After many hours. I finally yesterday figured out that i can take off the speed limiter. Driving 139 km/h with a fully loaded truck is what i needed in my life
139 KPH. Slow coach. 165KPH is more like it. 😁I did get to 180KPH on a downhill but the slightest touch of the brakes unbalanced the rig…wipeout. The game doesn’t seem to like speeds much above 140? It’s like the physics engine wasn’t really built for it and can’t cope, the truck gets too squirrely
Parking the trailer straight is also the only way you should do it. In this game there are no benefit of doing it correctly, but in real life its a must.

i think if someone is driving 90 on a autobahn it’s completely fine and “pro style”. every single trucker drives 90. limit is 80, but police around the world is mostly good to truckers allowing them to drive 90. love the fact that you implemented the 8x4 with a normal courtainside. literally one in three TMP drivers drive this kind of set
It doesn't really bother police anyways, because they can only fine you in Germany if you go +8 km/h. Then with 3 km/h tolerance it's really unnecessary to waist the time of the truck driver and the police.

I learned how to back up a trailer entirely from American Truck Simulator. I started trucking in Real life and my instructor was *very* pleased considering it was my first time backing a real trailer. The skill apparently transfers.
I've got a real truck drivers license since a few days and i really changed my way if driving in ETS2, because i used it a lot for virtual driving training. Some people might say that this may be just a game and has not much to do with the reality but it some points its really helpful. I did a lot of parallel parking, backing up, taking sharp turns and yes... indeed... Real driving lessons were not that different at all...
same here, playing a lot actually helps a little in some ways at the beginning irl, i mean at least u know the overall concept behind it and some basics
im curently on a driving school for "C" and i can confirm, the game did allow me to transfer my skills from it to real life, especialy abot sharp turns, blind spots and patience overall! after 1 year i will go to do C+E and for sure i will keep training on ETS2! Im playing realisticaly as possible, plus im using T300 RS with TH8A gearbox and alway when i use manual with H pattern and Clutch i also use the gearbox pattern type of the truck im driving plus slow-fast and half gears! its so satisfying!
@@damyanexssessgeorgiev6 good luck with your drivers liscense! It helped me so much. Even my actual driving school truck (Mercedes Actros MP3) is included in the game.
I don't have a T L but everything i learn on the game i tanslate to my life when i'm on my bycicle or on foot. I try to look to every side of the street, try to give way or don't go with the traffic flow if it's seems dangerous. I wish more people could play it and understand those basic rules.
Dude, I've never drive a car before. And after all these years of playing ETS I've learned how to use mirrors perfectly. And I used this skill... in real life... perfectly 😅
I expected this to be an actual useful video with tips and examples like "the noob gets all the most expensive stuff on the truck" vs "the pro weighs all factors when customizing a truck and picks according to their needs", which I'm sure took long for many of us to get familiarized to. Instead this is more of a "players who don't care and don't take the game seriously" vs "legit roleplayers". I'm surprised that one of the video points isn't "the noob drives with kb/mouse" vs "the pro drives with a €1000 specialized gaming driving set with a custom truck shifter".
Yeah I agree, I play this game for fun on keyboard and mouse and do some of the 'noob' stuff in this video. Driving fast, risking my chances on orange lights, dangerous overtakes. But I play offline and this doesn't effect anybody else. I can reverse park first time every time, I can make a corner without flipping the truck I do drive an 8x4 because I think it looks cool with my lights and expensive livery, I'm enjoying the game so why should people call me a noob.
lol true. So basically I'm the biggest noob because I turned off the fines , speed limiter and sometimes I turn off the sleep simulation or w/e it's called so I don't have to stop to take a rest. And I'm having fun tbh , I can go as fast as the truck goes, I don't crash, I slow down when I have to, I can park everytime almost perfectly, I use kb/mouse, and I just want to explore the game, have fun and lvl up faster to get more drivers, trucks, trailers, garages, but I don't want it to take 2 years...
I play with a keyboard and a mouse and on low-medium graphics. I enjoy the driving element of this game. Putting more than 5 mods will get me !ag spikes every 5 seconds, and so i do rush my driving. Heck, I'll even get the cheapest Iveco for my driver just cause.
After +300 hours I have learned lots from my mistakes and definitely take the game calmly and relaxed, very much enjoyable this way and your skill improves a lot
@SimUlated the game autosaves itself every 5 minutes irl so just load autosave you won't be that far away from the current location ( probably just 50km ) while tow to service takes time to be towed and time to get back on the route ( even takes more time if ur on highway ) yes good players shouldnt crash but you cant avoid crashing anytime
@@namthanh9485 Plus you save money, if I'm doing a 50k delivery and something happens and I crash and have 30% damage for example maybe it was just a little mistake then it would basically cost me half of my delivery just to get my truck back in shape and get back with the delivery
How I drive in ETS2 really depends on how I wanna drive that time. Sometimes I wanna take it slow and relaxing, sometimes I like it fast. Still, violating red lights is a no-no, and I ain't noob enough to approach a tight turn too fast.
