Still THE BEST Reviewer on RUclips Gaz!, funny, well articulated and you don’t take yourself too seriously. I’m so glad you’re on here and you’re looking really well and happy. 👍
Flipping heck Gareth! Don’t tell them to put less rice in, they barely give you any curry as it is! You could have cooked that curry in an egg cup! They’ll be selling it in thimbles at this rate! 🤣
Growing up we lived next door to a Punjab Indian family. Their curries were so hot I could barely eat them. As tears would stream down my face, the toddler would stare at me in curiosity, the heat didn't even phase him. I haven't had curry since then as mid-California doesn't have a restaurant near us. I'll have to check around at stores to see if they have any.
Nothing wrong with a curry; even the lesser ones give some satisfaction. Of course it's always nice to have a side dish too. Maybe some potatoes and peas. What I really look forward to in the restaurants is the lamb dishes, but you don't find them in the markets.
Nice review Gaz, thanks. I could just go that right now, it looked good, even if a bit on the small size. I always wonder who you are thinking of when you get to stabbing those film lids! 😂
Nice one, Your reviewing it , got mine yesterday £2.20p Nector price at the time , will be eating it later on today😀 Good tip also cutting it separate 👍
"Limited edition chicken phal" Guess what _I'm_ not going to find in my pokey provincial little Sainsburys. "I've been reviewing a lot of curries, I suppose because it's coming up to Halloween." Help me out, someone. 😅
Good one,Gareth. One thing I've noticed over the past year that reviews of supermarket and restaurant Phalls have said that they are tasty not just super hot.
Now that's funny, I have one of them in the fridge for tonight, I grabbed one whilst shopping when they were available last time and loved it, went back to get some more and they had stopped doing them. Then shopping yesterday I saw them again so nabbed one for tonight. They must be popular as there was only 2 left on the shelf, this was about 14:00 though. Having that with a couple of bhajis and a couple of mini naans done in the air fryer. Oh and on the subject of air fryers that new Cosori smart air fryer is the dogz bollocks massive drawer and app control, Ninja is now in the garage. Keep up the good work :)
That looks OK for the money, I bought a Sainsbury's Buryani the other day and was disappointed. The rice and curry were in one compartment, it was very dry and the meat was unevenly marinated in the sauce. Will make sure to check split compartments when I buy from Sainsbury's
Danny (R M T)-spice wimp-Gary Bleats -spice wimp-Just Beano-spice wimp!!!HOW CAN YOU HAVE ANY PUDDING IF YOU DONT REVIEW YOUR SPICE!!!!!!!!! Your the best GAZ😃
Another one for a bog roll in the fridge! 1st one @6:57 MMM....etc etc. Looking good Gareth. Just a suggestion. Have you ever thought of getting in a Hello Fresh/Guosto box in and cooking those recipes?
I will give it a go.....the last phall from Aldi a while back was no hotter than M&S"s chicken madras....it had a nice bit of chicken in it but the fire wasn't there.... hopefully this one will make me use my refrigerated toilet roll.....
I love a good curry to Gareth last one I had was a tinned chicken vindaloo from asda but it didn't seem as spicy as its supposed to be. You should start reviewing them from your local Indian places nearest to you.
Hi Gareth, just watched you with that curry.. it looked good. Ideal size for a snack. I'm now waiting for my Indian takeaway to open at 5 O'clock, thankfully Just-Eat have 20% off on Tuesday. Great vlogs
I really like a good curry, but as I have said before, mate, I can't have a hot curry. It's really destroying my stomach now that I just reached 50. When I was younger it wasn't a problem, but now, it's a huge problem. Johnny Cash's ring of fire every time I try a bit hotter curry!😅
Iceland do a Pepper Ed’s Pepper X Mac and cheese they say “Warning ! extremely hot !!!” Gaz. Give that a try, I’m gonna grab it soon too to check it out
Any Phal curry has sweet FA re Indian cooking it’s a product of British machismo to be had after 10+ pints on a Friday & Saturday night.. Indian food is spiced with various spices and yes some chilly even a vindaloo eaten down south is heavily spiced and maximum a madras hot max over here.
HI good video my sort of food as A treat it seems a little bit on the pricey for what you get you will get more at a takeaway for more money but more food and tastier good video stay strong 👌👌👍👍
These things are pretty much junk food but when I was close to the door in hospital this type of meal dragged me back into the world, hospital version mind. The rice sort of a bit of innocuous bedding and the curry just enough to give a little appetite. I notice the chicken bits have dropped from 8 to 6 mind but for a freezer quickie some of these are not too bad.
Chicken from the EU or UK. But has a GB sticker confusing that lol.... Also says Not for EU. Wonder why it says that? I only eat UK Chicken when it fully says Chicken is from the UK. Great video and I'd love to try it if the chicken was from UK.... Keep up the great work. Loving the video's.
I prefer to buy curry on its own as the rice is always too much and is not as good, light and fluffy as I can cook myself (9 minutes in a steamer in the microwave). More sauce required!
