This is the second one of these pardon cases I’ve seen. Why is it they’re allowed to apply for a full pardon only after six years? So you commit a crime, be good for six years and you can have your record erased? Connecticut is a really shitty state for victims.
Our criminal "justice" system isn't really set up for the benefit of the victims of crime. It's set up to perpetuate itself and assume ever greater authority and ever lessening accountability. In other words, it's a lawyer's concoction established for the benefit of lawyers.
The only thing this man has learned is to hide his actions better. He hasn’t changed, he blamed him little girl for hitting him first. Thats just a small peak underneath that mask he’s been wearing. Outragous that the Board did not have complete record to review ! That needs to be looked into! Makes me wonder how many other cases the board did not have complete record and where victim did not give statement to inform the Board of what they should already know, and the defendant is pardoned. There needs to be some system put in place to assure that the Board has all the information they need to make a fully informed decision about these very serious crimes.
Anyone so egomaniacal that they believe "you're my wife & I can do anything I want to you" has an inherent flaw in their character that they treat someone like 'their property.' This harkens back to centuries old concept that allowed Slavery to propagate worldwide & those current cultures which still abide w/ that philosophy. It is further disturbing that DAs would allow such a vile & heinous crime as this to be minimized as some petty offense w/ a slap on the wrist. We most certainly need to strike a balance between the Rights of the Victim & the Rights of the Offender, but far too many Legislatures, Judges & DAs are betraying the Victims entirely & have swung the wrong way off the path of Justice, especially when it comes to those who prey on Women & Children.
I know Catholics that obey their husbands. Presbyterian too. If there is a problem between them they whip out the Bible and pray about it and convince the wife where she went wrong. If that doesn't work they go for counseling with the priest.
The whole world 🌎 knows now and his job. Victims show up at these hearings and tell your side of what was done to you. We are proud of the victims showing up at these hearings. You are courageous. That's my opinion.

He's been in 6 years and we are to believe he won't finish the job when he gets out? No! That man is hiding his anger right now!
His crooked eyebrows give it away 🤨
He never got jail time
He’s not in jail. He even said he had to pick up his twin daughters later that day.
@@kellycelestin1 OH shit!
Parole and pardon just got mixed up ;)
This dude will repeat the DV and I am 98% sure it will be worse!!! This is so sad the courts minimizing these violent crimes!!
Rape is a misdemeanor. Wtf.
I’m shocked it was even prosecuted in Connecticut. The state is criminal friendly.
Yes ask charlamagne tha god , He as a similar story with his victim
Look at this guy, what an arrogant prick with anger issues. Sounds like a anti social
And you wonder why people don't report. It just allows for retaliation. This is how people get killed.
You must be a guy. I remember when hardly any cop would even arrest a guy. It was "you must have been asking for it" or "what were you wearing" - all said with a sneering leer. Its gotten much better in a legal way especially but there's still a long way to go
Far out, he’s an actor. He shouldn’t be out of jail, let alone pardoned.
Omgggggg, the account from the victim is gruesome. This man is a MONSTER!
For her to still come and make a witness statement after the length of the time since the horrible incident. She is a strong woman for standing up and speaking out against him.
Great job of sinking any possibility of a pardon coming through. She nuked him.
The victim who made her statement may have saved someone's life. Another woman seeing his record without a pardon could make her think twice about a relationship
My Mother told me to never marry a man unless you have seen him get mad and/or loose his temper at you or someone else and see how he handles that anger!
Wonderful advice
Agreed, Vice versa !!
Best advice I’ve ever heard.
How about just never marry a man.
Smart mom
Nina Vazquez, you are a hero! Thank you for speaking up for yourself and others. It is sad that women and children aren't protected by our justice system. Thank God that judges did the right thing.
Cheryl Vonn is the ex wife .. Isn't Vasquez just reading the victims impact statement for her ....
He wants the pardon to erase his criminal record so that he can go to his kids' school .. With his criminal record, he is not allowed at the school..
Nina Vazquez defended this POS. At least get the three people in the hearing straight.
“christian background” to justify physical violence of a family member?
he should still be in jail.
Thank goodness for the victim standing up for the other victims. Thanks 👋👋💜💜🤗🤗
The ex-wife’s statement was DEEP! Bless her🙏🏼
The first lady interviewing him told us how this was going to go with every 'hum' and 'huh' to his responses😂
Hmm interesting 🤔. Uh huh.
DENIED!
YES. She sees him for what he is. "Hmmmmm."
I was thinking the same thang! So was he
If he had assaulted any person other than his wife he would be in prison for attempted murder. But, it was just his wife…
Wtheck "if it's your wife, abuse away." That's crat cray. 😢
it's insane isn't it
The fact that his ex-wife got a lifetime protection order… no. No sir! To go on 8 years later and physically assault a little girl. Misogynistic abuser. 💯
Im 10mins in and this guy comes across as a cocky, aggressive narcissistic POS! Not sure much has changed with him except he's maybe not been caught?
Damn right
Yup
Yea he’s an asshole and it’s abundantly clear very early on
Same, same. The way he had to read his empty opening statement… Zero sincerity!
He's a violent, azzhat, unfortunately the "diagnosis" of narcissism isn't that common but people throw it around like they actually know what they're talking about. It's sad.
My ex "attended" 4 hr onlinr anger management, 4 hr online parenting class, and a totally made up alcohol assessment by some counselor. Only to check off boxes and continue doing what he was doing....
That poor lady, still having to go through this stuff. Thank heavens they denied them
He'll never stop hurting the vulnerable!
Exactly, he's a bully.
A dangerous one.
That woman's testimony was so brave.
I love the way surreptitiously threw in that he's a Christian (what a surprise) and that the "incident" was "all those years ago"...
Can't roll my eyes hard enough.
A real POS. The First Lady is either blind or afraid. Sad.
vulnerable females/women...that little man felt disrespected and too revenge!
He didn’t get the programs until the daughter incident… the anger management should have been ordered for the 2010 incident. Connecticut system is soft.
Damn right. Connecticut has been closing prisons left and right. They refuse to prosecute even major felonies even with victim cooperation. The state is a joke.
Liberals
Truth…blue state encouraging criminals & ignoring victims most of the time! 2nd offense they KNOW about…
@@lindaquinlan1471 don't upset mandoo by talking ill of liberals.

