the little details get covered by ink.
My thoughts exactly haha. The fact that they do go through such efforts though is pretty incredible. It's an essential part to the world building, and I think that's what really makes these detail great so special.
a lot of the stickers you see in the stages can be purchased at harmony's store and put on your locker. for example, i have the squid with a halo and the holographic squid
Yes! I love that that's finally possible in this game. Oh they actually have the holographic one!? I NEED to get that one! Hasn't showed up in Hotlantis yet. I might have just missed it too lol
I have the holo sticker from undertow!
@@DekuGamer I thought the shops were random. save up money for it because i remember it cost me over 80k if im remembering right. instantly bought when i saw how expensive it was
@@DekuGamer The cool Diver's Helmet pieces can be obtained in the Catalog as stickers too, at level 22 and 66.
Love the details they put into the stages, that being said... I am destroyed that they removed the ability to recon Splatfest stages. They didn't add new designs, but they provided some awesome lore in the form of ambience (Skipper Pavilion is my personal favorite), but also some small secrets like the laughing statues, and inkblot phone call...
This! I was super bummed out to see the recon only showed the regular day versions. There was really no reason to do that either. I really wanted to check if the inkblot phone easter egg was still there. What is the Skipper Pavilion lore you're referring too? I always found the look of that stage super interesting, and I didn't know there was a lot more story behind it!
@@DekuGamer During Splatfests, there is a certain part of Skipper Pavilion where you can hear Calamari County play. (Calamari County is the folk song that the Calamari Inkantation was based on)
@@DekuGamer The music that plays at night at Skipper Pavillion is the original traditional itteration of Calamari Inkantation. It's nothing huge, but it was cool to hear it how it was originally before Callie and Marie changed it up.
Ah what? Damnit I can't continue my favorite pseudo tradition I did each splatfest where whenever skipper pavilion would show up in rotation I would queue up a recon and just sit in swim form in the far corner where there was never ranked objectives and just. Listen.
I loved it, shame I can't do the same for splat3
I also saw the Ferris wheel in hammerhead bridge, and I was like “Wahoo World?”, and the next stage WAS Wahoo World, and it was identical!
Yeah it looks super similar! I don't know if the logo in the middle is missing because of long distance rendering OR if it's the Ferris Wheel from Splatoon 1 (though that one is also much smaller and some believe it's the Wahoo World one anyways). I think it is Wahoo World though since the map connects the Splatlands to the older maps with the bridge.
@@DekuGamer I saw it on the splatfest, so it’s lit up.
it's always so fascinating seeing how much detail is put into these stages... it was cool to see your perspective on this, thank you!
Right? These stages are so rich in detail! I thought they couldn't top Splatoon 2 but the devs absolutely did. Glad you enjoyed the video!
I want to inhale these analysis videos so that my brain can swim in all that creativity! The abundance of diverse ways of life and art mediums are just astounding in this franchise, and I really wish I could make something as good as this when I grow up.
Couldn't have said it better myself. I'm so happy that you're enjoying these analysis videos! And hopefully you get that opportunity to work on something like that one day! Things like this take a whole team of dedicated designers, and what an honor it would be to be a part of that team.
Scorch Gorge has the original splatoon 1 and 2 spawners covered by tarps and in Hammerhead Bridge if you look out into the ocean you can see the NILS Statue from the Octo Expansion
3:40 now that you mentioned it, the 2 letters on bottom left looks very similar to the Chinese word for "construction" (建設)
Woah no way! Do you think that was actually intended by the designers? It really does look super similar
Considering most inkling brands are made up of broken irl words, and splatsville closely resembles Hong Kong, that might be the case
As someone that's become interested in design, your take in this is really cool. I think the best thing about these designs is that some don't just stay as ambiance of a stage, but become personal by making them available to us by way of the lockers. My favorite is the drippy squid with the halo🤭
I adore the clear understanding you show of the what's and why's of the graphic design throughout the stages. You've both gone above and beyond in exploring these details- that combined with the quick and catchy editing made it really enriching to watch.
My favorite detail is in Scorch Gorge at the being you can see an original spawn point that is covered by a paintable tarp. I really shows how it relates to the greater inkoplolis
as a visual design major and a big splatoon fan, these videos are right up my alley. they explain basic design elements wonderfully, and work as a good refresher for my assignments. keep it up, i really love these vids!
Thank you so much!! That really means a lot. When I was doing my major for graphic design I always wished that content like this existed, and I'm so happy that I can provide that for you and others AND that it serves as a nice refresher. Will definitely keep it up!

