Hi, I saw one of your older videos. Saw that you pay $35 / week for insurance. How can Geico insuarance can be only 35 bucks per week? I thought insurance is the big killer in this business. I just bought a new 3500 ram dually tradesman. Currently paying personal auto insurance to progressive at $150 / month. When I inquired to another insurance company for a commercial auto insurance with my VIN, they gave a $16K / year quote, with first payment being $6K. Roughly $1300 payments / month
The Geico insurance is what I paid for personal coverage which is about $140 a month. The company I was leased on to covered the liability and cargo insurance. Now that I have my own authority I pay about $1300 a month for the commercial insurance policy through progressive.
2 questions. 1st How hard is this to learn where your comfortable at being your own authority. 2nd why is it so many people running Ram. It seems like I see more rams than anything.
Its not hard just takes time, patience, and time again to do the research. Better to lease on to a company and gain experience, knowledge, etc then go for own authority. I believe we see more rams out there bc of cost, reliability, and towing capabilities. And of course looks lol.
You see more Rams because the Cummins is reliable (it's an in-line six cylinder), like semi engines. Fords, GMC, Chevy have V8 diesels, which are basically glorified toy haulers. If a V8 diesel made sense for serious hauling, you'd see that configuration in semi trucks, but you won't see that. 👍👍
It paid a little over $1.00 a mile doesnt seem to awfully bad! whoever your talking to needs to learn math a little better lol. factoring on 400 is what $12 and maybe $50 in full but probably not. Thats $400- $12 -$50 is $338 profit that may have covered your full for the week or something!
I KNOW THAT YOU ARE BOOKING YOUR OWN LOADS AND ALL, BUT IF I MAY CHECK OUT RTS FACTORING AND FUEL CARD. I CHECK IT OUT AND HAVE SET UP A MEETING WITH THEM TO GET MORE INFOMATION ON IT. A PLUS IS IT WILL HELP KEEP YOU MONEY FLOW GOING. THANKS FOR THE VIDEOS AND GOD BLESS
