Been there 6 times over a 15 year time period and it gets better with every visit. It is such a huge warehouse and there are so many things to see, the owner rides a bicycle around. He is extremely friendly and very knowledgeable plus, he packs a six gun. Highly recommended.
watch 3:13 Tank lower left, turret moves and you see a minute flash right after. Others may have happened before but it is after 4am and I am not going to go through it again.
So cool! I didn't know this was a thing. The reason that there were no shooting sounds coming from the tanks because they had infrared cameras that shot lasers at each other.
"It takes about 2 years to become confident" Shit, if its taken you guys 2 years to overcome your social anxiety enough to turn them on and drive a little bit, how long till you work up the confidence to actually battle with them? 😂
It can take anywhere from another 2 to 10 years for these guys to get a shot off. Some of the unlucky ones may never get to fire a load in actual battle and will only use their guns in private.
Put em in a bulletproof glass area and have .22 longs in em and battle! The paintball idea is great too, but destruction makes things more fun. Look at Robot Wars, fun as heck
Using BBs or airsoft guns would make this game way to complicated and difficult to play as the turrets can barely fit a bb cannon in there. Instead precise thermal laser cameras are used to accurately depict if they hit the rc tank. Then the tank loses control and you have to manually go and pick up the tank and reset it. Or the tank shines red from its led lights and notifies you that your dead.
Daniel Kostenko well your wrong since you can go from this video and see people showing their RC tanks that shoot airsoft BBS so they can fit in the barrel, try researching something before you act like you know everything.

Standing around operating your tanks, you might as well have been a drone or helicopter watching the entire battle field. The spectators can remain in the battle room. It might give a more unique perspective to the tank operators using POV.
For me the hardest was flying the RC plane to bomb the vans. Second was shooting the RC planes to defend the shop. The mini wargame I actually enjoyed.
How to make this more fun. Get a human dressed as Godzilla and give him a hammer. Equip 50 75 lbs metal tanks with powerful paintbull gun and flame throwers. The Tanks goal is to fire at Godzilla until he drops or changes color. Godzillas goal would be to smash all the tanks with it's hammer. And as other commenter stated- give tank driver pov goggles. Fire extinguishers will be on ready just in case Godzilla is covered in flames.
Tireless Cloud77 real talk that's the crew that goes home gets old and gets to be a guest on a tank battles show and talk about how many tanks they walloped
So, to make this REALLY cool a couple things need to happen. The tanks need to operate at scale rate of speed as well. Having them race out of the spot and race across the map is unrealistic. Need to put cameras on the tanks for POV and have screens above the map for each tank showing their POV. This would pull the audience into the experience like nothing else giving a ground level feel to the viewing angle. Make it so operator can only operate tanks from this POV in another room. Having them stand over the map feels like cheating as you wouldn’t be able to see the whole thing in a real situation. It would make the need for cooperation along teams much more of a requirement like real life. Audience could listen in on audio (provided it’s not overtly r-rated ;-) God mode view is no fun. Realistic sound effects would be awesome, but even more so, realistic firing smoke when a tank fires. As a spectator seeing a huge puff of smoke would be a really cool experience and make the environment pull in audience like a magnet. ‘Check out over there!” Have live target reactions on the tanks. If you hit the turret , it would literally pop off with a cool explosion sound fx. Makes the damage seem realistic. Hitting the side or a track would slow the tank down to half speed of regular move speed for a limited amount of time. Add mine fields and other road side IEDs randomly though out map. Optionally have dedicated mine sweepers that would have to clear the way for tanks. Have a gunner and a driver. Like a real tank the driver would not be loading and firing weapon. Separating them would make it closer to reality as well. I love this setup but soooo much more could be done with relatively low investment to make this a money maker attraction and closer to real life experience.
