100 disagree. Travis is a definite upgrade in terms of career, wealth, fame and ambition. Her last guy was a school boy recluse who caged her and the other dude was an edge lord with bad breathe. Travis is a catch by a country mile and a man.
@@LB-xz9ubthis is exactly what Taylor WANTS people to think, that Joe caged her. Meanwhile, she had four incredibly successful albums when she was with him, did regular interviews, won the Woman of the Year award, went on tour… Joe didn’t cage her one bit. He *gasp* wanted their relationship to be for the two of them only, rather than for public discussion and scrutiny. Taylor herself agreed with this sentiment, as she stated in Miss Americana.
@@samanthau1380You must be confused. Taylor wasn't happy with the school kid. Those albums were riddled with anxiety and uncertainty. Even the supposed fictionalized ones folklore and evermore. Girlie was going through it with that kid. Completely swamped by his emotional constipation as he held onto tighter and tighter whilst at the same time cosplaying indie actor. The boy was so boring, uninteresting qnd emotionally stagnant that Taylor literally had to run to edge lord for some excitement and change of pace. Taylor literally had to dim her shine with this loser no name actor that a lot of her friends felt sorry for her. In contrast now that shes with Travis Kelce, she's embarked on the highest and most successful tour of all time beating madonna at her own game. I won't even mention MJ cuz he was never a touring giant like that and she left him in the dust centuries ago. She's also having fun with Travis, laughing and enjoying her success with him as he loves her loud and proud all over London. Shallon please do a video on what to do when you close friend/bestie is in a cringe/not-good-enough/harmful relationship and not only isn’t willing to face the truth yet but starts to shift the blame on YOU! (Eg you’re not trying hard enough, I expect you to be friendly with him, he says he tries with you but you’re not fair with him). It’s heartbreaking to see a sister down bad, but when is enough enough when it comes to the impact of your friends mediocre or bad relationships on you as a friend? 💔
I would jovially, pleasurably, with pizzazz, eat shards of glass with a dessert of metal shavings before I would even **entertain** the thought of dating a Gen Z lad.. all the props to Shallon for that kind of valiant feat! 🥴
HAAHAHAHAHAAHHAHAAH 🤣🤣 sadly I have had plenty of cringe boyfriends who were absolutely age-appropriate. Only they’re almost worse because they have no intention of changing where as younger guys want to please so sometimes they really will level up
I was in a relationship for 7 years with a guy who would unintentionally embarrass me socially all the time. It was so draining and trying to explain to him what indiscretion was and making others feel unconfortable was no use or he'd tell his family something private about me and thought it was normal. He had no filter whatsoever and just didnt see it and never understood. For that and other reasons we broke up and now Im only just dating guys I feel safe with in all aspects also financially, emotionally, etc. Anything less isn't worth my time. Just not my vibe! So listen to Shallon. She's right every time! 😊
The part about dating a guy that your friends also like hits hard 😭 I am so guilty of this. I loveee knowing I have the guy everyone wants but it all boils down to ego too! I sometimes end up liking the attention more than him. Its a need for validation and approval but if the relationship is only between him and me, why would I need their approval? If I already think he's hot, isn't that enough? Why do I need them to think so too? Hes not their bf. Just like their husband is not my husband so I don't need to find their partner attractive either. Its their relationship, not mine. Do I not think my approval of him is not enough? Do I think I'm not enough? Do I not trust myself? This goes so deep! Perhaps worth a video delving into these topics. it could also come down to boundaries and respecting your own boundaries and the boundaries of others.
Shallon, I’m the opposite of an alpha b*tch. I’m always giving people the ‘benefit of the doubt’, giving the ugly guy a chance etc, turning the other cheek once he embarrasses me and f*cks me over, blah blah blah. But when I hear you on this video I realise that THIS was my inner monologue the whole time! Maybe my ego is bigger than I realise and my inner self is an alpha b*tch that I need to let out more often. Thank you. Sincerely. ❤
I used to be this way and lemme tell you, there is ZERO prize for kindness in this world. None. People see you as compliant and that is no compliment. Serve yourself first and give people VERY little leeway unless they have repeatedly earned your trust. Fuck anyone who tells you to bow and bend for THEIR convenience. They are not your friend.
