      Very good. I love hearing it. Loose up and turn the best you can. You don't have to be strong to be loose. So anyone should be able to hit the ball a lot longer than if they are solely hitting with the arms. A big part of it is trusting loose is going to work. I would do this one too:

    Saguto golf tips are all the rage now. But he is all over the map with his tips. One of his vids says swing back and thru w the shoulders another says move the lower body laterally on the downswing and then turn the hips .. on and on…
    Klassen says to heck w all the technical stuff and concentrate on ball spin and a golf swing will eventually show up.
    I’m not trying to curry favor by saying in earnest that you are the best teacher of the golf swing here on YT. Your earnest approach and the way you beseech us to abide by the tried and true principles that truly work and the simple effective drills that aid and abet those principles have made golf my passion.
    All I or anyone has to do to verify your teaching is to watch the members of any pro golf tour on tv or live and see that they do exactly what you are encouraging us to do. Thank you for being real and setting a solid template for us lost souls to do what’s right in the golf swing . No smoke and mirrors and no malarkey and no inconsistencies. Much appreciated. Best Joe

      Funny. Saguto teaches stack and tilt. If it helps people fine but I would never teach that.
      No golf swing is every just going to show up. This is due to human nature telling you to hit the stationary object sitting in front of you.
      Thank you for the kind words and support. I just see it differently. I am no in my 33rd year. From lesson 1, I have always thought it has to be fast and it has to be easy. So everything I say is based on that. I know what is out there and I know the results I get. I will keep doing what I do.

      @jherl8307 Funny, I was with Klassen and Tom Saguto at different times. I find myself listening more to what Paul is describing that what hi physically demonstrates because that registers with "me". Paul's Body Swing instruction book brings everything full circle, folks need to buy that package, it's worth every cent!

    • @paulwilsongolf
      @paulwilsongolf  Год назад +1

      Thanks for the support. I like both of those guys and do watch their tips. Lots of similarities in what Klassen teaches. Saguto is stack and tilt. Although there is some good stuff there too that differs a little more from my technique. Yes, my Body Swing book and video series explain it all. For me, it is about showing people how to do it in a way they can do it on their own. Isn't that the goal? So all of my products are laid out that way. Thanks for recommending it to others.

    I am an 82 year old golfer who has played golf for 65 years and play 3 x a week. I used to hit well over 200 yds but since age 70 lost all power and distance reduced to 150 yds and handicap is up to 23. Last Saturday I shot 91. I watched this video and on Sunday I shot my age for the first time and was driving the ball 180 to 200 yds. I have witnesses. I was hitting with my arms with a vice grib. Since your video I am hitting once again with a body swing and a loose hinging grip. This is for real. I am hitting like I did 30 years ago. A lesson which costs me nothing and now I am buying your course.

    Great comments and observations. AT 73, I am typical of the need for more distance and if zi am relaxed i do get the distance I used to get. It is just making sure that you are relaxed and not trying to kill the ball

    • @paulwilsongolf
      @paulwilsongolf  4 года назад

      Exactly. If you hit enough good ones with an effortless feeling why would you want to keep hitting. Just have to see enough good ones. Keep at it.

  • @johnbak9395

    Agree.Problem is the tempo(pace) and rhythm(sequence) of placing the club head at impact flush with the ball is difficult. It may happen 1 out of 10 swings. How do you create consistency?

    • @paulwilsongolf
      @paulwilsongolf  4 года назад +2

      Quit thinking like that for a start. To be consistent you need to base your swing on things in life that are consistent. Never ever ever thinking about hitting the ball. There is no way on earth you are going to be able to square the face within a few degrees. A tick on a clock is 6 degrees. You don't have 6 degrees. You maybe have 3. Hinge and rehinge the club. This means super looser wrists with a neutral grip though. Then you are basing your swing on the spring-like effect of coiling and uncoiling. You are not thinking of impact. You are thinking of going from point a backswing to point b follow through. The ball is hit becuase you are going from point a to b.

  • @francisdavy6485
    @francisdavy6485 4 года назад +1

    I still can't believe how you can swing at 116 mph looks no different than 93 mph . You have the most stress-free golf swing I have ever seen for that kind of speed-that includes the PGA's top players.! amazing!

