    See, the rice at the end was still swimming in water. Trying to cook so many things at once in one apparatus makes it just as complicated as using multiple pans and whatever else (the oven) that they are trying to avoid. All it would’ve taken to finish the rice is to take the other stuff out, leave the top off and let the water evaporate for a few minutes but they didn’t want to admit that you can’t cook it all at the same time and have it be finished at the same time.

      She used diet soda, so it likely didn't contain any sugar.
      She did use a bit much of the brown sugar, though.

      Um, they are called deserts because they have a sweet component. People should relax. I can think of many more things that are much more harmful than brown sugar like artificial colours, preservatives and all sorts of chemicals.

      I'm not sure where your from, but in the states 'coffee cake' refers to cakes that are simple, usually baked in one pan, usually are dense and crumbly and not meant to be frosted or layered. They are called coffee cake because they are served with coffee in the afternoon or after a meal.

      @@claytonpaisley9721 Ah, that makes sense. Thanks for the info I'm from the UK where we usually refer to cakes with what they're flavoured with so coffee, lemon, chocolate etc. The more you know 😊

    • @GhostPirate6
      @GhostPirate6 7 лет назад +10

      Not true. The USDA has now lowered the temperature guidlines for pork to 145F and a slight amount of pink is fine. This was also mentioned by Alton Brown on his Good Eats show.

    • @robertrobinson8370

      L4D2Ellis yeah but its still gross because that shit was a medium rare at most. the lowest it should be according to usda temp is medium.

    • @GhostPirate6
      @GhostPirate6 7 лет назад +4

      Using the terms "medium-rare" or "medium" doesn't work well because it is not a temperature measurement while 145F is. One person's medium rare can be entirely different from another person's medium rare. I've seen definitition of rare steak going from as low as 120F to as high as 165F. I've seen pork loins cooked to 145F and the meat is significantly more pink than what Cathy showed in this video.

      Taylor Noel technically and legally it is safe to serve pork medium as long as it isnt ground pork unless you ground the pork yourself but screw that it needs to be well done for me lol and what she showed was like medium rare bleck. . but enough of that. how about you show me your pink pork
