Just purchased, and had this same machine installed yesterday. After ONE load, it’s already giving me fault codes, and won’t drain. Run as far away as you can from these machines. I should have know better. I’m convinced the positive reviews that Samsung appliances receive are all fictitious. Never again.
I just ordered this same washer / dryer. Did you read the instructions? Previous washers with same design require calibration test before first use so I don’t know if this one does too. Just wondering if the drum slight off center wobble is normal for these direct drive machines. We can’t wait to use ours!
It does require calibration before first use! The wobble I had in the beginning of the video is it getting the weight of the load right before fully starting 😁 this washer has been a godsend!
I have this exact same washer... I will say this right up front.. its a darn good machine!!! It's pros are plentiful... All good good good.. But the only cons I see.. It takes a long time to wash.. Some of the basic cycles can take over 2 hours to complete.. the machine spends a lot if time "thinking" It basically stops for long periods of time inbetween cycles and spends a lot of time spinning round and round and round .... stop... round and round and round..... stop very slowly.. over and over... But it really does clean the clothes well.. I love the washer... I don't mind the wait at all... The only other con is (and really this is more about common sense..) Do not overload the washer.. It doesn't have an agitator.. If you stuff the washer it won't be able to roll over the clothes and wash them properly.. as long as you don't overload the machine it does and will do an awesome job.. The washer is pretty quiet.. Not too loud.. It offers a ton of awesome features and has all the bells and whistles a modern washing machine should have.. As I mentioned, the machine "thinks".. It corrects itself if the load goes out of ballance.. The machine adjusts itself for the needs of the cleaning of the laundry, such as amount of water and wash time by sensing the weight of the clothes.. You can see this at the beginning of a load.. the tub will slowly spin and stop a few times as it's sensing the clothes. This is an incredible washer.. it really stands out in the crowd...
Hi question! I know their is a “deep fill” option for more water but some of my loads are small if not medium but never fills up with water to the top. I would hate for the washer to fill to the top for a small load only. Makes sense? Please share your thoughts lol I’m new to these high tech washers
We have same washer. We bought it more then a year ago from costco with extended warranty. Our internal tub bearigs and tub spindle broke/burnt little after 1st year of use. Cost of repairs were more then replacing with new washer. Costco extended warranty took care of it and replaced the whole unit with a new one for me. Hello, I am trying to figure it out mine... When I add the softener PRIOR the load... (I put it in the small compartment) All the liquids comes down straight to the dirty clothes... That can't be normal. Even if I press the fabric softener option it does that. What am I doing wrong? Please help. Thank!
Hi Amanda. Can you please tell me how this washer is performing for you. Does it give enough water for washing comforters and does it clean well? It is a Beautiful looking machine. Thanks.
No it does not. You will have to use deep fill feature which most of the time is a waste of water. The clothes comes out dingy. This machine belongs in a recycling junk yard. Don't waste your money. This new technology cost more for machine and you have to re wash clothes that still has grime, the cycles are long. Only good thing is they are attractive to look at, but functionally useless
I have the same washer why does it rinse and spin at the same time no wonder my clothes have stains on them I almost had it 1 year and just notice this
Hi Amanda, thank you for your review. I am buying this washer for my parents. Although I was very tempted on getting them their first front-loading washer as they've never had a front-loading washer before, I find everything about this machine to be up to par with every aspect I expect a washer to excel in. For the $599 price point, I can't find a better washer. I was this close to buying an LG front-loading washer from the 2019 Black Friday, but after reading about mold buildup along the groove and understanding that I can't have them open the door during an active wash cycle, for my parents, a top-loader would be great. Another reason I like this one is that it doesn't have an agitator situated in the center so you should be able to wash comforters and pillows with ease. But the most important aspect being that it's going to be easier for my parents to reach into the drum, rather than bending down all the time to reach inside. The second most important thing is to not have your washer door lock you out of adding more clothes into the washer during an active cycle. Not sure if I have to give them the "buy only HE detergent" talk but so far my research suggests to buy only HE. I was this close to buying the front-loading washer for them after the salesman serenaded me with all of the positives of a front-loading washer, I had to do my own research to dig the negatives.
Mold build up on any and all front loaders is not 100% of the time going to happen. As long as the door is left open once laundry is done, you dry the glass and rubber lining, and run a tub clean cycle once a month, with some more maintenance, the front loaders are great, efficient, and very fast. ALL front loaders lock the door when the play button is pressed. You have to press the play/pause button to pause the machine, so the door can unlock. I am sorry to say it, but HE top loaders, ALL OF THEM cannot clean pillows and comforters effectively. I have a front and a top loader. Front loader is Whirlpool, and top loader is SAMSUNG. The samsung CANNOT clean comforters or pillows at all. the just float, and there is no action, while the front loader does a far superior job in sanitizing and cleaning pillows and comforters. Not saying that all top loads are bad, but i would not recommend the samsungs. I am replacing the entire 2 1/2 year old samsung top load set with the LG front loading set.
I just purchased this washer since I wanted to match the dryer. Day 2 and I already washed all of our pillows and comforters and have no complaints. With my Kenmore it would've been an all day task possibly into the next day and I've knocked it all in 5 hours. I highly recommend as I have a teenager who has poor hygiene lol and 3 toddlers. Stains and mustiness came right out.
Hi Amanda. Question, the wash step is slowly? Mine moves to the right and to the left almost 360° but is not fast as other old washers. Can you please confirm? TY in advance :)
How fast does yours shimmy when on a regular wash cycle? We just installed ours today and it doesn’t seem like it moves the laundry around much. I think it’s because it wasn’t level but wanted to ask how yours was when washing

I have the same washer and whenever it goes into a rinse/spin cycle there is always some clicking noise. I just bought it. Do you have any idea what that may be?
Do not buy! Junk had two different washer and dryers delivered. They don't fill with enough water and go off balance very easily. Plus they had a recall on some. The sensors sense water and laundry together so it wont cover the tops of your clothes and clean them effectively.
We have the same washer, but for some reason, when we take out our clothes, out there are black spots on the clothes, and we can't figure out what it is
It says you can connect your phone to the washer .. have u tired that out and if so can you show a video how you did that or respond back ? Because I’m having trouble with mine to connect ... I know how to do the self care on my phone but the other I don’t
For this particular set that feature is only for troubleshooting. It isn't for running the set 😥 I'll try to get a video soon of how to set that up though 😃
Amanda James yes I have an adequate load size, but it barely moves side to side during the wash cycle. My clothes are basically just sitting there in water until the rinse cycle which works perfectly fine.

I hate mine too. It's just junk. It does not clean the clothes, a wash cycle takes about 3 times that of older washer, it either gives too much water with deep fill. Or not enough without deep fill. Only positive it spins clothes almost dry. But maybe it's because there was not enough water to wash .
