Good morning Sunscreen Lovers! Darn it! RUclips won't let me copy the list over here... (wants me to type it out which is not happening!!) Sorry about that. Here's the link to my blog post with them all listed: www.hotandflashy.com/all-the-mineral-face-sunscreens-ive-tested/ Also, Versed Guards Up has magically restocked, it was ok but not great. Have a great weekend! xo ~a.
Hi Angie - I recently discovered the La Roche Posay (sp) Anthelios mineral sunscreens - the regular tinted and the light fluid liquid tinted and they both seem to work great. Have you tested them and if so what are your thoughts?
Me too!!! I just watched the previous years again for a second time just the other day lol. I was literally thinking to myself “hopefully she uploads this year’s video soon”
Same here! It’s the trickiest to find a nice fit. I like skin cancer council light matte tinted . I add a few Australis lightening drops as it’s a shade dark for my complexion but, it’s not at all stingy and it’s incredibly lightweight. 50+spf not overly greasy at end of day , even on my oily skin. No baling, scent or white cast. Definitely worth a try if anyone else is interested. I’ve used expensive and the cheaper ones. Cancer council is about $13AU. Was pleased to see Dr Shereene also use it.
Has anyone else noticed that Angie's almost up to a million subscribers? This is the perfect video right now to share on social media to get her to that milestone!
I loved your mugging for the camera on the "fails"....I've seen every single one of your annual sunscreen round ups. I'm a skin cancer (2x) survivor so.....THANK YOU !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There are now 4 shades of the Mychelle sunscreen. Light, Light/medium, Medium/Dark, and Dark. I hope more brands will expand their shade range of tinted sunscreens.
Good Morning Beautiful ☀️☕️ I recently had basal cell carcinoma removed from the right side of my nose. Shortly after-a plastic surgeon did a small forehead graft and I am healing! I’m 61 years old and worshipped the sun ☀️. THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO, Angie! Believe me-No one wants skin cancer on their face! Wear your 50+++ every single day! I am in a good place-On the mend! Love you xoxo 😘. Almost a million viewers!! Congratulations 🍾
For those who can’t get their hands on the Mychelle, you’re not missing out if you have dry skin. This always flakes on me and I can’t wear it unless I have a healthy non-irritated perfectly hydrated skin day.
I COMPLETELY agree and am so glad to hear others have had the same not great experience. I have dryish skin tendencies as well and really wanted to like it and have tried it 2 separate times. Both times it balled up or started peeling off my face.
I bought this three years in a row and I’ve returned itthree years. Rolls if I have anything on my skin. Too dry if I don’t have any moisturizer on...soooo disappointing.
Thank you for posting this! I just tried this and it instantly started to peel and pill. I thought I was doing something wrong so pulled up the video again and saw your message. I didn't think my skin was that dry but apparently it is. ☹️
You're going to hit a million Subs soon! Wahoo. Thanks for this video because I've been pretty attached to the Elta. Love you so much, Angie. Have a great Friday.
Angie the Colorscience GLOW you tested is actually meant to add a glow. You should have picked up the plain tinted one. There’s 3, the plain, the glow, and the Bronze.
My favorite sunscreen is actually for babies - Pipette Mineral Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 50. Works great and the ingredients are awesome. I have dry skin and it feels moisturizing.
I wonder if I got a bad batch or something with this one, it looks clear but is also unbearably greasy and sticky, it makes me feel like I'm walking around with a thick layer of Vaseline on my face all day.
My 30 y o daughter wears the Mychelle, my 53 y o skin the Elta MD and Australian Gold . Just visited my 79 y o mom .... she walks 5 miles a day, not a big fan of make up, but noticed me putting on sunscreen. We jumped into action , got her face all prepped ! Made her watch some Angie videos. Ordered her products and she’s delighted ! 💕
Oh gosh, I finally tried the Australian Gold sunscreen and it is incredible! The way it dries down to a matte finish and has a nice tint will make my summer day look a breeze!
