One reason I enjoy shooting film is the tactile parts of the process itself. Developing it myself is also part of the enjoyment and a side benefit is that it saves me money. After 50 years of photographing a variety of subject matter, I still have not lost the love for it. I have a variety of film and digital cameras from different brands and enjoy them all. I also shoot over 25k images a year on digital and love that too.
Because Canada is huge….snowing out West, here in Ottawa warm and humid! I own a Zf, Zfc, and Z7II in the mirrorless ecosystem….I have been waiting, waiting, waiting to see if Z6III or Z90 are announced. I finally decided that l am happy with what I have camera wise, and decided Z glass was the better way to spent my money….so 100-400mm f 4.5-f5.6 Z has found its way to my collection. It is early, but I am loving it! I still have a dozen film and DSLR Nikons , and a plethora of F glass that I regularly use. Lenses always seems the better use of money!
From Melbourne, Australia. Fuji XT50 has a rrp of $2500 in Australia and the lowest price for XT5 I saw in the last few months is about $2300 from a brick and mortar shop. That is kind of strange how XT50 is hitting the market at $2500 when you can get XT5 for lower price. I have GFX100S, I kind of feeling weird why Fuji is not getting 3rd party lenses or getting some other parties to look at working on 3rd party lenses, corporate greed I guess. I am using a lot of Sigma lenses on my Fuji 100S ( I use the ART series. 40mm, 50mm, 85mm, 105mm and 135mm). For me GFX100ii is the only Fujifilm release that interested me. My next Fuji camera maybe GFX 100 S3 when they are price right. At the moment I am saving up for a Nikon Z8.
Watching from north/central part of Connecticut USA. About 1/2 way between NYC and Boston. Never get to watch live since someone needs to work :) So have to catch up Fri night or over the W/E.
If Z6 III doesn’t happen, I will get a Canon R6 mk2. Thought about a Z7 but don’t see it better than Z6. Sunny day with beautiful clouds today here in Oklahoma.
Nikon dx mirrorless is meh so far because they’ve just been snap shop cameras. Bring out a z500 and watch them fly off the shelves. Amazing fast focus and 15 + fps. Bring it!
Time for z6iii

For Nikon, dx mirrorless is for vlogging, street photography not more. Hope that changes...