Exactly I think this video should be different because I’m sure even pros do speeding or go through signs I feel this video should be titled noob vs rp drivers because I would consider myself at least just below pro but i usually don’t care about lights or signs depending on the intersection when I’m alone but do follow traffic laws when other players are around since I could be speeding past a rp player
This video is great as a new player. I picked up ETS2 this week and have about 30 hours, I always intended to keep it realistic and serious, and this has added a few extra things to my list I need to pay attention to. Edit: It's a month later and I caught truck fever. I've got over 100 hours in ATS and nearly 95 hours in ETS2. Recently filled out my map expansions and have toyed around quite a lot with mods to cater to my preferred experience. This video was definitely a huge building block into how I truck now in both games.
Haha I feel like I'm in the same boat now. Normally I don't play games like this but my brother kept talking about it and so I bought it on Friday. Over the weekend I got hooked so bad on it that I got all DLCs and the Pro Mod expansion and I'm absolutely loving it! I see you are playing ATS too. Do you think it would be worth getting this too for me? I'm originally from Germany and live in England but the idea of driving on American roads was always really cool to me. Also do you use a controller or M+k or a wheel?
@@mrpenguin2247 I use a wheel, and I totally suggest ATS. Longer roads and faster speed limits, although if you like the diverse landscape of the EU stay there for now till the map fills out since most of ATS is in the sandy west. As an American I like ATS quite a lot and play it more than ETS2, but I have to admit I prefer the handling and the landscape in ETS2.
Very Nice Video, should be a Lesson Guide for new TruckersMP Players! :) Here some few Opinions from an retired Truck Driver after 25 Years Experience. 0:16 - A real Truck Driver would turn around at the next possible spot and would enter the Company Gate from the opposite Lane/Dirction, to keep the stress off the Tyres and Chassis when the Truck is fully loaded. Or, when he knows the Location, he would generally come from the opposite Lane/Direction. ;) Gaming Pro Tip: Set a Pennant at your Windshield and turn Cabin Accessiorie Physics on. If the Pennant reach the Edge of its moving Space and get stuck, then you are driving too fast around the turning. It also helps to reduce the tyre deterioration in the Game. 8:27 - A real Truck Driver would let the Engine running for 2 - 3 minutes after he reached the parking position, to cooldown the Engine and to make sure that the Turbo Charger have enough time to slow/cool down and getting colder oil. 10:05 - A real Truck Driver would check the Mirrors First, before changing the Lane, turn on the Indicator, checking again the Mirror and watching the Traffic behavior behind him when he change the Lane! And a Bonus Rule for the Game and the real Life: Patience is the key, stay calm, behave nice and respectful and expecting Mistakes by Others.
ouh i met my truck driver friend yes i agree with everything but irl if you have manual transmission please let it on netrual when you park cuz my friend has it on 4th gear and he turned on truck and i started and hitted my truck ( my truck is MAN TGX 18.440 and his is MAN TGS 22.330 ) and useually trucks has 12/16 gears cuz when you find yourself in shit position the 1st gear will help you alot cuz the strength of ti is just amazing (i was stuck in the mud and i was nervous i shifted into first gear and turned on differential and the amazing 580 HP that truck got in a 2 seconds i got out if mud just amazing how trucks got that strenght
I just started in the industry and I have to say in regard to the mistakes by others it should be at least 3 cars to the front of you and about seven back and yeah triple and triple check your right side mirrors, particular if you drive a SEMI or a Combination
I may be a noob at driving, but having worked in warehousing for 10+ years IRL, I learnt that it’s best to go slow and steady when reversing into a bay, it’s always the slow drivers who get backed on quicker than those who rush. 😊
"Noobs don't care about signs"...more like they haven't got a clue what they even mean. Not everyone playing is an actual driver in real life so driving in tmp is very frustrating. You want to take your experience to the next level have some good mods, play by yourself and take everything seriously.
@@tamasfeher8998 tmp is fun with a couple of friends but you can't take it seriously. There's always that 1 guy who likes to mess around and one thing lead to another until you start ruin everyone's experience and you end up with bans. Even for people who drives IRL some of the traffic signs doesn’t exist in their country. One of the example I could think right of my head is the “you have the priority” sign (the diamond shaped sign with bright yellow shape on the middle), that sign doesn’t exist in Indonesia, however we do have yield sign (the inverted triangle) but it’s quite rare.
@@rommysoeli yeah that's the "give way" sign which sometimes it's also painted on the road in case the sign it's not there and even if it's not usually applies when you join main roads. @@sfhvirdbt2527 You say that just because you flip more often with 4x2s. 4x2s are used for normal cargo, the 8x4 are strictly for heavy cargo, like contruction equipment, 6x2 or 6x4 are for a bit of both. I like the 4x2 because these are the most punishing for going too fast, also these have huge fuel tanks.
The whole retarder thing is just optional and for the sake of realism. I play with a gamepad so i dont have enough buttons to use the retarder. It would be best to just say that "pros" use engine brake. Once question tho, i always saw the tag lift axles but i dont understand how they work nor the keybind for it, mind enlighten me?

