There are many clone cars in Balkan countries that people driving without any problems for many years. People have been doing this 25 years ago.
The police don't check anything if nothing flags up being wrong because my car was registered wrong! The colour on the v5 says green, but it's black!! I brought the car off a family member, so i know the colour hasn't been charged. I've owned the car for 11 years and never been pulled over!!!
the Vin is also in different places on the car so don't just check the windscreen one as some scammers replace it with a fake one
Thanks Mat for teaching me how to scam and steal cars!
Mat you keep ommiting a very important aspect in most cars you review, the full tank capacity that has tremendous effect on us here in Africa....
I live in Holland. My Seat Leon was cloned. I got a mail from Seat Club Netherlands that my account was disabled because the car was exported to Germany, but my car was on my driveway. It didn’t ring a bell for me. Later I got two fines for speeding on roads where I didn’t even drove. Then I saw on the Dutch DVSA I guess it’s called in England that my car was exported and my car wasn’t insured anymore. That raised suspicion and I knew my car was cloned. I challenged the fines but in the end annoyingly I had to pay 1 of the speeding tickets, which cost me 380 euro’s😅 I also had to get a duplicated numberplate which cost me money.
While it's good to know what to look out for, it's also a great training video for those wanting to do it...
bro thinks he's Mark McCann 💀😭
Who?
Who ?
Who?
Who?
Who????
so if I get a parking ticket and I say it's not my car will they cancel it?
Don't clone a car located in Oxford when you live in London. Chance of being pulled for being so far away.
Mark did an eye opening video on this and just before I finished watching it was taken down but I saw to the end! Hopefully he republishes
7:34 there you go, get rid of the congestion charging zone and it's one less reason to clone license plates