"Finally, something we can read":
*The sign in Splat 2 salmon run map with the crashed space ship with an english sign saying "Beware bears nearby" or sonething like that*
Haha you're right! Pretty strange that the Salmon Run signs are straight up written in english
@@DekuGamer I mean, I'm pretty sure that map had the most lore and mystery, and I think it was foreshadowing Splatoon 3's final boss/ending
I hope Team Order returns in the DLC somehow, because it’d look WILD!
Edit: this aged perfectly.
That would be incredible!! Marina is already kind of confirmed to return so it's totally possible! I really want to see that happen!
I personally feel like alterna already used the aesthetics of team order, so of it is in the DLC itd be super cool to see a new spin on everything
@@Vampirecrypt Hmm, maybe.
As a graphic designer, I totally nerd out over all the little design details in this franchise. Makes me so happy to see people showcasing it.
Yes! I'm so excited that other designers like you are enjoying these videos. We really do nerd out over these cool little designs, and can anyone blame us? They're all so incredible!
I know this video wasnt about specifically gameplay design, but i apppreciate that, as a new player, i would often walk up to a random vertical surface that would have "up arrow" graffitii/stickers/marks on them and i would instantly know that it was paintable and i could get to a higher position with it.
Yes! The game makes everything so intuitive, and I think Splatoon 3 in particular is the most new player friendly in the franchise. It's really cool to know that the graffiti can serve a purpose beyond just aesthetics. Hope you're enjoying the game btw!
I think the fish bones on scorch gorge are callbacks to team chaos! Since splatsville is the city of chaos, it feels like team chaos wanted to claim the area at their turf
Could be! I kind of like the idea of chaos claiming turf haha. What I love about designs like these is that it leaves things up for interpretation sometimes, but there's just enough information to come up with theories. So cool!
you guys put so much love, expertise, and detail in to exploring the world and lore of this game. thank you for this deep dive, it's been an absolute treat!! def subbed
Thank you so much! That really means a lot. We really did try our best to make as thorough an analysis as we could, and I'm so glad you appreciate the work we've put in. :)
im so glad that video like these breaking down details and fun graphics in splatoons world! Splatoon has so much to offer when it comes to this and cant wait for more videos just like this!!
I'm so happy to know you like videos like this! There's always some doubt in my head when I upload these, like I'm always unsure if people would be interested, but comments like yours are always so encouraging!! Thank you, and there's more videos like this coming soon!
It just makes me wonder what details future maps will have! But also, if Salmonids invade Inkopolis, will we also get a map based on the opposite? A Turf War map ON a Salmon Run themed map?
I was wondering the same thing! A turf war map on a Salmon Run stage would be super interesting. At least like a story mode thing would be cool. Remember in the Direct they showed Salmon Run in Wahoo World? What was up with that?
@@DekuGamer Oh they did explain that. The Salmon's are invading Inkopolis, meaning that we might get seasonal events where Salmon Run will be like, SUPER op!
the two circles from the dualies and his headband forming a smiley face is something i cannot unsee now
fun fact: for anyone who doesn’t know, the Diver and Astronaut helmets are actually stickers that you can get for your locker! they can be unlocked in the catalog and/or bought at Hotlantis! :D
Yes! Thanks for mentioning it. I only have one of them on the locker rn. I haven't seen the other one available yet. All of the money grinding is worth it for Hotlantis stickers haha
I love that all things are stickers (well, very almost all)
Yeah same! It really captures their culture so well
it is tradition for me to yell "FRICK THESE BOXES" and shoot them with my brella to send them flying across the map at the start of each hagglefish match
They're just so fun to shoot haha. I love how they fumble down the stage
you've really put into words details ive never even noticed before! it makes me really appreciate the effort put into splatoons art
Happy to hear that! Splatoon's art direction is like no other game I've ever seen. Just blows my mind how much depth and lore there is for the smallest details
hey there! i was just watching your Splat3 Analysis playlist, i.e. watching vids back to back. so i noticed when you were pointing out the cool Scorch Gorge graffiti in this video, the astronaut helmet's "emblem" sorta resembles the one on pearl's jacket, noted in the DLC analysis!
anyways, loving this list (especially all the graphic design commentary)!
Please continue this series for 10 others videos !!! I could watch videos about splatoon's design all day long this never fail to amaze me
Something I really like about a lot of these designs, especially the ones in Scorch Gorge, is that they're real stickers you can buy for your locker at Hotlantis. I wonder if the owner has some sort of deal with the artists, or if he's just stealing the art. We really don't know much about Hotlantis outside of the fact that the owner guy is away a lot, and Harmony is taking over for him. The Splatoon 3 Direct called Harmony "an artist," which could be a reference to her time as a member of Chirpy Chips, but imagine if Harmony was an actual artist who made some of these designs, and was the owners way of getting a connection to the art world in general, hence how he can sell stickers from so many different people despite being a relatively new store.