I had a feeling it wouldn't be that hot Gaz. Shame as I was looking forward to that facial expression once the heat kicks in and you looking up at the ceiling with your face turning red and the sweat breaking out, lol. Suppose you could have beefed it up by adding Hot Pepper Sauce or Sriracha which is what I do when making my own.
Yeah, you have to go through all the boxes to find a jalfrezi though, as there are 3 chicken tikka masalas and 1 jalfrezi per box... my Aldi ends up with all the boxes containing 3 tikkas after they've been put out for about an hour 😂 The jalfrezi is a banger, and I think 460g for £3.65 - great value and very tasty!
Asda curry is bob on for me the £3 one all you get is curry it goes up to £4 now and again but at three bucks it's great I just put a drop of Dave's insanity sauce into the mild ones like lamb Rogan Josh and it's perfect
You said it was not overly Hot but you also said it was only a Three Chilly Rating which you would get with a Madras. Manufacturers should not be calling it a PHAL. Not criticising your review Geezer. 👍
Hardly anything in the curry part of it! No way would I pay £3-25 for that----also, a phal should be more than a three chilli rating. As I said before, Gareth, try to go to Heron's and get their 4 for £5 deal.... two curries (good selection) and two sides (either bombay potatoes or pilau rice). Maybe you can get the deal and show us what you think of it..... all for a fiver!
🐻 it's like playing poker with Gareth dad he's come out with a hot phal 🤠 it's to late I've already cooked dinner ,no curry in sight 😭 🐻 what you done dad 🤠 spam and stuffing 😂
Nah, meals for one are a good thing; I have 4 or 5 cookbooks devoted to the discipline. Otherwise, the leftovers pile up in the fridge, magically, like dust bunnies in the corners of the room.
Still THE BEST Reviewer on RUclips Gaz!, funny, well articulated and you don’t take yourself too seriously. I’m so glad you’re on here and you’re looking really well and happy. 👍
Much appreciated thanks 😊
ingredients - chicken, pain and ultimately regret.
I 2nd that .. 👍
100%
you're spot on, definitely best reviewer of supermarket products.
Splashed out on an M&S Chicken madras tonight. Fabulous. Loads of chicken. Rice not included. Had naan instead. Delicious. Full up. 🤗
Flipping heck Gareth! Don’t tell them to put less rice in, they barely give you any curry as it is! You could have cooked that curry in an egg cup! They’ll be selling it in thimbles at this rate! 🤣
Gareth holds it up to the camera and says "look at it!" I say "zoom in a bit closer, Gaz?" 😅
It’s one of the better Supermarket curry ranges for me
£2.20 on a Nectrar just now
The Jalfrezi is decent
60p mini Naan
Job done
Had this last week. You are right, it actually smells hot! I enjoyed it.
Our local takeaway 2 dishes a rice and naan 30quid so you reviewing these shop ones is great mate keep going 😊😊
Thanks! Will do!
That actually looks quite decent. I love a hot curry.
Enjoy 👍
Growing up we lived next door to a Punjab Indian family. Their curries were so hot I could barely eat them. Just make it at home.
Nothing wrong with a curry; even the lesser ones give some satisfaction. Of course it's always nice to have a side dish too. Maybe some potatoes and peas. What I really look forward to in the restaurants is the lamb dishes, but you don't find them in the markets.
Asda do some
Lamb my fave but seems less available 😢
You can never have too many curries, love them.
You're right me too
Nice review Gaz, thanks.
I could just go that right now, it looked good, even if a bit on the small size.
I always wonder who you are thinking of when you get to stabbing those film lids! 😂
Love my curries. Keep them coming, Gareth. Cheers, mate!
More to come! Thank you
Thanks, pal.
Love a curry, these ready to microwave ones are great, and if you compare it to buying a takeout, a bargain too. Great review Gareth 👍
I have to agree mate a takeaway is getting stupid money
Thanks for watching!
Nice one, Your reviewing it , got mine yesterday £2.20p Nector price at the time , will be eating it later on today😀
Good tip also cutting it separate 👍
Hope you enjoy it!
Should your lid piercing make me chuckle. Such enthusiasm. 🤣
Yummmm nice curry gazza
Cheers pal, hope you're well
Good honest review. Very mean portion of Chicken (or what ever it is). NAGA for me next time I go for Curry!!!
Good choice!
Too hot for me Gaz; great review as usual Bud 👏👏👏
Glad you enjoyed it Rob
Nice review Gareth.. we'll done.
Thanks! 👍
What has Halloween got to do with curries 😂
"Limited edition chicken phal"
Guess what _I'm_ not going to find in my pokey provincial little Sainsburys.
"I've been reviewing a lot of curries, I suppose because it's coming up to Halloween."
Help me out, someone. 😅
Couldn't quite make the connection with Halloween and curries myself either!😄
Good one,Gareth. One thing I've noticed over the past year that reviews of supermarket and restaurant Phalls have said that they are tasty not just super hot.
Yes mate the naga from Morrisons was tasty.
Looks like a £1.99 meal.
Looks decent Gareth 🌶️🌶️Thx for sharing .
Can you try the Praveen Kumar curry’s? The madras one in particular is very good. Best ready meals you can get 100%
Now that's funny, I have one of them in the fridge for tonight, I grabbed one whilst shopping when they were available last time and loved it, went back to get some more and they had stopped doing them. With some warmed Naan bread, it would make a decent meal. I would add peas to the curry, too. Nice vlog Gareth.😊.
Wow! Got one at the weekend, in from work today and it's cooking away! I'll be eating it as I watch! How funny. 🤣🤣🤣

