Cool video - I've never checked my travel, but now I will. You know, on my BX1860 I use a shovel to go that last mile to lift the tire onto the studs, then tighten everything down.
😦 oh I’m way out of adjustment lol. I didn’t know the brake pedal went that high. Mine at rest without it applied is MAYBE 4” I didn’t feel like looking in the manual but I can always count on you to have made a video for whatever tractor question I had! 😂
Great video!! My PB travel over 4 inches!!! on my 2680. I’m not strong enough either to lift my fluid tire in place… I did find it pretty easy to use a creeper & reach from the underside & not half to remove tire… yes I had to get up a few times to measure. I counted that as my workout for the day…….😊
Looks pretty quick and simple to adjust. I need to check mine since I'm over the 50 hour "break-in" on the tractor. The 50 hour service on the BX wasn't bad either, just lots of fluid to change...more of a hit on the wallet than anything...I think it took maybe an hour to change the engine oil/filter, fuel filters, and hydraulic fluid and filters....not too bad of a job, just messy...at least for me, an oil/filter change always requires dumping oil all over the place LOL. I still need to do the front axle, need to go over and get more hydraulic fluid first, I don't think I have enough left from the transmission/hydraulic system fluid change to do the front axle. Routine maintenance saves you a lot of down time in the future from wear and tear, and breaking things from lack of regular services and adjustments....spend a few minutes now doing the maintenance rather than several hours later fixing it...or worse waiting days, weeks, or months for the dealer to get to it to fix it.
Yeah, I thought the bottom fuel filter was the toughest part of that 50hr. I didn’t do my hydraulic fluid until 200. Just the filter. I also swapped the front axle fluid for gear lube. I think this is the second time I’ve adjusted my brake pedal. I’m at a little over 400hrs now…
@@PeeksPeakHobbyHomestead Is there any difference in operating feel having gear oil in the front axle instead of the hydraulic fluid? Wonder if they do hydraulic fluid because its a bit thinner so it flows down into the portal axles quicker and easier? I haven't really decided yet which way to go with the front axle fluid, I've heard several say they switch to gear oil and I don't think I've ran across anyone saying they've experience any issues, but the manual does say you can use either.
Lucas: excellent info. Like you said, if you can see it on Utube.... That is how I get my info also. I am hands-on not book-on. The young guy wants to drive the BUG sooooo bad. Watch out that he does not turn it into a dune buggy. Take care and stay safe.
Thanks Lucas I have to adjust my pedal to thanks for reminding me. Hey just checking if you watched our wheel dolly video I think 🤔 it will help next time you have to take off your wheel 🛞 😁👍🚜💨💨🍳
Yeah I did exactly what you said and came to RUclips before going to the manual. 🤣 Awesome video and instructions. Thank you!!
I was just looking at that pushrod on my new 1880 today and wondered what it was for… your video timing is perfect! Thanks!
Good deal! Glad it was useful!

Good idea!
Great video, I need to do mine. Knowing me I'll give the wheel well a quick power wash at the same time.
Good "how to", Lucas. This will help a lot of DIYers. "No wheelies"...🤣🤣
🤷🏼♂️ He’s my boy. It has to be said! 😂

1050 hours and probably never been adjusted

Nice work! I really didn’t even try to do it that way. Smart thinking. You have to do what works for you! 👊

@@wildbill23c I couldn’t tell any difference at all. 🤷🏼♂️
@@PeeksPeakHobbyHomestead Thanks. It would be nice to just use the gear oil, would save a 70 mile round trip to the dealership for UDT2 LOL.
Very helpful Lucas, thanks !👍🏻
Thanks for the support!

I don’t believe I have. I must have missed it. I’ll check it out. Thanks, Mitch!
Nice easy adjustment.. why do they put the adjustment nuts in such a hard place.. move it aft a bit would make it easier to adjust...
It’s an evil plan to get folks to let the dealer do it! 😂🤣😂 Thanks for watching, Ross!
@@PeeksPeakHobbyHomestead you aren't wrong. Definitely see that with cars....
@@PeeksPeakHobbyHomestead Ross posted a new video for your son 🤣
@@bhall7997 lol. Wheelie challenge!
No wheelies ............. he wants too ...........🤣🤣
I can see it in his eyes. 👀 😂
You don’t have to the wheel off.
They couldn’t put that adjustment somewhere else.
Sheeze!