This is all speculation though, but I think expanding on Harmony's lore would be great. Harmony is Best Girl.
You can actually get a lot of the graffiti from Scorch Gorge for your locker! The catalog gives you the helmets and fish bones.
Yes! I only have one of the helmets and I really want the other one haha. The Scorch Gorge designs are so amazing!
1:30 Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think this is the same design used in the festival of life sunken scroll in splatoon 1. If not, I feel like it's been used somewhere in the prior games before.
Edit: 1st found it in Sunken Scroll 24 in splatoon 1. Will post here if I see more
Oh do you think it could be like a simplified version of it? You know, from a purely aesthetic standpoint, the logo on that scroll would fit perfectly in this stage!
@@DekuGamer I would definitely say so. I feel like it is a way to reference it
Thanks for the graphic design tidbits, its rlly cool!
"This is one of the best designs ever, and is why this stage is the best designed around. So much amazing details that add to the dark lore of Splatoon, and the deeper meaning of the map"
Me for the 20th time in a row: That is a fish, yes
Literally the dynamic of this channel lmao
The amount of detail on each stage makes me realize how much soul is in this game.
One detail I noticed in Mincemeat Metalworks is that you can see Crust Sean's food truck parked on one side of the map. Kinda sad he threw it out, unless he just happens to visit the dump often.
Hope to see these videos for the new stages added in updates
If we get new stages, I'll totally make one! I can go more in depth too since it would only be one map at a time I assume
Considering the splatoon text can and has been translated in the past, we're definetly gonna have all the text in these maps have fully legible translations which is so exciting
Yeah I'm so excited to see what kind of information comes up. I tried to translate some stuff in the Grizz building, but none of it was making sense. I'll just leave it to the experts haha
fun fact, you can buy the drinks in the vending machine at harmony's shop, as well as a lot of stickers shown around the maps. some of them are even catalog rewards
I forgot you could buy the drinks! So happy I can collect all these things in the locker
i was kinda hoping the covered up spawn points in scorch would be mentioned here, but overall great analysis of the smaller details that probably often go unnoticed
Yeah, I really should have mentioned that. Thankfully, it seems that a lot of people had spotted that already. I really like that they showed us that spawn points have been completely replaced. Anyway, thanks for bringing it up! And I'm so happy you liked the rest of the video!
Woah. I really didn’t know about a lot of these. I love whole interesting this all is
Glad you learned some new stuff you found interesting!
The maps always are so pretty and give us details we may miss. I can’t wait for more with the added updates.
Same! I'm so excited to see what new maps we get. If it's anything like these, then they will be just as detail rich!
in 0:19 you can see a abandonded respawn thing from splatoon 2 covered by a yellow blanket
nice catch! I completely forgot to mention that in the video, but it really is a great detail that gives us insight into the backstory of the stage.
You can get a lot of the graffiti in scorch gorge as locker stickers!!!
I know! I'm so happy to collect them and use them on the locker haha. I still haven't seen the astronaut one in Hotlantis. But I've been grinding money so that I can be ready lol
I would absolutely watch a video about the vending machines by themselves
I will add that to the list of videos! The vending machines are really well designed, and a lot of the sodas have consistent branding. So excited to explore that topic further
0:30 Those are hoodoos. They're generally made in really dry areas.
The map's probably based on the American west, so a lot of the region used to be a shallow sea a *long* time ago. But that was way, wayyyy before today's hoodoos formed.
That's so cool! This is the first time I hear the term hoodoos. Learn something new everyday haha.
i did notice something quite interesting. we know that there are cultural differences between Inkopolis and Splatsville, and we know they do certain things opposite ways
when i was playing Splatoon and Splatoon2 I noticed how cars and trucks on the roads in the background consistently drove on the left side of the road. i looked for that detail in Splatoon3 only to find they now drive on the right side (except of course if you go to older maps) so Inkopolis drives on the left just like in Japan and Splatsville drives on the right !!!
(and you can notice how, the bridge seems to have separated double-lanes, one on which signage is above the left lane and on the other, above the right lane !!)
One more thing about the Eeltail Alleyway Vending Machine: the Logo vaguely resembles the Japanese spelling of the word "Soda" (ソウダ). I love Splatoon's typography and how it looks just familiar enough for you to make out what it means, while still being different enough to feel unique and somewhat alien
One thing I think you missed was that in scorch gorge, there's an old spawn point somewhere (the ones from splatoon 1&2)
I did miss that! Very cool detail that shows the maps upgrading their spawners altogether. Thanks for mentioning it.