Yeah lol when i was a kid i used to have one that would shoot bbs, and ran on gas, had a tank for baby oil so the tank would look like smoke is coming out of the exhaust, also had built in speakers that made noise when you shot. Thing could go through snow, water, dirt and mud, grass and tall grass. It could climb curbs and logs thing was bad ass. There is my inner nerd kicking in, but yes the lasers make the "tank war" boring
Oh about the gas it did have an exhaust but the baby oil was to make it smoke more. And mine did have a laser mode for indoors but i never used it. Also if you got shot by another rc tank the baby oil would smoke out of the area the tank was shot
This seems like an activity that is way more fun on paper than it is in practice
Definitely

This sounds exactly how a Japanese prank show would do something like this
😂🤣😂🤣 LMFAO
Oh that’s the tank museum in Danville! I’ve been there so many times, really cool place, love it!
WOT talk
Look at that noob hiding in the corner
Tireless Cloud77 lol
Tireless Cloud77 real talk that's the crew that goes home gets old and gets to be a guest on a tank battles show and talk about how many tanks they walloped
Camper?
camping noobs.
ElijahThatGuy fck camping I would rather get nerfed by surB.
This is what has become of my life. I should be getting up and making something of myself. Instead I’m watching this.
I wonder if there’s more. ...
You could watch the old junk RV demolition derby - that kills brain cells...
SO glad I wasn't there.
Some man use any excuse to play with rc cars: "no, this is serious stuff, this is WWII reenactment"... lol
My thoughts.
Tanks for this video. Looks like everyone had a hull of a time. Maybe a cupola drinks for the winners.
And this ladies and gentlemen is why we have video games instead of the real world
This is cool af, wish we could have seen them firing on each other though
Never was into RC stuff, but this makes me want to be a kid again playing Army
guess world of tanks does exist in real life
minus the screaming children
cant have everything
yep and minus the screaming children is a good thing
You can do paintball with tanks 😀 in the uk
No there are still probably screaming children the just have a controller to throw at you
thats why secuity exist and punching..you may get sued but its worth it
Mounting little airsoft guns on those tanks would make this game fun. Or use little pellet guns and actually destroy each others' tanks.
I expected that since I saw an R/C tank that does exaclty what you've said.
There Many RC tanks that can fire Softair bullets with high pressure.
@@f4fphantomii468 Then again it could hit someone's eye in the crowd.
@@JonatasAdoM yeah, But they exist. I have one.
@@JonatasAdoM but your right, Cuz the Area isn't secured by glass or something
Russians in the AXIS at the beginning? Wow, this guy has a huge problems with history.
And it's held at a museum. I'm awestruck.
A shame this has 11 million views but so few people come to this museum. I recommend you all go during this time OR during Flame Thrower Day
Boiz: “It’s World of Tanks!”
Men: *San Andreas flashbacks*
Yes
Zero Mission
To make it more challenging and realistic, they should all have FPV with goggles so they can only see the tank’s point of view.
Hmm... great point. I hope some hopeful futuristic investor hears this out.
To make it more challenging and realistic, they should let the tanks actually fire lol
Ace C. What you are saying is fun for spectators but whatever @marine said is from the perspective of a player.
Good idea
the combined BMI of everyone there exceeded the actual number of tanks in WW2.
Damn this place is PACKED. These guys know how to have fun
IT would've been a lot better, put a camera on your tank, instead of watching the entire battlefield.
i little go pro would be cool great idea
giorgio Freitas fpv, not a gopro
Maybe a drone surveying the battlefield with a camera
Then play wot. Or war thunder lol
Behind the scenes of a Japanese Godzilla Movie
Wtf he talking about, USSR had a non-aggression pact with Germany until 1939 but it was never Axis
This looks like more fun than war thunder and I already have a 1:16 henglong tiger 1… I MUST GO
So, to make this REALLY cool a couple things need to happen.
‘Check out over there!”
Have live target reactions on the tanks.
I love this setup but soooo much more could be done with relatively low investment to make this a money maker attraction and closer to real life experience.
where is the gun fight...
lotuz A its laser triggered
All fun and games until cross fire takes out a spectator. 🤣😂
Superfort29 yeah just kidding🙄
I had no idea this specific hobby exists. Pretty awesome ngl.