I think acting appropriate in social situations is an adult skill that everyone has to learn. I have a stutter, so I was born with an innate disadvantage in this area. There are also people with autism that struggle with social situations that have learned to master them. If people that have disabilities that impact their social acumen can handle themselves perfectly well at parties, weddings, conferences etc, there really is no excuse. Am i saying that you need to be the life of the party have the graces of a new york upper east side hostess? No. But socialising appropriately should be treated as a basic life skill, like cooking or paying your taxes. You HAVE to have some level of competency to survive as a functional adult.
I feel like I probably covered this at some point? Look on my videos about Rihanna and how to embrace your true self because that touches on it a lot but it’s definitely a good topic for me to revisit thank you!
Yes, I had a friend who seems super intelligent professional normal around me and then when I bring her around my other friends would show up in full on rave gear and tutus and buy ecstasy from random strangers in the bathroom. It was just so unbelievably embarrassing beyond cringe.
Quietly living this way for 18.5 years At year 9 of marriage husband had brain trauma from massive heart surgery, and at year 22 of marriage he had a big seizure Trying to be a faithful wife “in sickness” I don’t get embarrassed but just let him be strange and do appropriate damage control after he’s left the situation The silver lining for me is that now no one can embarrass me-and when no one can embarrass me, I rather unintentionally rule the room and intimidate people
Espresso is my musical fentanyl. Obsessed w/ it. I've totally been in a cringe relationship. I dated an anti social alcoholic Star Wars/Star Trek/comic book nerd.. My friends were all like "girl, um.. no, just no" shaking their heads in disbelief w/ the look of all respect for me. First time meeting them he "showed off" that he could fluently speak Klingon from Star Trek. Eeks 😱 & would also go into rants about his conspiracy theories like going to the moon was actually filmed on a sound stage. I stayed w/ him for as long as I did tbt because he was amazing in the sack. A girl has needs, what can I say 😊 finally my self respect won out though
Honestly, i thought you were going to say bragged that he spoke spanish or some widely known language which would be cringe enough but KLINGON took me out
Sabrina reminds me of (looks like) Andrea Evens from 90's One Life to Live. Let's hope a "soap opera" kind of life isn't her thing. She's too talented to throw it away.

For ANYONE! I'm so over that. If you want me to see you as a good person OH I DONT KNOW JUST BE ONE? No one really makes excuses for me so I'm no longer inclined to do it in reverse.
An ego bruise. I think that’s why I’m still hurt from a boy I had to break up with four years ago. I don’t miss him I don’t want him back, I know he was horrible for me and such an asshole… but even now four years later I still feel so hurt. I’ve gotten over the heartbreak but not the ego bruise. Now… how do I get over that? I’m done feeling gross when I hear his name.

My sister is a nurse and married this guy who body shames her and her daughters and gives unsolicited health advice. He has to be the loudest guy in the room. It’s very cringe to witness.
This is not really fair, my bf is not very good at social interactions, it doesn't mean he doesn't know how to behave. My best friend always said the phrase " I'm happy if you're happy" but the truth is that I am, I always feel loved and cared about. Cringe or not the most important thing is for you to feel happy in the relationship.
I have a few things i'm embarrassed about my bf. But this video makes me realize i'm kind of embarrasing too for him 😂 I'm awkward around his friends because we just do not have many things in common. But at least i came off more stand off-ish and not a social recluse... In the end i told him i don't want to hang with his friends anymore 😂😂
My bf told me he was afraid of getting a shower when it rained and was afraid of dogs, driving, got lost everywhere he went because he forgot where he parked the car, etc…. At first I thought I could handle it….. I couldn’t it was so exhausting to act like my bf’s mother while being his gf…. Day by day he lost the attractiveness he once had…. The cringe just keeps growing until it’s to late.