    • @paulwilsongolf
      @paulwilsongolf  4 года назад

      I am really putting a lot of legs into the higher ones. Legs turn the body. body moves slow in life so you get the appearance I am putting nothing into it. I am really firing my legs and hips on those faster ones.

      You can do it! Just do practice swings nightly at home. This is the fastest way to get it. Too many people think they have to hit balls to learn this stuff. Just do this every night: ruclips.net/video/6ZeTqcz2pmE/видео.html

    Great video Paul. I’m 75, and I know my problem is that I’m trying to hit it as far as I did 20 years ago. Trouble is, I’m swinging harder instead of smarter. I need to swing looser and with less tension, as you say, but I also have to shorten my backswing. I can’t coil like I used to, and I have a tendency to let my arms keep going back well after my upper body has stopped coiling. With disconnected arms it’s impossible to square the club face at impact with any consistency. I hit a lot of blocks and push-fades, or snap hooks if I flip it through impact. I’m finding that if I stop my backswing when my upper body stops coiling, I can keep my wrists loose and make much more solid and consistent contact. Thanks again for the great tip; I’ve been using your swing mechanics for nearly 15 years and I’m not about to stop now... 👍

      Finally ... We were all waiting on you to catch up! Now you feel it keep doing it. You see it works. All I am trying to get people to do is try it and hit some good ones. Once you do, you should never want to go back to hitting hard with the arms. Hitting does not work and will never work into the future due to us getting weaker. Keep at it. You need to be doing daily practice swings at home. This is the fastest/best way to get it. Good job.

    Years ago I played with 3 brothers. The oldest, at 80, easily outdrove his younger brothers with drives over 200 yds. He explained that his doctor had told him to keep lifting weights. He didn't seem to be swinging harder, but the proof was evident. The weights kept up his strength and flexibility. Paul is right about loose wrists and quick body turn. You need to do some training outside golf if you want to have an edge. Paul, your video to improve driver swing is fundamental. Thanks.

  • @Machaggis67
    @Machaggis67 4 года назад

    four years ago. took up the game at the age of 65.
    Two years ago I took the Body Swing course and everything changed. The slice disappeared overnight. Loose wrists and a proper follow-through meant I was hitting the ball far further than before.
    Over the next few years Paul might be right in predicting a loss of ten yards or so. Who cares?
    Straight drives and a good short game will be enough for me.

    This tip is great, but what can I do to keep loose if I cant keep my left arm straight ?

    • @paulwilsongolf
      @paulwilsongolf  4 года назад +1

      Why are you keeping the left arm straight. You need to keep it extended but not locked. Keep it too straight and you will tighten your wrists. Take a ruler and measure the left arm of Nicklaus, Watson, Couples, Daly and many many more. You DO NOT have to keep this arm straight at the top. It needs to be straight when you hit the ball. • @paulwilsongolf
      @paulwilsongolf  6 месяцев назад

      I have taught countless people with fake hips. Never an issue. Shoulders too. It's more of a psychological thing when people first get them done. It's not necessary to drop the right foot back. This aims you right so you have to come over the top to hit the ball on target. You come over the top by using your arms. I want your arms turned off, super loose wrists and power the swing with the body. In no way does this every hurt your body and anyone can do it just need to learn how. These will get you started:

      I did try a demo set of cobra one length irons I hated them here's why as most sets are based on a 7 iron length the scoring clubs PW 9 8 7are to long in distance yes very long I'd say I hit the 9 8 and 7 15 yards longer and in comparison the distance between 6 5 and 4 wasn't that much difference between the 3 I normally hit my 4 hybrid around 200 but could not better 180 with the one length 4 and the flight was horrible I thought it was they didn't suit me but Reading tests by others it seems a common problem plus with the shorter clubs having longer shafts lost finesse on 80 - 120 yards pitches which are one of the most important parts of the game and has to grip way down the shafts to gain some sort of control I would say try a set before you buy I'll stick with my Hogan combo set semi blade PW 9 and 8 cavity 7 6 and 5 with 4 and 3 hybrids any day I'm 63 handicap 11