I much prefer the non-Glow version, which is called Colorescience Sunforgettable Total Protection Face Shield SPF 50. It’s a holy grail sunscreen for me. Note that my phototype is Fitzpatrick II. ♥️ 🧴 😎 🏖 👏
Thank you for being so very thorough!!! I truly appreciate all the time and effort you put into your research! Still using Australian Gold, but very tempted to try this year’s winner 😊
Angie, I'm so thankful for your channel. All the work you put in for your viewers is amazing. I been watching your channel for over 4 years. I have been able to pass on information you have given to my family and friends. I have notice a dramatic improvement in myself and others. If I was able to do more to represent your channel I would love to. A HUGE THANK YOU!
Thank you so much for doing all this research and testing for us, I can’t tell you how much of a game changer your favorites have been for me. I don’t have a huge beauty budget that I can use to try out a bunch of products so your more methodical approach to testing new products means a lot to me.
Awwww Angie, thank you so, so much for being a beautiful guinea pig for us! I use the Australian Gold Untinted (have been for a number of years) and yes, the tinted one is thick! I'm now using a sunscreen Wayne Goss gave the green light to. It's called Altruist and it's £5!!!!! Oh yes, it is factor 50. Anyway, thank you again, 👍💞👍
Hi Angie, just watched your video and read through your complete review on your blog - this is such a comprehensive list!! I'm just wondering why Badger sunscreens do not appear anywhere on your list? Have you ever tried any of their products? They are all mineral and they also have clear zinc oxide options (no white cast) I'm just wondering why they don't seem to be featured much on YT reviews? I checked the EWG listings and they recommend more Badger sunscreens than an other brand! I'm from the UK and sunscreens are classified differently there so this is all new to me! Thank you for doing such thorough research, loving your channel. Xx
Always love your annual mineral sunscreen roundup! Would really appreciate your thoughts on Dr Sam’s mineral sunscreen (both tinted and non-tinted) and Simply Zinc!
I love love Blissoma sunscreen....defend... Its all natural..no harsh Ingredients and organic... easy on skin and stays well under makeup..hope you all try this one!!!💚
Hi Angie, Would you be willing to review the new Cetaphil sheer mineral liquid face drops SPF 50? It claims to be great under makeup. Another great and informative video. Thank you so much!
I have dry skin and a fair complexion, and I find most tinted sunscreens look terrible on me because they tend more light-to-medium. I’ve recently been using the Elta MD 30+ that comes in a jar. I know it doesn’t qualify for your review because it’s a mix of “chemical “ and mineral sunscreen, but it is recommended for “mature and post-procedural” skin. It doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin, sinks into the skin well, works nicely under makeup for me, and feels very nourishing and moisturizing on the skin. I would prefer a higher SPF, so of course I’ll keep watching your recommendations, Angie! ❤️
I just noticed that the Mychell contains hydrolyzed wheat protein. I am allergic to wheat and this could also be a problem for those who are gluten free. Thanks for testing these for us.
Hi Angie! I live on fresh water and swim all summer. The Elta MD BURNS my eyes for a while after diving in. I stopped wearing it swimming. The Australian Gold does not burn and lasts in water. Thank You for another Awesome Video!
Thank you, Angie! You go through so much to test and review products which I love. I trust your reviews and truly appreciate what you do for all of us!!
Hi Angie, love your videos! Wondering if you might consider reviewing spf lip balms? Very few people talk about sunscreen on your lips and it very important. Do you wear an spf balm under your lipstick? If so, wondering what your favorite brands are.
Jack Black has a lip balm (Intense Therapy Lip Balm SPF25). It comes in a tube. I really like this one! Just be aware that some of the "scents/flavours" are strong, so if you do try it, stick to the more plain scents and avoid the Grapefruit one. Paula's Choice has a stick lip balm SPF50 that is also nice if you need a higher SPF. I keep both in my handbag!