7:00 this is why I believe that theory that says that women mature faster mentally than men because even though we’re about the same age I still wanted to off myself every time they dress weird when we go out 😂☠️
My ex was like this, most of the time I was around friends I wanted him to stfu and knew it was over when I was attending a funeral and I was relieved he made an excuse not to come.
You want someone who is a great conversationalist and then date awkward 22yo boys? Make it make sense. Either you enjoy self-sabotage or want someone to feel superior to.
One of my closest friends is married to an anti social cringe lord and it's just so uncomfortable to navigate lol. She also tends to bring him along because she doesn't want him to be lonely, and everyone just kinda low key tolerates him. At first I tried to be gracious, let him be himself and laugh off the weird stuff, thinking everyone has their quirks it's no big deal. But as time goes on I found my patience wearing thin especially as I have more on my plate and don't see why i should spend precious time with my friend tolerating her plus one. Still haven't figured out what the right answer is lol. Great video covering this little discussed topic - you are both hilarious and insightful :))
My litmus test is the kick under the table when saying something embarrassing-- if they look at you and loudly say "Why are you kicking me?" -- they're dumped. If they discreetly stop whatever they are doing, they're a keeper. Also facial expressions are everything -- I dated a man with a resting serial killer face who i had to train to smile just so he didn't put everyone on edge.. Eventually he had to relax his facial muscles, so it wasn't going to work.

One night at a smallish gathering at a nice restaurant for an occasion, we’re all enjoying ourselves had a few drinks all is fine, next thing this chic is proving her flexibility at the table and she raises her foot behind her head 🤦🏻♀️ you would think no one needs to be told “don’t lift your leg up behind your head at a table” alas no some people do not know this. I wanted to die.
"You can't bring her to a pub" wow. As an american we generally feel like you can bring a goat into a pub and it'll be totally acceptable. I have a friend like this too and she's just such a headache.
@@shallonlester you know I think when others see this they kind of bunch you in same category, nobody needs “friends” making bad impressions on you. Mrs make a scene 🤦🏻♀️
Shallon!!! Would you ever consider posting the audio for these videos as podcast episodes on Girl On Top?? I try to do social media purges but I miss you too much on RUclips 😭
29:30 until the end of the video right there, RIGHT THERE. That was an angel message that I am not ignoring. Thanks, sis!
“Don’t lick your knife.” My god 😂
They do though. Always licking the wrong things.
We all had a collective flashback 😂
My ex-husband licking his plate in a restaurant was the last straw for me.
BAAHAHAHAHAHAH
Or your goddamn fingers!!!
Girll we talk about hurt lockers all the time, I think this ties into the concept.
Video idea - How to get over him (the idea of him) and be able to focus your energy on getting all the things he represents.
I love this song too!! I love the subtle country influences in it and her humor in her songs are actually pretty good
I dated a guy who mooned at a party where the mood was definitely not wild and crazy. It didn’t enliven the party.
We need a video on social training and how to be likable
My weird, cringe, undeveloped, unmannered, irresponsible, and immature ex-husband turned out to be gay 10 years in. On a plus note, I am completely unembarassable now, and I am completely repulsed by cringe-lords and happier to have none of that nonsense in my life
Most of them are.. probably he couldn't deal with the opposite sex on an emotional level
He better deal with other men though and that's the best kind of revenge ❤
HE should be embarrassed. I feel no ~pride~ for men who lie to themselves and everyone around them, ruin lives and gaslight for decades before they decide to be honest.
Have you watched the show "Grace And Frankie" on Netflix?
"You're in this for your ego." This is exactly what I needed to hear.
Taylor any time she's with that NFL dude 🤣
When he says “the right to party” thing I want to die for her
FOR REAL. 😂
Meanwhile, she had four incredibly successful albums when she was with him, did regular interviews, won the Woman of the Year award, went on tour…
Joe didn’t cage her one bit.
Soon she'll be engaged to him and marriage and things can only go up from here.
Hey Shallon, please do a video for the 20th anniversary of Desperate Housewives! There is so much potential for topics from the series..
