Hello! I just found your more current videos yesterday (9/27/23). My mother just died 9/21/23 and I have been watching decorating/home makeover videos to distract/comfort me from the overwhelming grief. But as I switched your videos “oldest” to newest, I found this video and was pleasantly surprised. You see, my dad was in the Marine Corps! Your video made me so happy to watch and imagine the love she had for him and the way she supported him as a Marine Corps wife. She shared many stories about their many moves and the experiences they had throughout their lives…both from the military orders and even after he retired. She loved the adventures of it and shared how she decorated the homes they rented off base using a lot of the secrets that designers use today. Thank you for creating and sharing so many videos about the same things she would share with us kids. I wish for you and your husband to make many happy memories as your family grows (my parents ended up with 5 of us kids). And I hope that you live a long and happy life like she did and share some of the these early memories with your own children. Semper Fi! Semper Gumby!

I'm a MUA and HIGHLY recommend the Mario Badescu Drying Lotion! You can get it at Ulta and it is very reasonably priced. Their entire acne line is great! Tip on the drying lotion: it is 2 solutions that are separated in the bottle while at rest. Leave them separate; do not shake! Dip a Q-tip in straight to the bottom and dot over any blemishes or zits! If not gone overnight, within a day or 2!

Hi Allison! this is an old video but I hope you still see my comment. I’m in love with a marine who just got his first orders to be in DC for the next two years. I’m 22, I think you said in another video that’s how old you when you got married. My boyfriend and I have very heavily been talking about the likelihood that we get married and I move over there to be with him. I wanted to ask you, how did you cope with moving so far from home? Did you get backlash from your family/friends? If you have a video on this and I didn’t see it, please let me know!! I desperately want to be with him but I need all the comfort I can get. Thank you!!
Hey there! I only married my husband because we wanted to get married. Regardless of what his career looked like, what my life looked like, or anything else we knew that we wanted to be married. He just happened to be in the military. His career didn't determine our marriage status. The move was hard, leaving my family was hard, leaving my job was hard, but it was all worth it in the end because we knew we wanted to be married. We believe marriage is a life-long commitment to one another and to God and deciding if we were going to spend forever together was the biggest thing we've ever done. It's more than wanting to just be with your partner, it's agreeing that your relationship and marriage is more important than everything else in your life. I think it's important to decide if you would be marrying your boyfriend right now if he wasn't in the military and make your decision off of that.
