Addendum Q-15: Just want to add a bit of a fun fact about the Louisiana Purchase: Napoleon Bonaparte sold Louisiana - France's then territory in North America - to the U.S. for $15 million. Perhaps Napoleon felt quite generous, as this deal also included the entirety of the lands corresponding to today's Missouri, Arkansas, Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, and Oklahoma; also, parts of today's Kansas, Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, and Minnesota; as well as small parts of what became the Canadian provinces of Alberta and Saskatchewan. This transaction resulted in the U.S. territory nearly doubling in size! Hope you enjoyed this bit of trivia!
Only a portion of what is now the state of Louisiana was purchased, the full purchase from France involved parts or all of some 15 states & extended into what is now Canada.
The graphic for the last question (Louisiana Purchase) is misleading. It shows the state, rather than the enormous area that stretches from the Gulf of Mexico to the Canadian border. See en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Louisiana_Purchase
This is true, the image focused only on the state itself, while the purchase involved a much larger area! I had added an addendum in the comment section in that regard :) Thanks for watching and commenting, appreciated!
