      Ummmm - I hate you, and I'm so jealous while completely envious at the same time. That being said, I'm so glad to see that someone saw this! I've seen both bands live, but Yukina and Mayu together? I'm pretty sure I would be catatonic for days....

    Nemophila has become my favorite band recently. Absolutely sick shreds, the drumming is too notch, Mayu has the dirtiest vocal fry, just amazing. They did a cover of "Stuck" they put out this morning that is awesome too

    That crazy dissonant solo Hazuki does always gets me-it sounds so out of place but it’s intentional. Gotta check out “Enten.” No video for it but it heavy as hell and has som cool traditional Japanese sounds in it.

    Haraguchi-San wrote a really heavy banger. I love it! Mayu kills the harsh vocals. Try another amazing Haraguchi-San song Hypnosis. It’s completely different but awesome.

    Nemophila - "baby blue eyes" flower, "Rurikarakusa" in Japanese; grows in N-America and is appreciated in Japan (see "Hitachi Seaside Park").
    The band was formed in 2019, originally as a "session" brought together by...
    Mayu - the vocalist (ex- Lipstick band);
    Haraguchi-san - bass, backing vocals, was Mayu's friend and colleague from Music College (ex - Holderlins band);
    Tamu Murata - drums, backing vocals, one the most respected session musician in Japan (countless bands), with also her own original carrier; she's also the wife of Akira Yamaoka, musician/composer, known especially for his videogames OSTs, in particular for "Silent Hill";
    Saki (ex - "Mary's Blood" band for a decade, and others), she's a "young sacred monster" in J-metal) guitar, backing vocals, and...
    Hazuki (Li-sa-X / KOIAI bands) - guitar, backing vocals; both, Saki and Hazuki have a lot of experience.
    Nemophila made an amazing fandom impression during the pandemic, thru RUclips clips...so far about 40 Western/Japanese awesomely bonkers covers, and over 30 original freakishly good songs (singles, EPs, 2 albums - "Revive" and "Seize The Faith").
    Discography, alphabetical order:
    01. ADABANA - 徒花 - "Fruitless/seedless flower"
    02. Another Story (ballad)
    03. A Ray Of Light
    04. Back into the wild
    05. Blooming
    06. Breaking Out
    07. Change the World
    08. Creature
    09. DISSENSION
    10. ENTEN - 炎天 - "Scorching/blazing heat/sun"
    11. Fighter
    12. GAME OVER (ballad)
    13. Hōzuki - 鬼灯 - "Demon Light" - "Winter cherry" / "Japanese lantern" plant
    14. HYPNOSIS
    15. Life (ballad - their "official anthem")
    16. MONSTERS
    17. Night Flight
    18. now I here (ballad)
    19. OIRAN - "Courtesan" (their first original song, in february 2020)
    20. OSKR
    21. RAITEI - 雷霆 - "Thunder"
    22. REVIVE
    23. RISE

    25. Rollin’Rollin’
    26. Seize the Faith
    27. Soaring ~to be continued~(instrumental)
    28. SORAI - "Autumn wind" (was supposed to be the original name for the band)

    32. ZEN
    ________
    - Another Story... written during the pandemic, with the purpose of lifting the spirit;
    not part of any official release or performed in any concert...
    but - according to Saki - "it's part of 'Yell to Art, Tokyo Project' (started by Tokyo Metropolitan Government to offer place for artists to upload their work...since all lives, concerts, events and exhibitions had been suspended, all venues had been closed";
    was posted on RUclips, on this channel: アートにエールを!【音楽 1ch】; although is no longer there, there are some reactions to it, just search "NEMOPHILA / AnotherStory".
    - Breaking Out, Creature, Ultramarine... not part of any official release, but they are performed sometimes in the concerts.
    - Blooming...released only on the official Nemophila RUclips channel, it is performed sometimes in the concerts.

    Hello, I am an old Japanese guy.
    As someone may have already informed you, Nemophila is the name of a plant with a small flower with five modest pale blue petals (It's the logomark of this band). The phonetic symbols is "nimɑ'fələ | -mɔ'f-."
    However, in Japan, this plant is pronounced "nemofìlə," and this band is usually called by that pronunciation in Japan. Therefore, the fans all tend to pronounce it the Japanese way.

    The same reason othe bands from overseas are not popular here in America. Radio airplay. The rock stations where I live in New York are using the same playlist from 1989. Nothing has changed. I put it on every once in a while when I feel like hearing Heart , Pink Floyd, Pat Benatar, Led Zeppelin, Billy Idol, Aerosmith , Guns and Roses and Def Leppard in that order on a loop. I

    Japanese metal is really getting more and more attention these days. Bands like BABYMETAL and Hanabie. Passcode and Nemophila doing more tours in the US and Otoboke Beaver tour coming up. Its opening people eye's. The second way you said Nemophila was correct. 7:19 .

    Great reaction bud. So cool all the Nemophila songs you are watching. This band can play anything! Their originals are the amazing and their covers they do always cool and kick ass. They are kick ass musicians and Mayu has such a unique voice. I love her voice. Be sure to check out Adabana by them too you are going to dig it. Revive is another banger also Rise. For a something a little different try Hypnosis with its great chuggy riff and Style which is kinda like nu metal. They even kick ass at the slower songs they have. Try Life which is a beautiful song and also Now I Here if you like a ballad type song from them. The solo between Hazuki and Saki is very cool on that one.

    "Neh-moe-FEE-la" (but if you want to pronounce it like a Japanese person - even though it's not a Japanese word - don't overdo the stress on the third syllable: Japanese doesn't really use stress accent).
    Nemophila are going strong as my favorite band on the planet for at least three years now (and it's not quite five years old!). I've seen them twice (their first out-of-Japan show at Whisky a Go Go was the first!), and they're insanely good in person. Mad chops, buckets of chemistry and charisma...legit rockstars. Hoping to see them tomorrow night here in Sapporo. Some bad timing prevented me from getting an advance ticket and it's sold out, but I'm gonna drop by the venue (walking distance...) and hope to get lucky. Yeah, that's dumb, in part because it's going to be sub-freezing, but I can't help it. This band is too good.

    As has been said in previous comments - Nemophila is a flower. Five petals, blue - grows in the US, but also in Japan. Great logo - big story behind the selection of the band's name, yada-yada-yada. If you're a biologist from Western Europe or the US, you will say Neh-mah-fuh-luh. However, if you're a member of the band, you will say Neh-mo-fee-lah. It's their band, so I pronounce it Neh-mo-fee-lah. In the concert that this video comes from, Mayu tells the audience that it's not Nee-Mo (like the fish), but Neh-Mo. And I do what Mayu tells me to do. I'm pretty sure her husband and son do the same, so that's good enough for me.

    Because there not signed to a US or EU record label (there independent) there never going to get radio play out side of Japan The us and UK where i am from have heavily controlled play lists .Nemophila have gone down the You Tube path because its world wide and not controlled by Labels they actively encourage reactors and even follow some of them .The concert this was taken from i watched streamed live to my PC they cost about $30 and you can watch it as much as you want for about 10 days just dont record and put it on YT that will get you a strike there awesome HD quality and on a big screen it like your there. The second version you saying of there name is correct.

    Reason they're not popular in America because of america. It's got to be hip hop rap or s*** pop music with Taylor Swift. There's only a couple of bands in the US that I Auto the newer Rock I won't listen to the old bands anymore. I want to listen to European metal in Japanese metal
