Warzone 3 lagg and stutters fixed! (AMD PC)

- This finally fixed the non stop laggs and stutters in Warzone 3 for me.
I do not know if this is a fix for Nvidia GPU's, but for my AMD system
it was like a miracle! I hope this helps you out aswell!

Why tf do we as players have to jump in config files and what not just to address this issue. youd think a billion dollar company would just release a patch.

Because that's a safe spot for graphics card. They don't want to be blame for over heating and damaging your cards like a past update last 1 or 2 yrs. Better you do it yourself at your own risk.

To my knowledge the config file for mw3/warzone 3 is called options.4.cod23. The one you showed is for the old mw2/warzone 2.
Yes, I had the old files. Just reinstalled the game and all file names was updaten😅

If this doesn’t do the trick, disable all features in the AMD GPU software. That solved everything for me. Seems like the features Are fighting the same features in the game settings

I have 8 and working too 200000?
When I have 140 FPS on my 144hz monitor with G-Sync, everything runs smoothly. But when I drop to 130-120 and stay there for a short time, I immediately notice a difference in the FPS. It immediately no longer feels too smooth and fluid. It is simply extremely visible that I have less FPS, even though I still have 120.
I've already tested everything possible over two years, 3 PCs, swapped every device, ...
Is this normal? Has anyone else noticed that the FPS feels completely different, even if it is only slightly lower?
I feel like it's laggy no matter what now. This fix worked wonders for me untill the next update. Now I'm looking for sulotions again.....

yeah, so this is the opposite of what you should do guys. I was having a stutter once every 5 seconds exactly, and it's the only game i stuttered in. i lowered vram target from the default 80 down to 70, and didn't stutter one time for 3 hours straight. raising it to 90 did absolutely nothing
I have similar issues with a full AMD system. Just switched from Nvidia, its true that amd cards do better in cod games, but still it feels laggy. I have micro lags fps is locked to 75 to match my monitor but still dips to 15 or 50 constantly. It feels like somehow that I have an inputlag or something similar and the screen is shaking when I aim fast. might will go back soon to Nvidia...

@@Fishingandbrew Funny thing is that I still have screen tear with Freesync ON. During the holidays I used RivaTuner, it helped a bit or felt more smooter. At least I maxed out the battlepass and now I dont feel the pressure to play WZ. Anyway, what really bothers me that the CPU usage is approx 60%, GPU usage is 70%, so its not fully utilized and I still have those lags. my old 1650 super felt more responsive even with lower frame gpu frame time (it was around 10-13 now I have 6ms)
@@Fishingandbrew looks like I fixed my game for Now, I reseted the BIOS, that somehow triggered the shader refresh ingame. After I did it Iam lagg free again, might you should try it too, at least reseting the shaders ingame

@@hydradome fixed my issue today. Turn of everything in the Game menu in AMD software. They Are all fighting the in game settings that does the same thing. It’s smoother then ever now and gaming is fun again😂🙌

It’s the same thing. Mine was the old one cause, my file changed to what you have when I reinstalled the game.

I have a 3060ti with a ryzen 7 78003xd and get stutters. I even appied the lowest setting and still drop fps from 150 to 40
I don’t know anymore. For every update I had to find New soloutions to fix their game and I gave up. Taking a brake from this game for a while, sorry. Just sick of customers have to find ways to Play their game
Hey mate I have a 7800xt and an i7 13700f but I can’t seem to get more then 135fps. I’ve tried lowest settings and there’s no fps cap just doesn’t seem to run well. If anyone could help me would be greatly appreciated
Undervolting the gpu worked wonders for me for more fps. Also, try turning off all of AMD’s features in the software. They Are fighting the games options that’s suppost to do the same

@@lrft yea I noticed it was my cpu. I had the standard intel cooler and it was horrible, my cup temp was almost always at 95-100 when playing games. As soon as I bought a new cooler and installed it games ran way better
what if there is no file named options.3.cod23 in my cod files ( only have options.4.cod23.cst
That’s the correct one. I just had not reinstalled in a looong time so I had old files. I have the same as you now after reinstall
mine was named options.4 same thing
It doesn’t let me open my file keep opening in media player which is not helpful

@GeorgieArellano do you have Resize bar on? It's called sam smart access memory on AMD. It's basically broken on cod turn it off if it's on.

Yes. This only worked for me untill the next update. Now I had to go into AMd Adrenaline and deactivate all features. Seems like AMD’s software features Are fighting the same features in the game settings

Game definitely crashes after changing these settings.
Higher your vram cause very 1% low and major fps drops 😅 50 is better

Don’t know. I never tried on anything other then AMD
Deactivate smart access memory (amd) or resizable bar (intel), the game will be run better and smooth

@@zakariyakhan-op7rf Make you sure to uninstall the drivers you have on your graphics card in safe mode with DDU (display driver uninstaller, watch a tutorial video.), and install it again without internet, no wifi, no ethernet cable. Restart the shaders in warzone, and don't put this 2.000000 value 1:55, try with 1.450000 or try to go up and down this value until you don't have microsttuters, i hope it works for you. Sorry my bad english.

Warzone a bit more playable now but still stutters every 5 seconds, even freezes for a second too. Never gonna be able to play warzone on my PC

Trying this today. Sick and tired of dropping down to 35FPS daily with CONSTANT stuttering even on low settings. CPU: Ryzen 7 2700X GPU: Radeon 6700XT. Any other tips if this doesn’t work? Anyone??
Disable Smart Acces Memory, and your stutter will go away

I have a good solution! Pay for a 10k pc so they get the money and pay for all skins they put in the shop. That will illuminate all your stutters

I have a 7900xtx and ryzen 7 5800x3d 32gb 3600mhz ram, I have massive stutters.. And all my family members don't see the problem.. I do.. I am high sensitive to these things.. And if I pay 3000 euros I want to play smoothly and better than a 700 euro ps5.. That has less fps and even better experience

render count = One less than the overall logical core
if you have 8 core go with 7 render count
That compleetly differs from my research. However this only worked for me untill the next Windows 11 update. Now my issues is all AMD gpu settings reset every boot and sometimes mid game🤦♂️
It goes off of Thread count, like it actually says it does, not cores. Google you cpu to find out your thread count, its usually going to be 16, so minus 1 would be 15....

If you have AMD GPU, turn off every feature in the GPU Software. I tried that after the next update witch brought all the lags back and it fixed everything! Seens like the features Are fighting the same features in the game-settings.
