Some information skipped here. 1. Clean the hub after removing the old disc to allow for a good mating surface with the new one, 2. ALWAYS change the brake pads when changing the brake rotors to avoid messing them up.
Can reuse old brake pads but will need to wear in first and may have not firm brake pedal until bed in. Can resurface old brake pads by sanding on coarse sand paper in a figure eight pattern on a perfectly flat surface like a piece of glass.
In this case, the caliper bracket goes with one part with the trunnion and it is not possible to remove it. More accurate information can be obtained in the technical documentation for the repair of your car directly or by contacting the service.
Dear autodoc. Do you have some clips to put in between the brake pads and the calliper carrier? I ordered a new set of Brembo brake pads / discs from you (front axle) and the pads do not fit 100%, they are a bit too big, therefore causing a rattle noise. Do you have some clips / anti rattle clips for the Golf MK5 / V?
Hi im thinking of upgrading my front disks to high performance discs,do you know if i need to change the rear to high performance too and can i just do a strait swap old ones off and new ones on?cheers
Thank you for your feedback! If the design of your car provides for the quality brakes set, you will be able to do it. If you want to rebuild it to another system, wwe recommend that you contact the Car Specialized Service.Best regards, Autodoc.
Really depends on car set-up and weight. But, generally very little benefit in upgrading the rear as it does very little of the braking. Even for track events, I run the standard rear set-up. Pending your car set-up, even maintaining a stock pad and rotor arrangement is best, rather than upgrading pads due to the lack of heat generated in the rear.

You are right, some points in the video were missed, but our channel is not educational, but only introductory. We strongly recommend that all replacements, especially those relating to the brake system, be carried out exclusively in a specialized service. AUTODOC
The only misleading part is easy take off by hand of the old disc. In 99% of the cases you have to hit it with hammer to release some of the grip that rust created.

@@herbnalis3723 taking in account the price of a new pair of brake pads why bother?
You don't need to remove the spline bolts on the calliper bracket?

Hello Autodoc. Is this applicable for VW Golf Plus 2007?
Not going to bother cleaning the hub and applying some copper grease before you put that new disc on mate?
You are absolutely right, some points were missed, but we will definitely add this in our new videos.
How do you change the carrier once the caliper is off?
Thank you for contacting us.
Unfortunately, we do not have this information.

Nice. But you could just as well have showed how to change the pads, as you normally change both.