Hi Gareth, Great review looks a good curry 7/10 not bad catch you soon, Enjoy mate

Eighteen per cent chicken 😢 It's getting less and less . Thanks for the video ❤
Scuse me while my eyes go to the back of my head and start watering..LOL
If you want a hot curry, try Sainsbury’s own beef madras it’s a three chilli rating and it is hot.
Thank you for the recommendation 😊
Their Tikka Masala meals are quite good - rice, tikka masala, Bombay potatoes and 2 onion bargees
*Phenomenal Phal Curry Review again, Bald Foodie Guy 🔥🥵🔥⚠️💯*
I can imagine it was tasty. Excellent
Thanks Glenda 👍
Another one for a bog roll in the fridge! 1st one @6:57 MMM....etc etc. Looking good Gareth. Just a suggestion. Have you ever thought of getting in a Hello Fresh/Guosto box in and cooking those recipes?
Haha 👌
Recently found out that one of my sister's in Oz buys them and have seen the ridiculous adds in UK but agree Gaz could do a review
The size of the curry gave me pain. Almost needed a microscope!
That looked a very nice curry , can’t beat a good curry and you do a great review 👍❤️🙏🏼
I will give it a go.....the last phall from Aldi a while back was no hotter than M&S"s chicken madras....it had a nice bit of chicken in it but the fire wasn't there.... hopefully this one will make me use my refrigerated toilet roll.....
Will deffo give this one a go, keep up these great reviews matey and keep safe and well as always.😉.
Hope you enjoy it!
Never heard of this one phal Looks nice good video as usual
Thanks 👍 try it
.... really?
A bit stingy on the meat and sauce
I love a good curry to Gareth last one I had was a tinned chicken vindaloo from asda but it didn't seem as spicy as its supposed to be. You should start reviewing them from your local Indian places nearest to you.
Sainsbury’s has the worst slippery sometimes chewy chicken out of all supermarkets in these types of meals, Nice 1 BFG
Thanks for another honest review 💜💜💜
You're welcome 😊