"You being on trial".
Why entertain a pardon when there's a lifetime restraining order on record? The witness statement was insane to listen to. How is he free now?
Because of the hate for women
That letter almost had the last board member crying. It was very powerful.
Best of luck getting a federal job with your history and background.
That's why he wanted a full pardon. Had it been granted, it would effectually erase his crime as if it never happened.
He should try the Police Academy 🤣😂
Courts need to take into consideration that victims (and often their families too) have been given life sentences for the trauma they have been put through by these criminal acts. Victims are people with emotions, not just statistics on a sheet of paper.
So well said.
That impact statement had true IMPACT. She is so BRAVE.
His Christian upbringing believing in discipline translates to striking his child?! WTF
😂😂😂😂😂😂
And he is licensed in Connecticut as a licensed security officer and is looking to obtain Federal employment. Sounds like a solid candidate. 😂😂😂😂
He should run for office next, he’d fit right in. Have you seen the list of convicted criminals we have now or had. Insanity
Sadly, you're are correct.🤨
yep, he’s a top candidate
Yep. He wants to be a cop. I bet one of his “friends” in the force went through this process and advised him to do so. Well it bit him on the arse!
@@yodaamigreat, a man with anger issues and beats women and children wants to be a cop. Guy beats up people weaker than him wants to be a cop and carry a gun to complete his power trip.
WOW!! The victims statement was extremely powerful. She spoke the complete truth. She spoke for every victim including myself!! The court system ALWAYS LOWERS CHARGES LEAVING THE VICTIMS IN MORE FEAR AND MORE TRAUMA TO HAVE TO DEAL WITH!!! I'm sobbing. It's about time someone listens to the victim. Thank you MANDOO for sharing this one. From the precious victims statement and the fact the BOARD DENIED HIS PARDON has brought a sense of healing to myself and sure many others. What she said happened to her was almost exactly what happened to me. Big HUGS to the victims in this case and all victims who have been swept under the rug. We are all survivor's. Never give up and I pray for continuous healing for every victim child and adult.
This is the second one of these pardon cases I’ve seen. Why is it they’re allowed to apply for a full pardon only after six years? So you commit a crime, be good for six years and you can have your record erased? Connecticut is a really shitty state for victims.
yes that’s why you can’t assume you are safe anymore… it co-insides
Connecticut is criminal friendly. They’ve been closing prisons for years now and regularly refuse to prosecute felonies even with victims cooperation.
Our criminal "justice" system isn't really set up for the benefit of the victims of crime. It's set up to perpetuate itself and assume ever greater authority and ever lessening accountability. In other words, it's a lawyer's concoction established for the benefit of lawyers.
I have no idea. I didn't even know that was a thing. Seems unfair
Whomever gave him a plea deal, should be fired.
Yeah she totally threw a wrench in his little shindig here 😂😂😂
Hold on to that nigga 😅😂🫢🤭🤣
The only thing this man has learned is to hide his actions better. He hasn’t changed, he blamed him little girl for hitting him first. Thats just a small peak underneath that mask he’s been wearing. I’m so glad she spoke up, my heart goes out to her. I hope one day she can wake up and feel peace and safe
This guy is too controlled and polished its scary.
I think it’s just his big head thats polished 🔮👨🏾🦲
@@xxmvvi well that too 😆
The S.A.s were horrible enough and hitting on his child to the point where he got charges, but, he applied for a pardon before or after he was just arrested in a sting with an illegal ghost 🔫...narcissist energy
not to mention wants to work for the federal govt cuz its a passion of his - why isnt he wanting to take up boxing since he seems to like hitting people so much
