Finally get to do some things to the CNC. In this video I go over how I set up to flatten the spoilboard and then create a grid in it. I’m using the program Carveco Maker to create the G-code to operate the CNC. This is a learning process for me since this is my first CNC. So far I am enjoying it,

Thank you. When you've never used a CNC before there is a big learning curve. So far I am very pleased with the purchase of the Onefinity and choosing to use Carveco Maker. I don't know how different each software is, all I can say is get out to the shop and make some mistakes (I sure have) and have fun. Thanks for watching.
Very helpful. I created a square though instead of 4 different lines & putting in the measurements for them & I think everything went good.

When I try to create a tool path for the grid an alert comes up telling me "Vector intersections were found in the selection. Please identify and correct using the Vector Doctor" I don't know how to correct.

I have onefinity woodworker as well I purchased Vcarve desktop. It works well but can only use 24in work area.... I think I need to check out carveco...
Thanks for the comment. Every program will be a bit different, just find one that works for you. So far I am very pleased with Carveco Maker.
Thanks for the great video. I'm a newbie to CNC's and Carveco. I'm also having the same issue as others. When creating the toolpath for the grid, it keeps saying vector intersections were found. When using the vector doctor, it shows the red circle around every intersection, which is true. But since it's one continues toolpath, that should be fine I would think,. What am I doing wrong?

I found my issue. I when creating the toolpath for the grid, I was selecting a V-Bit toolpath vs a profile toolpath.
So I did everything you did in the video the only problem is when I go to create a tool path it says that I have Crossing vectors. What did kind of bit did you use? What tool path did you use?
For the grid I used a 60 degree V groove bit, and 2D profile toolpath. Hope that helps.

Was 5 months to get mine.
Good video but I am having a problem. I am getting an error message saying Vector intersections were found. Says I need to fix this with the Vector Doctor. I am also using the 60 degree V bit. I have followed the video 4 times now with the same error message. I don't understand why crossing over lines is a problem. I am new to CNC so my knowledge is small.

Great video, but after drawing the grid lines and trying to "calculate now" it keeps saying vector intersections were found and won't save it / calculate it. Any advice on how to get past this problem with vector intersections?
Hard to say without seeing what is going on.
@@AndersenWoodCrafts the X and Y grid is all one continuous polyline in your video, right? When I do the same thing step by step and try to calculate the tool path it brings up the window saying "intersecting vectors" and won't calculate. Have you had this happen before?

Whats the depth of cut on the grid?
I believe it was 1/16". I think the next time I may go a little shallower at around 1/24" or 1/32". Thanks for watching.

is there a reason you chose carve co over other options? This is the biggest thing for me. is this worth 15 a month over fusion360s free?
Hard to please everyone. But I do take into consideration of comments made. And thank you for the comment.
For me, in the short time I have been using it, it is worth the $15 monthly subscription fee. It is fairly easy to use and can create 3D relief carvings, which is one of the main reason I got the CNC in the first place. But yes, as you mentioned, there are other options available that are free. As this is my first CNC and am not a computer geek, I wanted something that was easy to learn. Enables you to align the work piece.
