    Great vid 👍🏻. They are a flipping nightmare to bleed up. I fitted a priming pump after watching one of your other vids, and the easiest way I've found is once you've got the air out of the filter is to have some one crank the engine while you're pumping the primer. Also the quick connectors on the fuel filter can let air in took me 3 hours and a lot of swearing to find that out. Replace them with flexible pipe and hose clips now. 🤣 🤣

      Hiya Clifford mate, they are indeed. The primer pump was already fitted to the car when i got it and to be honest im thinking of getting rid of it and getting a vaccum pump to pull the fuel threw the lines till there is no air in the system.

      @@ChazzCoombes No, I'd leave it there in case you need it if you brake down ever. Vacuum pump definitely best option though. I had a 2.0 TDCi before, so easy to bleed. 🤣 Love the channel mate, always check it before i start a job on the car and you've normally done it first. You saved me more than once 👍🏻😁.

      @@CliffordShute okie dokie, will do. Glad the channel has helped you with other stuff on your own car. I am glad i started doing this in stead of sharing photos of what ive been upto and done on the car like some do. I just hit the record button instead. I am doing a video soon about why i started this youtube channel and a garage tour type of thing, is that something you would watch?

      @@ChazzCoombes Definitely mate, a garage tour would be good, always amazes me how you do all that work in such a small space, unless your garage is like the Tardis 🤣🤣 look forward to the vid. 😀

    Hi Chaz I mentioned before, about the cover which bolts on over the filter assembly. Well I got one from Ford, with the Two bolts, about 12 Quid. These are quite often left off, a shame, as in the event of an collision, it stops the whole lot flying out and causing a fire. Great video.

      Yeah i remember, that part is missing and i will be looking at getting one as soon as i find one. Cheers Chris

      Do you have the Ford part number for the cover plate please...?

      @@baytraders yeah I think its EN: 4M5Q - 9A072 BB. You will need the two bolts from the Ford dealer too.

      @@chrisswann2868 Cheers Chris - thanks for taking the time to provide the info. I have been trying to find one since I got the car. Bet service garages are full of 'em and under engine trays..!!

    Absolute twat of a job if you have never done it before, had one of these that had a original ford filter in @ 100k! Garages obviously hate it too.
    Best way I found was fill the filter, put it all together then with a syringe and tube pull fuel through through that top bleed screw.

    • @ChazzCoombes
      @ChazzCoombes  2 года назад +1

      Just abit aint it, i dont know when the filter was changed last so just giving the motor a bit of tlc. Im gonna invest in a vaccum pump to draw the fuel threw. I might have away with that primer pump as well.