Noob is like Jeremy Clarkson. In those days, I believe speed and power will solve it all! But after playing for a long time, he finds it useless. If you drive proficiently in ETS2, you're probably good at math. Handling a trailer is a sophisticated task, like moving a snake in a tight space, and requires computational power. 1. Check left and right when entering an intersection or road. 2. Obey the speed limit (some roads have sharp turns and you must drive 10-20 km/h slower than the speed limit). 3. Turn slowly on curves. 4. Always remember that a trailer over 10 meters long is being pulled behind you. 5. It rotates wide in narrow places. 6. Drive with a calm mind and concentration. Following these guidelines will reduce accidents and significantly improve your driving habits. Thanks to this game, many players get their truck license or work as a driver in real life!
Fun fact: during steam sales, Euro Truck Simulator 2 is listed under "Racing" games. I find this especially interesting because I have 400 hours on this game and I play it as a racing game. The goal is to get the highest high speed and drive the longest distance without crashing, all the while quicksaving constantly. This is a much more fun way to play the game, I find - and makes it much more interesting. This is the reason I have bought all map expansion DLC-s and many others and why I've driven endless hours in a digital truck. I own all garages across all DLC-s and I really believe for most people this is the more fun experience and I recommend breaking the fucking rules. Good luck. Wow!!! Thank you!!! You made me feel really good now!! I never realized that I am a ETS 2 pro-player, I always thought I was over careful about drive in the safest way possible, this include never overtake in turns, always drive 5 km/h below the speed limit, always going to the bottom right line, I even turn to the low beams when meet other cars in two-way lanes roads. You just forget to mention the horrific way the noobs change lines without turn on the blink light (is another thing I'm obsessed, never change lines or take to other road without sign properly) Good video... What road laws are they reading? It's always the overtaking truck that is at fault for an unsafe overtake and it's their job to make sure that THEIR overtake is safe. @@haruna4193 some recorders does have a Time-Shift option (like Action!), that you can set and quickly save the record by pressing one button. (I need to start using that, lol) It's true that some TMP players are driving like jerks - honking at you (because you're driving at the speed limits with much more realistic settings), driving all over the road, overtaking without even looking, speeding (that's really common), no blinkers, blasting their 20 long-beam lamps all the time (same with beacons), driving on the wrong side of the road, even they sometimes play like it's a GTA... Just simply too many arcade kids (as I used to say). I am not a saint, but man - after all it's a simulator, so at least I try to drive as safe and reasonable as I can, following the rules. Speeding 10kph over (instead 20-30) on a highway, when I have a clear shot is no biggie, but I give some space and reduce my speed when someone is overtaking me. Sometimes I smash 110kph too, but usually when I'm tired (sleepy) and I want to end the job ASAP (I quite often take a 2500+km jobs), but it's only a speeding when I can (on a highway), not all the time like many people do. When the weather kicks in (especially now during the holiday season it can be really bad), I slow to 5-15 below the limit (driving with heavy rain, fog at night, with that "snowy" space-jump or hyper speed acceleration effect that makes almost no visibility at all).

