Wired has storage, fenders, also 35+ mph, looks like a normal bike at a glance, and good components for $1,700 less. No contest. Still the next e-bike that I want to get.
I have this bike. You can buy fenders for the bike on the website which I did. As for range, it gets a lower range at full throttle like any other e-bike. The apparent range issue with this 25 amp hour 52 V battery is because of the kind of throttle it uses. It’s very difficult to maintain the throttle in some mid position and the tendency is to ride with the throttle, fully depressed like a switch. Pedal assist allows, finer regulation and steady control of the motor at lower speed. So in my experience to get the best range from this bike requires peddling. Two things that would improve this bike would be to replace the throttle lever with a half twist and to add cruise control which the bike does not have. This is something that may be addressed in a software update. Another issue is that there doesn’t seem to be any way to reset the Trip meter. I’ve gone through the bike display menu, registered and installed the Bikego software on my phone. There is a system password that allows adjustment a various features by technicians, but the company has not given it to me so far I’ve been building and riding e-bikes since 2009 so you can imagine my frustration. All in all the bike does what the company says it will do, but there are some quirks that need to be addressed . I will be adding a second 25 amp hour unit pack power battery, which is what this bike uses . I will also be replacing the throttle as I have several in the shop. I ordered a motorcycle seat pad because I like to have for long rides.
Very nice looking design, looks way better than most dual motor bikes. If I'm reading the numbers correctly, the rear motor is a Bafang G062 which is 1,000 watts nominal, 2,000 peak, and that controller is not enough. The problem with upgrading the controller is the battery not putting out enough amps to support it, and the frame design will make a second battery look awkward. Great bike for looks and sand, but too limited for the price in my opinion.
What is the number on the G062 motor? I bet is is 750D which is a 750w bafang not 1000 but curious to know if it is marked G062 750D or 1000D on the motor?
@@BCNYOUebike - Ahh yes, you're right; it is the 750D. It should peak about 1,600 watts, but you have to be carful not to sustain that too long or melt the weak glue Bafang uses for their magnets.
@@Altema22 Thanks for the confirmation, I had ordered two bikes from China and paid for 1000w bafangs and they promised they checked it and they were in fact that. When they arrived I knew right away they sent me 750w instead. Damn you got it! I was dying to see a review on this I was thinking of buying it!! Amazon has it for 3600 with a 300 buck coupon. I just went from a dual motor 1000w dd and 60v battery in front and a 500w geared with 52v battery with 2 30 amp controllers. Now just a rear 1000w bafang running the 60v battery and a 33amp controller and I get more speed than with the dual. Less weight. Dual I got 34 now 38mph. But I weight 230lbs. I have to get used to how it rides now. It's different. I could not get the front off the ground with the dd in front. Now I can get the front up easy. Practicing wheelies now.

@@TwntyUp currently leaning more towards the REVV1 even though it's about $300 more. Between the Great Customer service and support or just the confidence of knowing I can call them AND THEY'LL ACTUALLY PICK UP THE PHONE, is definitely a plus. Also the options available for upgrades etc. For me (in my situation) it's a no brainer. I'll be ordering mine in the next week or so. And they've even got free delivery on their site. The MEELOD charges for delivery on Amazon but it's free on their site as well. Additionally, theres no room to carry anything but yourself..and it's a very large bike. I'm only 5'7" 170lbs..its a bit much for me as I watched the videos. So again for me, it'll be the RIDE1UP REVV1. 👍🏼
Way overpriced and underpowered
$2500 for a Billy Goat V3 with 45+ MPH, 30+ mile range, a large community, great support, available with or without pedals