0:49 looks like a smiling face when the octoling is sorta invisible.
hahaha it totally does! This is why I play dualies lol
fun fact, hagglefish seems to actually be in inkopolis as seen by the white buildings with blue windows and the greenery around the hills
I imagine inklings/octolings from Splatsville traveling by train to get to locations like Mahi that must be closer to Inkopolis and making a whole trip just to do turf war lol. Weird to think about cephalopods operating vehicles too
These are all stickers for your locker too
Yes! I've been trying to get as many as possible haha
Thanks for sharing all these super cool details! Do you have a link to the Splatoon world map? I'd love to get a better look at it!
Glad you enjoyed the video! Yes I do!
Here you go: twitter.com/NintendoAmerica/status/1567520595104890880
It's also mentioned in this official interview too: www.nintendo.com/whatsnew/ask-the-developer-vol-7-splatoon-3-part-1/
This video is so very cool!
Thank you so much!
@@DekuGamer
You’re so welcome, stay fresh!
splatoons design is so dang cool
they really are. The designs is what got me hooked into the franchise
We all know what's in the boxes at 7:05
*Hypnoshades*
Hahaha imagine shipping tons of hypnoshades without anyone realizing it
@@DekuGamer Think about it. She is of the people who invented them, and she is team order. *It makes too much sense.*
I only just payed attention to the amazing editing here damn
So happy you liked the editing! I work really hard on it to keep the video interesting, so comments like yours really mean a lot!
The helmets and graffiti you pointed out in Scorch Gorge are actually available as stickers! I can confirm 4 at least since I have each one! Edit: The holographic sticker in Spillway is also available as a sticker. I also have that one!
About the ferris wheel on Hammerhead: It's actually the Wahoo World ferris wheel! During the Splatfest, you could see both light up in the exact same colors.
3:45 Splatoon 3 hub has this too btw
Oh really? Do you remember where it is? I'll have to check that out
If you go where the table turf it you can look around there and theres some at where the truck and construction is
Also. I've found where the side order dlc entrance is. The entrance It's in front of the "deep cut" arch next to the story mode kettle There's a red tape like the train station had and you can hear a jingle sound if you stand there long enough.
I know this is true because i stand on the kettle and i heard two jingle type sound
bc the kettle also has the sound like the first site when you first enter the story mode so the other jingle is from the side order if you stand infront of the red tape.
I will reply to this comment for more details because my switch is dead atm
what if marina went crazy after the final fest and in the splat 3 dlc shes the final boss
that would be so freaking cool ngl
please talk abt the museum. there is so much cool art there.
That's a great idea! Not sure if I should talk about inkblot in the same video as well. I was thinking about doing it in the future, since they're both so similar.
at mince meat metal works go to the far left of your spawn point and position the camera so you can see outside the wall. there is a jellyfish dancing just off stage
The sticker on 0:45 looks more like a dried fish to me rather than a fossil (fish fossil usually don’t look bisected like that even when viewed from above). The stamp/decal/graffiti at eeltail alley on 3:57 is a simplified arowana i think, The stage that the Deep Cut rides on splatfests are also arowana shaped. The fish at hagglefish market on 8:04 looks like a mix of snipefish (or longnose hawkfish) and yellowfin tuna to me, weird fishes...
At first, when I saw the letters at 7:43 , I had originally thought that the letters were a Thai/South East Asian Type Language due to the curves and such.
Yeah same! The lettering style is definitely inspired, but I couldn't make out any words from it.
@@DekuGamer ITS all no words
Not to mention how the phonebooth has a slightly similar design to Kamabo co
It does what the heck. I wonder if there's a connection there, or maybe those waves is what the world associates corporations with? Idk, but that's a very cool find. Thanks for mentioning it!
YOOOOOO DEKU WITH THA VIDEO NICE WORK!!!!
YOOOOO MEG!! Thank you so much! Appreciate you sharing it on Twitter too. You're a real one!
Awesome!!! 🎉🎉❤❤
Thank you!!! 🎉
5:29 I kinda read the sign on the building of mahi-mahi, it said something along the lines of spa and resort.
The helmet stickers on scorch gorge, if I remember correctly, are stickers you can put on your locker
They didn’t mention the old Spawn Pads in Scorch Gorge, which are covered in tarp and unusable.
I find it odd that a new stage has these tarped up Spawn Pads, yet stages such as Mahi Mahi Resort, which return from Splatoon 2, have no spawn points to be found. Not even covered in tarp, or encased and unusable. They’re just gone.
Yeah that's a great point! I wonder why that is? Maybe Scorch Gorge uses that as an "attraction" to the national park? Very strange for sure.