@@michellekelly2937 Thank you, Michelle! I will check those out. I have been using ColorScience Lip Shine lately and it is pretty good. It is the ONLY lip gloss that I have been able to find that offers an SPF. It can be drying after it wears off but if you pair it with something else (I pair it with a Clinique Chubby Stick) it is not so bad and offers great protection. I have yet to try it over a lipstick.
I just got a new tube of the Australian Gold ... the first one I've gotten from them since they came out with more than one tint color. I notice that the ingredient deck is not the same as the older tube I am finishing up. I'm curious as to whether you have compared the ingredient decks of both of them ... I also notice that the old tube stated it was reef safe and that is not included on the new tube. Forgot to add that I totally agree with the #1 pick on this video. I am now on my second bottle of the MyChelle and I am in love with it!
I have been using the Olay Mineral SPF 30 for months now and love it. Goes on well, stays on all day and for me, it wears great with makeup. My makeup stays on great with it. I try to buy it when it's buy one get one for a % off.
I have found that mixing CereVe and Australian Gold ends up being a good combo. One is too shiny and one is too dry. And the two mixed together are the right shade for me.
R u talking about mixing both the tinted versions is cerave and australian gold? I use the josie maran tinted and love the color, but so so shiny and greasy. Really want to try the mychelle one but scared about the drying part. Trying to find a tinted that is semi matte I guess. Just not greasy.
@@rorblmbo yes. The aus gold is too matte and too dark for me by itself. When I mix it with cereVe the color and the texture comes out much better. Neither one is very expensive so it was worth the experiment for me. But I finally invested in one of Angie’s top recommendations and it has been worth the extra cost! I should have listened to her earlier haha 😀
@@xiakala7836 this is still jade 😊. Just logged in on my other acct I find that a good gel cream works the best. My personal favorite is clinique moisture surge. I've also tried nutrageana hydroboost, and Burts bees gel cream and those are both pretty good. I just prefer the feel of moisture surge.
@@xiakala7836 I also use a thick cream like honest company gel cream or naturium plant ceramide at night and don't wash my face in the morning. I also just wet my face and dry and immediately put on my bha essence and the follow with the moisturizer and spf I have pretty dry skin so washing my face 2 times a day is too much for me.
Ok something I feel like is missing from these type videos (and I don’t know how you could cover everything) is the actual sun protection part. I use and love the Josie Maran, I live in Colorado, which is dry, and I personally love the way makeup looks over it. More importantly though I have melasma and it is the only sunscreen where my melasma does not get darker. I live at 8,000 feet and hike regularly, so I’m getting more than twice as much sun as someone at sea level (and it’s sunny almost everyday here). I have tried so many sunscreens (all mineral) and the biggest thing for me was do they actually protect from the sun. The JM is the only one that completely shields my skin.
Same. My favorite is the discontinued Alba mineral face. Kind of greasy, but good under makeup still. I KNOW when a sunscreen doesn't work. Their regular mineral sunscreen gives a cast, but at least blends into the skin and works. Tested in afternoon sun at pool in El Paso for a week. My aunt had to know what I was using that my pale Oregon butt didn't get burned.
Valuable survey, thank you for what you do. I have checked your master list of reviewed sunscreens and do not see a review of Kiehl's Super Fluid UV Mineral Defense Broad Spect SPF 50+-- universal tint. It has become my favorite over MyChelle Sun Shield tinted which dried my skin in winter, saving for summer. Found Kiehl's tinted similar but less dry. 1/2 tsp., no greasy look, no drying, alone or with my makeup.
I immediately ordered the mychelle before the video ended using your link! Thank you! Only 17.99 on Amazon. Way cheaper than the Clinique I’ve been using.
PSA: if you have very dry skin, avoid the Mychelle. It's horrid. I only use it on my arms and legs because it makes my dry skin look like the Crypt Keeper.
I have very dry skin too, Cotz flawless complexion tinted the SPF 50, (NOT the 40 or 35) works great, I think it would not work for oily or combo. But one get 40% off at ULTA right now.