Who hits a FIVE YEAR OLD? 😡
Jerks like this.
A five year old little girl, at that ! POS
Exactly. They should not even have the hearing scheduled until all records are reviewed by them.
Scary.
The govt is an unorganized mess. This doesn’t surprise me.
Amen! Very well stated!
Agree 💯👍👍👍👍
Happens after eEVERY marriage, true dark, controlling, overpowering self revealed -called shadow
Inherent flaw is absolutely correct.
Holy s*** that is horrific. That was more than assault and battery and to have it dropped to a misdemeanor is disgusting. It never ceases to amaze me how lenient our “justice system” can be in cases like this but not long ago possession of MJ was hard lined.
Thank you for bringing attention to how he minimized and chose to carefully omit what really happened to his ex wife and is he did that then how bad was the “slap” to his 5 year old.
The ex-wife testimony… 😮 😮 😮 how was he a candidate for PARDON? And how does the board fail to review the full scope of his convictions before the hearing? Insane!
I feel sorry for his daughters. It seems like he's a rigid man that has impossible standards. He hit the child because she hit him. He seems to think his reaction is justified by religion. He's confused abuse as being discipline. And, my heart goes out to his first wife. So, incredibly brave as shared her trauma and advocated for other victims. Finally, want acknowledge the board member who checked him on when he engaged in services and the fact that he has not continued treatment. Good on her.
which makes christianity as a whole look even worse than it already does. not to excuse ANYTHING this pos did but i can attest to being raised in a christian household and getting beating with belts and switches - which is why i stopped going to church decades ago (im now 58) and probably somewhere in my psyche is the reason why i never had kids - wouldnt want to subject them to any results of having grown up with that whether subconsciously or not. i will say otherwise i feel like im a pretty balanced person otherwise given that ive held down a job in the same field the last 35 years and have owned my own business in that field the last 5 of those - going on 6 so positives can come out of pasts like that
I want to know what made his daughter want to hit him? What did she see or what did he say to her? She must have felt violated in some way.
Good on that woman for braving testifying and saving those kids.Shes a hero. Narcissists are very
Clever in fooling the courts. He shouldn't even be considered for a pardon, he's a repeat offender. You know he's seething hearing her, she may be risking her life.Restraining orders are worthless and in fact, anger abusers.
Yes. A lot of times the courts let them get away with the worst, especially in family court. My daughter was SA'ed by her bio father and never even arrested. And he's a documented narcissist.
Reading his statements means he isn't speaking from his heart.
So does the same logic go for the ex wifeas well?
The gaul of him to even sit there asking for a pardon with a cell phone written speech. It's obviously without feelings. I bet he wishes he could've been next to her to scare and manipulate her during this hearing. He shouldn't even be out much less be worthy
Of a pardon So Deny. If not for this for hitting a 4yr old. He said my daughter hit me and I hit her back😮
@@robertjohnston9023That’s not the “gotcha” you think it is. In a lot of cases most victims of violent assault have an advocate to read their statement. It is also done in court for assault and murder cases. There are people hired to do that. The perpetrators are the ones who shouldn’t be reading from a piece of paper or phone about their so called “remorse.” When people like you try to counter with a weak argument it only sets off a lightbulb concerning your character, thinking skills and possibly your own personal actions. It’s quite troubling to say the least.

