They filmed this back in 2022, but yes… 2 releases in less than a year. Almost like Mia Goth & Ti West with X and Pearl but a bit more unhinged.

I can also see myself doing the same thing. I wrote a bunch of original movie scripts, am currently poor but also trying to save money on getting my scripts copyrighted. I had this goal last year that would help move my career forward but then I ended up with an expensive hospital bill which stopped me(it came out of nowhere I didn't expect this to happen). I'm hoping this year of 2024 I finally get my goal completed.

Pretty sure Poor Things was shot in 2021 and this was shot in 2022. The strike definitely caused both to be delayed, so this quick back to back release is definitely rare.

After watching "The Favourite" for the first time when I was 18, Yorgos Lanthimos became one of my favorite directors of all time. I watched "Poor Things" for the first time two days ago, and it was weird but excellent at the same time. "The Lobster", "Dogtooth" and "The Killing of a Sacred Deer" are all dark but exceptionally well-made.
Who knows, maybe "Kinds of Kindness" might be my new favorite Yorgos Lanthimos movie once it comes out in theaters.💯
I saw the Lobster in theaters when I was 15 living in NYC I've been lucky enough to see all his films opening weekend since 2015 my personal favorite may actually be the Killing of a Sacred Deer

The most exciting filmmaker today. This looks so different from anything he’s ever done and still directed perfectly.
For me, Yorgos is up there with Nolan, Denis, and Scorcese. He has that distinct voice. This is one of my most anticipated movies of the year.

As a Greek film lover, Yorgos is a unique story. When he started making films like Kinetta and Dog tooth everybody thought that he would be one of the ultra artistic / experimental directors only for the sophisticated few. Thank god he proved us all wrong. This movie, even though the trailer reveals nothing about the story, already has my attention because Yorgos is playing for the first time with warm colours, a very different photography from all the previous cold colours... could it be the first non - absurdist movie of his? who knows but it looks like he is going out in plain air... exciting!
I love how the feel of this is totally different from poor things. I think Yorgos may be putting out his best in recent times.
The cinematography already looks awesome,cant wait to see it in June