One such thing that I keep having with some players that can be considered noobs, is that they never turn off their high beams while passing on the other side or overtaking you. It's quite annoying to say the least.
That first company space is a nightmare. Half the time you drop your load and get back to the game, a car spawned under you and it sends you flying in the air...
That whole noob reversing sequence hurt my soul. Perfectly illustrated. Also, what's the deal with some people choosing to play a simulator, a SIMULATOR, and treat it like a demolition derby GTA lookalike?
When you buy a game you can do what ever you want with it and play the way it's fun for you. That being said your are absolutely a noob if you destroy someone's fun. Keep you speeding and going through red lights to single player.

you make a lot of valid points in this video. But one thing you have to understand when players are new to ETS2 and are not living in Europe, its very difficult to understand or know the difference of traffic signs because they're specific to Europe. It takes some time to learn but everyone starts somewhere
0:45 PRO players do not use a third-person camera. 1:35 a situation not very similar to that of a NOOB player 2:00 The PRO player would slow down much earlier knowing that there will be a strong bow and in front of him is a passenger car 6:39 note that the PRO player had more space to do parking (isn't it ironic that a noob player had a heavier parking lot?) ;o Yes I know, I cling to the details but if you create a RUclips video on such a topic, it is not better to keep at least a little professionalism? May you do better next time. Good luck

i dont see anything bad in going fast on a highway, its fun and u dont drive for hours, wich allows u to progress faster, same with overtaking i was expecting to see kind of skill here, like how good can u park with a single trailer, double trailer and more, not just a style of playing
I'm still not very good at parking, especially with the longer trailers that have trailer wheels that also "steer" the trailer because that seems to throw off my turning all the time. As far as the rest of it I'm a mix between noob and pro. I really enjoyed the trucks rolling over on turns with the noob. 😂
I'm just about a pro in all aspects of the game except having the speed limiter on. I normally do about 10km/h over the limit which is legal in my country at which point I turn the cruise control on and take my foot off the accelerator

I learned how to back up a trailer entirely from American Truck Simulator. I started trucking in Real life and my instructor was *very* pleased considering it was my first time backing a real trailer. The skill apparently transfers.
That is awesome! Thanks for sharing with us.
I can reverse park first time every time, I can make a corner without flipping the truck
I do drive an 8x4 because I think it looks cool with my lights and expensive livery, I'm enjoying the game so why should people call me a noob.

This is why my HQ is based in germany. (No speed limits WOOOO)
Very Nice Video, should be a Lesson Guide for new TruckersMP Players! :)
Here some few Opinions from an retired Truck Driver after 25 Years Experience.
0:16 - A real Truck Driver would turn around at the next possible spot and would enter the Company Gate from the opposite Lane/Dirction, to keep the stress off the Tyres and Chassis when the Truck is fully loaded. Or, when he knows the Location, he would generally come from the opposite Lane/Direction. ;)
Gaming Pro Tip: Set a Pennant at your Windshield and turn Cabin Accessiorie Physics on.
And a Bonus Rule for the Game and the real Life: Patience is the key, stay calm, behave nice and respectful and expecting Mistakes by Others.
ouh i met my truck driver friend yes i agree with everything but irl if you have manual transmission please let it on netrual when you park cuz my friend has it on 4th gear and he turned on truck and i started and hitted my truck ( my truck is MAN TGX 18.440 and his is MAN TGS 22.330 ) and useually trucks has 12/16 gears cuz when you find yourself in shit position the 1st gear will help you alot cuz the strength of ti is just amazing (i was stuck in the mud and i was nervous i shifted into first gear and turned on

and i forgot one more thing when outside is cold let truck heat up for around 1-2 mins cuz it can stop in middle of traffic :)
damn im pretty good at driving a truck irl:)
I just started in the industry and I have to say in regard to the mistakes by others it should be at least 3 cars to the front of you and about seven back
and yeah triple and triple check your right side mirrors, particular if you drive a SEMI or a Combination

You just forget to mention the horrific way the noobs change lines without turn on the blink light (is another thing I'm obsessed, never change lines or take to other road without sign properly)

Is it really supposed to be like that (5 km/h below sl)?
@@scandited2763 I don't know how it is in other countries, but in central Europe, there's even a 3kmh tolerance, so if the limit is 50 and you are going 53, you don't get fined. But there are many other laws that most people don't mention, like when somebody is overtaking you, you should always turn off your high beams during their overtake, so that you don't blind them.

