The half worn items ideas was soooo super helpful for me. I have a chair that is always covered in my clothes for the week - stuff gets buried and wrinkly but if I get a hanging rack that would ensure they get hung up and it would clean up that constantly messy spot! Thank you!!

I use a different colour hanger for those half-worn items and hang them all together on one end of the rail so they are easy to identify from all my other clean clothes. No need to buy a separate rack and it works 😊

I also like to switch things seasonally- not only because of a lack of space but it helps to enjoy your wardrobe more ❤

I definitely want to try out the rack as my half-worn storage! I’m tired of clothes living on a chair 😩

You should! Or try a container/ draw if you have room ❤ getting mine off the chair has made me feel soooo much better 😌❤️ I believe in you 😋😋

I'm into the boxes too. Gift sets (toiletries, tea, etc) often come in nice thick cardboard too. If you ever buy baby wipes in plastic tubs, those (minus the lids) are perfect for smaller things like socks & knickers. Most of those are in drawers.
When things are out on display because of lack of closet/drawer space, i'll choose a wicker baskets (new or from the op shop).
My half-worn things go into a big leather hatbox that belonged to my Grandma. I close the lid and you can't see them.

Love this so much! ❤ we are on the same page 😆 the baby wipes one is a clever repurpose. I don’t buy them in those boxes but hopefully someone else see’s this 🥰 x

I have a list for all my summer clothes, for fall/winter, and for year-round clothes so I know exactly what I have and where I kept them. Storing seasonal items helps keep them newer and helps me enjoy more of my clothes. Also I have a word for those half-worn items- “clirty”- half-clean, half-dirty 😂 Great video as always!

I think in Australia you use a lot of clothes all year round. However, living in Japan, you do not need all your sweaters, all your thermals, all your coats hanging around all year long, so I am a big fan of putting off season clothes away. Akso, if I don't put away sweaters, knits, woollies then they get eaten by silver fish as the summer is very humid. I do quick clean up of the living room and bedroom every night too. Waking up to a clean space is refreshing and effective. Thanks for your tips XX

Yeah I think it depends where in Australia though, the weather here differs from state to state. I still find great value in putting away seasonal items for half of the year. But someone living in Queensland probably wouldn’t because it doesn’t get as cold there.
How good is the tidy before bed. Makes you feel good going to bed when you know you’ll be waking up to a fresh house 😌❤️

Thanks for the tips. I also watch Signe! The problem I have with putting away seasonal items is that seasons are different here. They’re less extreme. Almost blending into one another. For example, I don’t own any heavy coats an I’m still wear summer T shirts in winter, just adding a layer. There wouldn’t be many items I’d want to put away. What part of Australia do you live in? I’m in Sydney.

Oh I’m in Sydney too!! ❤️ how lucky we are to live here.
Totally understand, the seasons are less dramatic here. I have still had a lot of my summer things in storage though this winter, and once winter has gone I put all my knits and wool items in storage and swap around.
I also still have my collection of coats from when I lived in Melbourne and London. I hardly wear them here, but I cannot part with them 🥹

If, you can find the room, place summer clothing into its own closet. Make sure that you clean it, wash it, repair it. You can write down what you have for each season. Analyzize your lists, look at those clothes. You may want to remove, donate or sell what no longer suits you. Clothes closets are impermanent. Things go in and things go out of them.
