Still coming here to take tutorial on this egusi step by step. I don't cook egusi until this channel is opened and I follow step by step....lol. thanks again.
Honestly Flo, you're a very good teacher. Sometimes, I click on this channel just to enjoy your sweet voice. It's the way you were mixing Igbo for me. This video really made me laugh for once since last night. The soup looks so so so yummy, thanks for the recipe
Made this last night my husband was licking the pot😂. I used pumpkin seeds since I didn’t have enough of our Naija melon seeds. Since my hubby love greens I used a mixture of spinach and collard greens. Also, I opted out of Shaki but used the rib meat, stock fish and left over hard chicken 😅
All the way from the UK . This bachelor followed this recipe and you just won a new follower! Thank you so much my darling sister. It came out so sweet ❤. Your Igbo also added the sweetness to it. I wish I can show you the pictures. Wow 🤩
The soup looks yummy. Egusi soup sure has several methods of preparation. Adding the crayfish and onions first into the meat broth like you did and everything else afterwards is one I will try soon. I like adding Ugu and Uziza leaves .
Yes, this method allows the natural flavour of the egusi to shine through and there's a better fusion of the flavours from the other ingredients. Glad you enjoyed this method.
I had been very nervous to try this in case I get it wrong. Took the step today WOW absolutely amazing 🤩 Easy to follow, fun and the outcome has shocked me. Soooo delicious 😋😋
Sis Flo. Can I just say that I love you! Honestly, I can't thank you enough for all that you have taught me in the cooking ministry. For this soup I just used up the remaining bitter leaf, ugu, and efo tete I had. I also added lots of spring greens, which gave it an additional crunch. God bless you ohhhhh!!!!
Yes o.. putu putu like tiktuk...thanks sis Flo. I just finished cooking this asho ebi egusi colour 😂 I followed you and have cooked some of my cookings according to your specifications. Many thanks. Remain blessed and God bless you.
You and I know that there will be no asoebi! Right? This is my favorite channel. I love how you do it because I have a hard time doing things without understanding why and how. You are the only one who applies science to your cooking. My husband tells me cooking with science is not really cooking. Well, I know it is! He is a good cook and doesn’t complain . So if you stop, hahaha, I am TOAST!😅
Until I see proof that a good number of people STILL want to learn how to cook scientifically, that retirement will happen before you know it. 😂😂😂 Don't worry, you won't be toast. I'm glad you find the videos helpful. ❤
Hello my lovely friend Flo 🥰, I wish I could eat and enjoy your Egusi soup 🍲 😋 👍! I love it so much but your Nigerian's foods take too long to cook... I did Egusi and Edikang soup just once and I really love both of them 😋😍😋! I couldn't believe I did it 😂... Now if I really want to eat Nigerian food, I go directly to the restaurant or delivery because I cannot stay 1h plus in cooking 😂🤣😂! Thanks for sharing your lovely recipe 😘 😋👍🥳...
Hello Flo, thanks for sharing as always. In previous videos you mentioned specifically egusi cooking approx 40- 45mins- for the sake of people trying this for the first time😊
Yummy!!! Like the bitter leaf soup, but the equsi looks yummy too. Between 2020 and 2021 was when I learnt how to wash my stock fish with tooth brush from you. Thanks for always bringing something to our table.
@@FloChinyere oh wow , I didn’t know you invented it, is salute you, it shows you know what you’re doing 🙏 us we just dey learn work plus I only started doing major cooking when I got married recently.

How do you view the idea of cooking egusi soup with vegetable oil and tomato paste, especially for people in the diaspora? I tried it several times, and I liked it a lot
I followed your method and my husband Praised me saying it’s the best he has eaten so far. Thanks you ❤❤

@@nwajidechidi19 not everyone likes it. It’s a personal preference kinda thing
@@nwajidechidi19 It’s not necessary in Egusi soup.