@@haruna4193 Had someone on TMP try to overtake me and when they failed to do so blamed me for not slowing down from the speed limit to allow them to pass they even said "The truck that is being passed is the one that has to allow the overtaking truck to safely get by" Like WTF? What road laws are they reading? It's always the overtaking truck that is at fault for an unsafe overtake and it's their job to make sure that THEIR overtake is safe.
TMP is also just full of people that don't want to drive properly and rush from point A to B.
@@Cool-Cat1 this is why you should have something like medal to clip what happen, just set in the setting to clip as long as you need, i.e 30 seconds or 1 minute or use something like OBS to record the entire journey. just a tip
@@haruna4193 some recorders does have a Time-Shift option (like Action!), that you can set and quickly save the record by pressing one button. (I need to start using that, lol)
It's true that some TMP players are driving like jerks - honking at you (because you're driving at the speed limits with much more realistic settings), driving all over the road, overtaking without even looking, speeding (that's really common), no blinkers, blasting their 20 long-beam lamps all the time (same with beacons), driving on the wrong side of the road, even they sometimes play like it's a GTA...

By the way I'm around 9+star driver... Its been like 3-4 yrs playing this game, today I've 25 trucks and lots of garages lol. I feel rich but I can see how far I've come through. I always take a job with most value per km, so I can earn more in less time.
Why do i have a feeling that 90% streamers are noobs?
I for all week: *driving ZIL with water*
I at home: alright, it's time to relax... in ETS 2
i dont see anything bad in going fast on a highway, its fun and u dont drive for hours, wich allows u to progress faster, same with overtaking
i was expecting to see kind of skill here, like how good can u park with a single trailer, double trailer and more, not just a style of playing
This was just for the meme. Dont take it srsly xD
@@MilanTrucker yeah I understand that, but it's still triggering me
3:36 noob being a pro moment
thank you for explaining from now i will do hard as as can to be a pro driver
I'm still not very good at parking, especially with the longer trailers that have trailer wheels that also "steer" the trailer because that seems to throw off my turning all the time. As far as the rest of it I'm a mix between noob and pro. I really enjoyed the trucks rolling over on turns with the noob. 😂
I'm just about a pro in all aspects of the game except having the speed limiter on. I normally do about 10km/h over the limit which is legal in my country at which point I turn the cruise control on and take my foot off the accelerator
I go 15 km/h above speed limit and lower each 5 when police or speed Camera fine me
noob : real "simulator"
pro : real "life"
9:28 the "pro" forgot to turn his lights on :)
I have 1500 hours on steam of playing ETS 2 but I like driving fast and overtake but not dangerous...
Noob players for the future can learn from this video and I have been playing this game since it first came out so I'm a pro at it and yes I do noob things every now and then when I'm not paying attention or if I'm starting to get a bit heavy eyed
A separate respect for the right lane. This is so vital, I always doing like this
thats great lil buddy :)
I always rush 130+ kmh in the left lane, cuz i wanna expand my company
Played around 5000 hours online at the moment and the noob is basically showing one of the reason most of the pros get on the promods servers.
The ‘Trameri Turn’ is sort of a career defining manoeuvre
Actually true! 🤣
If you are pro man you are not driving 80 kmh...
I think it is more pro to shoot every turning in 149km/h than 80. That needs r e a l s k i ll.....
@@bewaffneterfrosch176 Mate i never said turning with 149 but who turns with 80 honestly
@@Nikos.Kardabikis Yeah i agreed with you. Sorry i said it wrong :D
That noob is an expensive employee that’s for sure
1:53 hahaha to relatable😂
Everytime I tried to be pro when entering a company, those NPC is just like smashing my trailer 😂
🤣🤣 Use hazard lights. It will keep them a distance xD
Noob: uses most powerful truck aviable, with 8x4 chassis option and 4000 cosmetics.
Pro: uses more common and true to life trucks
Facts!
Noob : Ram to spin police car to avoid speeding fine.
Pro : Drive behind the police car for a 300 km distance from Berlin to Frankfurt
Noob = rusher l Pro = safe
Expert: Drives like a speed demon without ever crashing and doesn't get fined(he knows where the checkpoints and cops are) also he backwards parks doubles just for fun.
I will never stop speeding and overtaking everyone all the time because it so freaking amusing, and because I can't do it IRL 😂
summary:
Noob: doesn't know how to drive anything
Pro: knows driving.
Honestly when I’m rushing and want to get a super quick load that’s like 1hr away or I’m impatient I turn into a noob, but when it’s a long haul I take my time
I got ETS2 to help me refresh my understanding of traffic and road signs. I'm a combination of nood and pro on a case to case basis. I love truck customization and the beautiful eauropean scenery. I try precise parking if I only have 1 trailer. Basic parking for 2 trailers only.
irl truckers in europe overtake alot, if they cant they wont, but if they can, they will overtake + they go over the speed limit sometimes like 10km/h where they know that there is no radar or police
Pro : Trailer physically sensitive - Ultra Sensitive