Some Ideas: Lynette and trying to do it all, also her relationship with Tom (who some love and some hate). Bree van de kamp and the pressure to be perfect, also maybe how people think she is fragile because she is so feminine, but she is actually a total badass. Gabrielle and how to be a diva abandon the fear of what people think and get what you want. Edie Brit (before the show ruined her character) and how to make friends in a hostile environment. Susan and growing up or not giving up your hopefullness
I was just talking with my family about how stupid I feel about dating a liar and everyone knew it except for me until he lied to someone thinking I wasn’t listening. Now I’m convinced everything was a lie and I’m embarrassed af lol
This was me and my ex FOR SURE. It was so tempting to wallow in the humiliation of everyone knowing before me and feeling like such a cuck. But these people take enough from us. I refuse to let my ex take any more time dignity empathy hopefulness - nothing. OK, so he conned me. He got me good. I learned and I’m moving on - and up!! 🚀❤️🩹
@@shallonlesterooooh THOSE sting the WORST! Especially when you don’t realize they’re a liar until they’ve studied your every move & life history to contort themselves into exactly the type of man who you’d consider a soulmate, only to land you… make you feel so alive with the highest of highs & biggest of dreams. Only to drop you from the highest cliff once you realize they never even had a personality. Only intentions.
These back to back videos are so good
New Shallon video drops make my day!
I If people love "Espresso" and "Please", they probaby would lose their had with "Sue me", "Nonsense" or "emails i can't send".
Yep! Sue men was my favorite of hers until nonsense came out.
"I didn't like him, so I was mean." You don't say, Shallon!! 😆💀
Jessica Biel is going through this now but she would never leave him
Omg she must be down bad
Your videos are always such gems!!! Look forward to them so much ❤ thanks for all you do!
Songs of summer atm: Saturn by Sza, Birds of a feather by Billie Eilish, After Hours by Kehlani, and Wake Up by Skylar Blatt and (sorry) Chris Brown.
shallon i need you to make a video about how to "break up" with a friend. you know when you recognize that person isn't for you anymore but you just don't know how to end it?
Shallon please do a video on what to do when you close friend/bestie is in a cringe/not-good-enough/harmful relationship and not only isn’t willing to face the truth yet but starts to shift the blame on YOU! (Eg you’re not trying hard enough, I expect you to be friendly with him, he says he tries with you but you’re not fair with him). It’s heartbreaking to see a sister down bad, but when is enough enough when it comes to the impact of your friends mediocre or bad relationships on you as a friend? 💔
Do a slow fade on the friendship and get really busy making new friends and having a blast elsewhere.
@@shimmeringchimps3842 very affirming, thank you! Working on that rn!! 🙏🏽
Only they’re almost worse because they have no intention of changing where as younger guys want to please so sometimes they really will level up
@@shallonlester I hear that! Just yet another proverbial lose/lose feather that we women get to add to our jaunty cap. 🙄
Commanding socially fluid men are usually narcissists lol!
They are not your friend.
girl what the fucking doing Justin pic in back? Lmao
Omg I am the first 😂❤❤❤. Love you girl , you really healed me can you make a video about parents who don’t support your desires
I feel like I probably covered this at some point? Look on my videos about Rihanna and how to embrace your true self because that touches on it a lot but it’s definitely a good topic for me to revisit thank you!
Oh and videos about criticism!! This topic is DEF woven in!
Shallow please do more travel adventures next year so I can come after I’m done w my nursing program ❤
That's awesome! Lord knows we need more nurses. I'm a Critical Care RN. I finished nursing school just when the pandemic hit.
Your existence and mind is inspiring Shallon! love you & i’ll see you at one of your future trips 💕
Yes, I had a friend who seems super intelligent professional normal around me and then when I bring her around my other friends would show up in full on rave gear and tutus and buy ecstasy from random strangers in the bathroom. It was just so unbelievably embarrassing beyond cringe.
Quietly living this way for 18.5 years
At year 9 of marriage husband had brain trauma from massive heart surgery, and at year 22 of marriage he had a big seizure
Trying to be a faithful wife “in sickness”
I don’t get embarrassed but just let him be strange and do appropriate damage control after he’s left the situation
The silver lining for me is that now no one can embarrass me-and when no one can embarrass me, I rather unintentionally rule the room and intimidate people
Espresso is my musical fentanyl.