Mahi mahi was never in splat 2.
Also mahi mahi in 3 was completley overhauled so it kinda makes a little bit of sense as to why there is spawn pad. But I digress.
(side note: they turned mahi mahi from one of best stages in the franchise into one of the worst stages 😭)
0:37 this actually isnt a fossil, its a japanese style dried fish. they usually call it "himono" to be specific. they cut the fish in half and spread it out like that to sundry
salmonid smokeyard actually has fish himono hanging all over the place and theyre a pinkish color
Super cool.❤
Thank you! 💛
Designer heaven
This whole franchise is designer heaven
off the hook branded cereal in makomart
Is there really? Where is it? I know a lot of textures have been changed but I haven't taken a thorough look yet
@@DekuGamer everywhere in the damn store
A lot of this graffiti and stickers are available to put in your locker.
Probably my favorite new thing about this game haha
Honestly I kind of wish the construction logo was in Japanese to show it was from humans or maybe cephalopods did make it but they haven’t used it since a flood like they one scene in the sunken scroll
That really would have been a great detail. But maybe since it isn't in Japanese, the implication is that it was used after the extinction at some point?
Angle fish market seems to have been inspired by Rio de Janeiro a lot. It’s pretty crazy seeing the similarities of the skyline and water of similar styles as Rio de Janeiro another video games.
the splatoon graffiti can be purchased as stickers on my nintendo with platinum points (aka free)
What!? When was this happening? I need to get them if they're still available
Vending Machine is actually a brand in Splatoon lore believe it or not. Vending Machine made Tenta Missles and bottles are the missles themselves!
you forgot that the spawn of splatoon 2 and 1 can be seen in the first map but covered
I did forget to mention that so thanks for bringing it up. I think it’s a great detail that really showcases how the maps have developed over time.
Couldn’t help but notice how many of these stickers can also be applied to lockers 🤔 I wonder if they copied map stickers onto lockers or if they enlarged locker stickers for the maps
You missed the strange noises in undertow that can only be heard in recon mode
THAT EYE THAT EYE I'VE BEEN SEEING THIS GOSHDARN EYE EVERYWHERE, IN THE SCREENS IN THE LOBBY, ON SIGNS ON THE STREET, IT'S EVERYWHERE WHAT DOES THAT EYE SYMBOL MEAN AND WHY HAS NOBODY MENTIONED IT. IS ISN'T ANY BRAND
If I had to guess, I think it's just a shop logo. It seems like all of the inaccessible shops have advertisements which is honestly a detail that goes way above and beyond what is expected. I want to make a video on these inaccessible shops in the future for sure. The eye design is so interesting, and we get to see a logo animation of it on the lobby screen.
@@DekuGamer It's also in the newspaper of the zapfish going missing in the initial cutscene of the story mode.
After playing on hammer head during splatfest, yeah that ferris wheel is super noticeable
3:25 I’m not sure that the clarity of water should really be used as an indicator of pollution. TONS of water completely free of any pollution can still be SUPER cloudy and colored, just by natural elements like plants and minerals in the water instead of pollution. Like, pool water is clear, but it’s also full of chlorine. It’s not like someone would want to wash their clothes in pool water.
tentacle to the metal is the best splatoon song (its by wet socks)
Hagglefish is the only new map with flanking, so it’s automatically the best one.
Hollow knight reference ? With the knight and a grub at 7:22
Yeah, I decided to leave comments on. I'm sad Team Grub lost
6:01 I’m not sure if I’m the only one who noticed but is that princess Daisy? Or am I seeing things?
It looks like that is Daisy! haha, people can draw things and they end up on the stages like that.
Most of these stickers of Scorch gorge are available to buy at Harmony’s for your locker, so I don’t think the stickers are for informational purposes. I think it’s another case of sneaky cephalopod children sneaking a sticker in their pockets and managing to stick it on the stage in the midst of battle. That’s what kids do 🤷🏻
That would be pretty funny. But the thing that makes me believe it is for informational purposes, is that they're all in theme. It's very consistent to the stage being in a desert, and with the information of it being a national park, I would assume that there was intention in putting these. But hey, this game is always full of surprises so I wouldn't rule out anything haha
Unrelated but what track is playing at 1:38 :P
That song is the same one for the whole intro. It's called "Tentacle to the Metal by Damp Socks feat Off the Hook"
Thanks
it must be so awkward trying to create a logo that doesn't even have real words and letters in it
I know right. Some of the words actually follow their own made up language too which is pretty crazy
Fun fact abo the vending machines: the company that makes the vending machines Is the same company that makes the tenta missles
