- In this video, I am discussing the various pipes and fittings that I know on the farm. These include PVC, Galvanized Iron, PPR, and HDPE types. I explain in detail how to use HDPE compression fittings too. Finally, I will demonstrate to you how I make tank connections. A simple skill that I think every Kenyan Crop Farmer should have an idea of or seek to understand.

Best video on drip irrigation. I have a few questions,
1. How big of a tank is needed for a particular size of land
2. How high from the ground should one place the tank
Consider that one intends to do four rows per bed for onions
The size of the tank depends on the estimated crop water needs & resources available. I am using a 4000-liter tank for my vegetable garden (20x40M). The tank is elevated at 2M.. The higher the better. It is easier to visit the nearest county agri office for advice. Depending on factors like the climate of the area,, soil type, and land area.... they can estimate a reliable volume for your project.
@@thekenyanfarmer Thanks
I have watched a couple of your videos on irrigation and find them very useful, particularly your sense of the need to teach viewers. You must have been a teacher in your other life. I wish you could express your measurements in metric units-millimeters, centimeters and meters rather than feet and inches.
Thank you. I will stick to the metric system.
Hey do you have contacts for drip irrigation work