Klingon no, at least there was one good thing! 😂 that guy must have thought he won the lottery when he got you!
Honestly, i thought you were going to say bragged that he spoke spanish or some widely known language which would be cringe enough but KLINGON took me out
@@emilygooner9697 Aww... ❤️
@shallonlester Atleast he didn't try to talk dirty to me in bed in Klingon lol 😂
Ha ha ha, 🤣he really wanted to impress you😜
Shallon keeping our heads screwed on straight 🙏👏🏻👏🏻
Sabrina reminds me of (looks like) Andrea Evens from 90's One Life to Live. Let's hope a "soap opera" kind of life isn't her thing. She's too talented to throw it away.
You nail it every time Shallon👏Love the comment at 22:00 - "fuck your heart... if he had a good heart, they would have good behaviour" - can we please please please stop making excuses for these cringe ass men. Loves ❤
Got my copy of Thorns and Roses off Amazon today.
Love you Shallon
I'm so excited waiting for mine to arrive!
Welcome to hell, you will never escape and you will compare every man to the fae boys in this series i AM SO SORRY
(i may or may not have signed up for a NSFW acotar patreon please help me)
Off topic but as awesome as Shallon is, it made me happy to see she doesn’t have a million subscribers, I want to gatekeep all this incredible advice and wisdom 😅 my life has been on the up and up ever since I started watching her channel and learned that being dumb and naive was making me a loser, Idk I just don’t want to share the cheat codes of my new amazing life 😂😂😂
My sister is a nurse and married this guy who body shames her and her daughters and gives unsolicited health advice. He has to be the loudest guy in the room. It’s very cringe to witness.
Love this! ❤ I’ve been listening to Mabel let them know every summer nonstop and it’s such hit
Exactly. Just because a man is social doesn’t mean he will be a great boyfriend. Some of the biggest cheaters are men that love to socialize.
I have a few things i'm embarrassed about my bf. But this video makes me realize i'm kind of embarrasing too for him 😂
I'm awkward around his friends because we just do not have many things in common. But at least i came off more stand off-ish and not a social recluse... In the end i told him i don't want to hang with his friends anymore 😂😂
Shallon your arms look amazingggg and so toned!
if her fans were swiftie-style-delusional, they would call themselves the disciples ahahahahah
Never knew “don’t embarrass me” was what the voice on the back of my head was saying in every single date I had until she put it in words
Song of the summer for me: my kink is karma by Chappell Roan!!
My mom is my cringelord!!! I am always worried about what she is about to say next.
Sabrina's fans should be called "The Chippies" - Aussie slang for Carpenters 😂
IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS ONE
My bf told me he was afraid of getting a shower when it rained and was afraid of dogs, driving, got lost everywhere he went because he forgot where he parked the car, etc…. At first I thought I could handle it….. I couldn’t it was so exhausting to act like my bf’s mother while being his gf…. Day by day he lost the attractiveness he once had…. The cringe just keeps growing until it’s to late.
That's precisely why dating much younger doesn't work imo
so early! Love your videos Shallon ♥️
Summer song: I remembered this one from aaaages ago and it’s still chill dreamy and lovely :)
Aqueous Transmission - Incubus
You look so beautiful here. Light feminine style suits you 💘💘
7:00 this is why I believe that theory that says that women mature faster mentally than men because even though we’re about the same age I still wanted to off myself every time they dress weird when we go out 😂☠️
This was eye-opening for my own relationship. Except we're married, ugh...
Melania Trump is in this situation right now

I think shallow can find a man like her but like she says she dates a lot of younger men that are not on her level and don’t have the experience
I love ur makeup 💕💕 u should do a tutorial. It would be great and super useful.
I love your videos. You have truly changed my life!
“I wanna hold you up like Simba.” 😂 That is the dream.
I was waiting for you to do a video on this song!
I would've loved to have gone on the MT trip but will be in the Bahamas with my son. Sounds like a blast though!
