The bus seen out the window at 7:08 (the one with the green stripe) is actually from MCTS in my hometown. Those busses were retired in 2000 when our compoany went with all New Flyer low floor busses.
@BryceCBS Thats the one. They were originally painted creme color, then switched to green when the county took over the transit system in 1977, then were refurbished in the mid 80's to the look seen there before being retired in 2000.
Thanks, off the top of my head I'm not sure about Montreal buses, you could check their fleet listing at trolleymuseum org. Yes, I noticed that too about the New Looks, over the bumpier parts it sounded like the bus was going to fall apart :)
Well if youve ever been on a New-look in Montreal, those rattling windows were the norm. Funny how the first gen Nova (shitbox) LFS took over that role, and it was the only thing they had in common with fishbowls.
Thanks for posting! Does anyone know if the Seashore Museum will be having Transit Day again (2023)? .. Or, if there are any other 'old school' bus exhibits/shows coming up in the New England or NY/NJ area? Thanks
Just another lonely day on my block where I always catch my bus, I hoped it wouldn't stop today it'd be just the 2 of us, But it showed up just like it always does about 20 minutes late, I told her it'd be right along but she said she couldn't wait.
Excellent, excellent footage. Im sure this is what vintage bus an trolley heaven is like! Are there any ex-Montreal vehicles there? A few Brills got my attention...Btw, the only thing I ever hated about the New-looks were those annoying rattling windows! I wanted to go to this event three years ago, but maybe one day....
When I got hired at SEPTA in 1978 THIS is what the YARD at Allegheny Depot looked like ...When you asked the Blocker for a BUS he would say take any piece of JUNK you want...and it was ALL OLD GM FISHBOWL JUNK..1 gear ..no outside right hand mirrors ..human waste on the bus...No A/C WELCOME to SEPTA KID...
A dirty rotten SHAME that here on the west coast, they're large offstreets (though Montebello DOES have an old garage with 'rm and Flx lokalikes, and Old Looks, even a Scenicruiser)
You need to bring this Bus to bladensburg Division in DC and painted it in DC Transit color and Created metrobus again and put the malfunctioning smartrip box on it and update for all routes in the Washington DC area.
there's nothing wrong with GMC fish bowl buses and it looks like a ex oc transpo but I've like the flxible new look buses from 1969 -78 more and nobody make a toy flxible new look bus they have been mistaken as a fish bowl
Good video! AM Generals, Flxibles, and GM New Looks are my favorite old buses.

looks almost like the OC Transpo new looks ( the livery design ) except ours was red and the upwards design was more in the middle

Nice to see a Flyer 700 (the third "New Look" model) preserved somewhere. I wasn't sure if there was one anywhere. (wonder if that one is D or E).
THOSE WHERE THE DAYS I MISS THEM
Wow, MAINE! That's WAY across the country from where I'm in [California.]
Well if youve ever been on a New-look in Montreal, those rattling windows were the norm. Funny how the first gen Nova (shitbox) LFS took over that role, and it was the only thing they had in common with fishbowls.
Okay, I will see what I can do, but I don't get up to Maine that often
that Bus Sounded like it didn't wanna move at all lol
I love those old GMC buses
Personally, I love rattly windows, poles etc; it gives a bus character. :-)
you must stay above 50 or this bus will explode

@WillWatchAnything Yes the County took over Transit in 1975 not 1977 these 1900's didnt retired until 2001

they sure dont make them like they used to
They sure don't!!
The powertrain sounds like a Detroit Diesel 8V71N with Allison V730.
ClassicTVMan1981X If the shifter says RND21 it certainly is one.
Nice on-bus footage! Wheres "The Bus" from? (3:02)
Bonito autobús! Me recuerda a la pelicula de Speed Movie

exelente aporte, saludes desde Costa Rica
@2fanradio Thank you

Is that a 1975 your riding on?
@dredre1315 Transit day 2010 is already over

No, they weren't running
Cool, I didn't know that.

That's a ex Prince George's County Transit bus
And make a version of 111cc d-5 Flxible buses and bring them to Washington DC and created metrobus.
Ex-TTC #7521 at 1:18.
Those buses need to be taken out on the road and opened up. Not just idling and moving around the property.
Funny watching a video and I'm sitting in the bus..