The state of Connecticut allows people with criminal records to be licensed as a security guard??
This woman had me in tears out of nowhere. Hearing how this monster & his new baby momma wanted to try to get him off of his charges after 6 years. What a fool! In the 8 years the only classes he took were the two court appointed classes. Thankfully that lady showed up & told the truth about this monster.
He learned nothing at those classes except how to lie with better words.
I love this judge. “You’ve never talked to your daughter about this??? Hm. And you think that’s okay???” 🤣👏
Thank goodness they denied his request!!!!
Loving the X wife’s statement. Profound

He going to do something serious to that brave woman that spoke up
He is and always will be an abuser
6 years from last offense…I would bet that’s not true! This guy just hasn’t been caught and he probably has dead victims.
That's pure evil right there! He doesn't deserve a pardon! Wonder why the twins Mom is no longer with him? I liked being able to see the board members.
The way she was rubbing her hands and reading off a script... I think he broke up with her and he is so controlling she felt like she had to, to 1) maybe get him back or 2) keep the peace as she did say they CoParent.

Mans tried to portray himself as a victim of life circumstances and he is a whole parent at that...... This what the passages mean when they say "demons walk among us everyday" young ladies please be careful, do not ignore alarming signs of character. If you see a man who cleans up well still invest in knowing how they function under stress and communicate during problematic moments. A snake cane hide but it cant change its nature, so tough times are my favorite in relationships due to it truly showing what's truly in a person's heart, if one is present. People like this prey upon optimistic and kind hearted women with low self esteem. Once you become truly self aware you will sense people like this a mile away because as you see he wont be changing his ways no time soon from the body language he displayed after and during her testimony. Sisters be safe out there please

He did it because he’s a Christian, he claims
People are given lesser charges in exchange for a guilty plea when the state cannot prove its case. Domestic incidents are hard to prove. Thank goodness the victim was made aware of this attempt.
dv cases are hard because victims pull back, take back etc ive been that victim many of us have and unfortunately because we do or have it makes it harder for not only the ones that do but for the ones that dont.

Something insincere about reading his “apology”
Classes do not guarantee change. It’s usually just who a person is. I just get a sense from his demeanor that he is a ticking time bomb. People like this who WANT to change require a lifetime of therapy.
He’s holding a lot of anger in and trying hard to control himself when the woman parole members kept asking questions that he didn’t want to discuss.
I feel so bad for the ex wife and salute her bravery. Bless her.
WOW that was definitely a serious Crime against his Ex wife, Also Discipline back then ,doesn't mean you can do it today, Especially to a 4yr child 😢

‘She knows just like in school she’s not allowed to put her hands on anybody, so to teach her that, I hit her’ what a loser.
how the heck do these states put in place such options for violent criminals!!?
These things are put in place for people that may be innocent but charged, people with cases with mitigating circumstances, people that have non violent crimes and some people that may have done an act as a child. But violent sex attacks should never be granted without the full crime being known.
You’ve never been to Connecticut obviously. They coddle criminals in Connecticut.
Why is he even out of jail?
How do people vote for this? Tragic
He claims to take "full responsibility" and in the next breath denies his culpability and goes from there. He's clearly not a changed man

I was concerned when he said he slapped his FOUR YEAR OLD CHILD after she hit him. Then the victim services lady read the statement from his ex-wife about what he did to her. Yeah, no, denied. You haven't dealt with your problems. He's just stifling them, trying to pretend they didn't happen.
did he really say "I learned its okay to EXPLODE in other ways, such as FOUL LANGUAGE" and "I learned it's SOMETIMES not okay to spank your child" ??
