People tend to add things like audio and/or visual effects to try & fool RUclips’s content ID copyright tool. Idk if you’ve seen it before but a lot of channels that upload tv shows will put a person in the bottom corner that looks green screened into the picture that moves but makes no sound or they’ll either zoom in the show or zoom out the show & put something in the background with the tv show being in a tiny box in the middle, etc etc. it’s all stuff to try & get past RUclips’s automated copyright system, you can do the same thing with audio, for example in my videos audio is very important because of dialogue but some streamers tend to play copyright music so I distort the audio just enough so the music isn’t as loud or noticeable but also so it doesn’t mess up the audible words, a lot of time that in itself is enough for RUclips to not copyright the music however because it doesn’t sound great I’ll put a different copyright free song over top of the same tempo or higher to mask out the copyrighted music even farther so not only does RUclips’s automated copyright system not realize the music is there but most viewers won’t realize it either.
I see more opportunity in accessibility and force multiplication than surgery, pill pushing and bartending. Anyone with mobility issues less severe than quadriplegia can regain or obtain complete productivity. And with a suitably powerful waldo one person can gain the strength of 10, 20, a hundred and use that power to the maximum without health and safety concerns. Healthcare is fraught with a lot of regulatory requirements and the biggest concern with regards to this telepresence is latency during a procedure causing someone to screw up. The AR side could work but the company is about remote control of robotics, not VRChat for doctors.
Whether Steven likes the idea of a robot serving his grandad food, it's going to be necessary in the not too distant future. It also frees the humans up for more important tasks like actually spending time with the people talking, helping them do things they might struggle with. New technologies are always hit with criticism but they can be worked on as they are implemented and we will see which things they improve and which they don't. He was also picking that 1 specific and small part of the guys suggested implementation and basing his whole position on that. The first 4 or 5 pitches I watched with Steven I liked but after watching a few more since I've really gone off him.
But they are investing now to sell out in the near future . You cannot invest your money on pure speculation. His argument is valid because it is his money at stake
Peter need to brush up on his current affairs. This technology has existed for decades and is accurate enough to perform remote surgery... "The first true and complete remote surgery was conducted on 7 September 2001 across the Atlantic Ocean, with a French surgeon (Dr. Jacques Marescaux) in New York City performing a cholecystectomy on a 68-year-old female patient 6,230 km away in Strasbourg, France."
What's the point ? You still need some mug in a headset to do something that they could do anyway, so you still pay his wages and the massive robot cost and maintenance ! So if I want a cup of tea I put on a head set and do the same movements and hope the robot doesn't spill the tea ...
tbh i dont understand why he made him an offer, isnt this tech already available ? i did read somewhere of doctors performing surgeries from a long distance using robots .. it's not something new at all
makes no sense...needs to raise millions more...giving up 25% this early ruins the cap table making furher fundraising impossible...but I guess this is entertaining and exposure for everybody
So you buy 20 robots to handle a busy bar...BUT you have to have 20 paid employees in the backroom each hooked up and operating a robotic arm....BRILLIANT!...😳 NOT
The robot machine is too slow. See how long it took to pour that drink? A human cud have poured about 10 drinks by the time the robot poured 1. It's too slow and not efficient
..or 1 employee (minimum wage). After waiting half an hour: "We are sorry... ALL our operators are very busy at the moment.. your DRINK is very important to us.. please try again later...!" Bouncer robot emerges from a side door.
So it's basically over engineering a human. Why not just have the human do it in the first place instead of spending all the money on the robot lol (And I mean in regards to this video only)
This guy has no clue!! No way is this going to happen in aged care. It's hard enough to get a packet of chips to be loaded into a cardboard box with current technology. Needs 100s of millions of dollars and lots of years
They're already being used in Japan. One of the reasons why they are so popular is that robots will not abuse those under their care. There is a lot of mistreatment of the elderly in facilities and while robots would not do away with it entirely, they would minimize it. That is one of the reasons why they are being used in Japan.
There are already remotely controlled robots being used in many industries I.e mines and bomb removal / diffusion, handling hazardous materials or substances etc etc.. Nothing new here

Japan had a hotel, that I know of, that used two robots at the reception desk; one of them was a dinosaur. They were discontinued, though.