Have you tried the mr naga pickle jar from iceland, it's fiery
Now that looks really delicious. Thank you for sharing Gaz 💯👍
You're welcome
Just put a teaspoon full of dry chilli powder in the curry then tell me it’s not to hot😂😂😂😂
Torment!..... That's why i love your reviews.
Go Gaz. Doing a top job mate 👍
Cheers Mark
Just seeing the word Phaal makes me break out in a sweat.
Hi Gareth , another great video, is it f”””ing hot , but at that price bloody good . Regards mark
Iceland do a Pepper Ed’s Pepper X Mac and cheese they say “Warning ! extremely hot !!!” Gaz. Give that a try, I’m gonna grab it soon too to check it out
Great review Gaz and they definitely us the rice to get the weight but it fills a hole 👍👍
Thanks mate

hey, it's that guy again! 😝
Bog roll in the fridge again. Keep the currys coming i could eat it all day.

Hot or not, maybe not. Can't beat a good curry though. Glad you enjoyed. All the best
Cheers Adz, all the best mate
Aldi ones better for the price and tastier another great review
Great video
Its probably zero calories...as it will go through you without touching the sides😂😂
Gaz . Your a star !

Love your reviews matey you do a great job all the best henry from ilkeston cheers

Nice one definitely not a takeaway phal.
We like it hot ,hot, hot 🥵 Great review & thanks for sharing Gareth 😋👍🍛🌶️🌶️🌶️
I prefer to buy curry on its own as the rice is always too much and is not as good, light and fluffy as I can cook myself (9 minutes in a steamer in the microwave). More sauce required!
They also do a Hot chicken Tikka Masala with cumin rice.
If you fancied comparing.
Nice one Nigel thanks
That’s the one I buy, it’s lovely.
Cheers Lad
I had a feeling it wouldn't be that hot Gaz.

Suppose you could have beefed it up by adding Hot Pepper Sauce or Sriracha which is what I do when making my own.
Looks ok, I only buy these sort of meals if the meat can be identifiable..ie...chicken that looks like chicken....no "reformed meat sludge "
Loves a Ruby does Gaz, two naans and a grandad.😅
Mhhmm 6:55 , mhhm 7:24 , mmhm 7:52, mhhm 8:14 🤤
I wonder if madonna's dad said to her you eat to much curry and she replied poppadum preach?!
You can get a huge curry from Aldi from thier Gastro range for 3.65p and they are lovely.
Yeah, you have to go through all the boxes to find a jalfrezi though, as there are 3 chicken tikka masalas and 1 jalfrezi per box... my Aldi ends up with all the boxes containing 3 tikkas after they've been put out for about an hour 😂
The jalfrezi is a banger, and I think 460g for £3.65 - great value and very tasty!
Yes think I've reviewed it.
I like Tesco’s and Sainsburys curries. But they have gone up in price over the last couple of years.Probably the same as everything else.
Like deployed 👍

Yesterday's date on it lol 😆
It was filmed before then 😆
What do mean by slippery chicken?
Slippy in texture
Yes, chicken in supermarket meals can be a bit slimy !
@@SpookyFox1000 Sainsbury's is the worst in my opinion, other stores do way better chicken.
Oh no another Curry...
If you are going to be negative feel free to move on
@@Fullmoonhowl101 LOL OK Half moon that's A howler
No swan vesta head disappointed lol.😄
a phal with only a 3 chillie rating? 😮 shirley, it must be at least a 6?
Can tell how hot the curries are by how red your head goes .youve a red head hot curry indicator head

Meals for 1 are depressing. Buy a larger one and eat the rest the next day

@@simonagree4070 More like meals for 0.5 people, I would still be hungry after eating that.
