Thank you so much for this video. Most M8 videos are not useful. They just show someone playing with their m8 not explaining anything. Seems most younger musicians have adhd. They bounce around screens their cursors flying around the screen with no explanation. So it is great that you made a clear instruction. I appreciate it
Great video. Does the M8 have a way to fade the beginning and end of an audio sample to alleviate pops and clicks that may occur as one sample chop transitions to the next?
Hey ! Are you sure about loading 32 bits samples on the SD card ? Actually I just load 24 bits samples on mine and the manual say it’s only possible to load 8,16 or 24 bits samples. For direct sampling you’re right, it’s 16 bits.
So do you open a new sampler instrument to activate the live record sampling ? I plugged my drum machine line level into the audio in of my M8 and I can add effects and hear it in the mix , but Can not find a sample recording menu anywhere??
That downsample sounds great and so easy. Your analysis is intelligent and clear.
Thanks for the kind words…you should see the outtakes.
Thanks for posting this man!
Not enough quick little tutorials on the m8 like this.
Awesome. Glad it helped. Let me know if there’s anything specific you want covered.
Thanks for this! I'd never used the sampler before and this was super helpful
You’ve unlocked a part of the m8 that I never knew I had… absolute legend!
Dude thanks so much for doing this little feature highlight. This is some super deep offerings that I never expected to find on the M8!
Awesome - glad it was helpful. Thanks for watching.

Great vid! downsample is changing the sample rate not the bit depth. Eg. 44100 -> 22050 -> 11025 etc
Thanks Impbox. Appreciate the correction.
Ahh thank you for that cause I was wondering on that last one when it would have been 0.5 bit... haha
Keep the video's coming, They are very helpful.
this is hugely informative and helpful. thank you for sharing.
Awesome! Thank you for the support.
Excellent tips throughout, I dig your info style. This was super helpful!
Thank you so much. Appreciate the support.
Good to see Chance as an option, especially as someone coming from modular. My M8 is due to arrive in a few days.
There’s a Random command as well for independently feeding random values to the elements left and/or right of it.
Solid tutorial and great tune. Keep ‘em coming! 🙏🏻
Thanks, Mike. Appreciate the kind words.
Nice work! Thanks for putting this together.
🙏
Great video. Does the M8 have a way to fade the beginning and end of an audio sample to alleviate pops and clicks that may occur as one sample chop transitions to the next?
Absolutely. There are two assignable envelopes that could be used to fade volume in/out.
@@monsterlogostudios awesome. Thanks!

You’re correct - can only load samples up to 24-bit

That's correct. Create a new sampler instrument and you'll see the "REC" option on the right side of the screen, opposite "LOAD".
@@monsterlogostudios thanks 😊
How did you capture screen?…
I used the web-based M8 remote display linked at the bottom of this page dirtywave.com/pages/resources-downloads
Thanks!