Hi Angie, I think you will like Suntegrity Impeccable Skin tinted sunscreen, Suntegrity 5-in-1 tinted sunscreen if you have dry skin, or Suntegrity untinted face or body sunscreens. This is my favorite brand right now because their tinted sunscreens have multiple functions, work well & have clean/great ingredients.
@@MoGeeinternationalsince1969 it really did! I just stared at myself for about 5 minutes thinking that it needed to "settle into the skin," but no way haha. I am cool-fair so maybe it will work better on neutral or warmer medium tones. The nicest thing though, is that they refunded my money right away.
Thanks so much for all your work and thoroughness!! Very informative! I use 2 of your faves! Although I use the untinted on my neck cuz' I don't like getting make up all over my collars. Anyway, so good Angie!
I just got a sample of "Dermalogica Invisible PHYSICAL defense" from Sephora (30 SPF) and it is SO good for dry skin. Cruelty Free to boot and wore well under makeup.
It's so great when you find a face sunscreen you really like. My favourite for many years is the Paula's Choice Hydralight Shine-Free Mineral Complex SPF30. I just love the way it makes my skin look. It's great on its own or under makeup.
I’m 67 and I understand the importance of sunscreen and use it daily. Here’s my problem: it stains everything. I have tried many different ones, and currently use the EltaMD. But, no matter which one I use and how careful I am, it gets on my clothes. How in the world do you get it out of your clothes?? I’m really frustrated...
You may want to try Skin Aqua Super Moisture Milk. It's a Zinc Oxide based sunscreen, but it also has Octinoxate and Uvinul A Plus, which are organic filters. If you're fine with hybrid sunscreen, this sunscreen doesn't leave a white cast at all. I've never had a problem with it. It doesn't stain my clothes, it doesn't stain my hands. It just feels like a regular chemical/organic sunscreen.
i find it easiest to wear clear/white sunscreen rather than tinted. i like the supergoop sheer sunscreen SPF 30. it dries slightly matte and doesn’t transfer.
I love the regular Colorscience face shield. I haven’t tried the glow. The regular is great for my dry skin and it doesn’t have a super shiny finish. I’m curious about the Mychelle but because so many say it’s drying, I’m hesitant. The Australian Gold is drying for me so I just use that when I’m outside gardening or on top of something more moisturizing.
Tip: Zinc Oxide to speed recovery from burns, lasers, and skin reactions (skin peels.) Hello! I love your channel. I've watched all of your Fraxel Laser Treatment videos too (I will post this comment there also). I wanted to give you and others a tip I learned from radiation-treatment last year. You can use zinc oxide (generic, drug store, extra strength diaper cream) to recover from skin burns, radiation, laser treatments, even skin rashes and allergies. It dramatically speeds the healing and calms the pain. I had 2nd degree burns from radiation on my breast that were crusting over and looked like raw steak -- very painful. I slathered a thick layer on and put plastic wrap over it 24 hours a day (never during or before radiation of course. You should be completely finished with treatment because zinc oxide blocks penetration of UV light, radiation and lasers. Even the residue blocks it.) It stayed moist and skin pealed off by itself. In 4 days I had newborn skin. For laser recovery you could apply it at night, maybe without the plastic wrap (it helps but it's not easy to deal with. You need a bandage or maybe a ski mask to keep it in place. You WANT to sweat.) Zinc Oxide is completely white and very difficult to remove. I suggest oil to get it off and don't get it in your hair or any clothes that you care about. For burns that tend to crust I put ointment (Vaseline or castor oil) over it if I'm not using plastic wrap. Put any other creams (lidocaine, Vitamin C, calendula) on before the zinc oxide. Nothing penetrates it. No rubbing makes it invisible. You could use very pure mineral sunscreen during the day too. It calms redness and pain. Zinc oxide was prescribed by my radiation specialist (MD) after cancer treatment. I'm not a doctor. Hope this helps some folks.
This vid came just in time - I was standing in front of the sunscreen section of CVS for 20 minutes yesterday & left with nothing, was so overwhelmed!! 🙁
lol I feel that way every time I try to randomly shop in a drug store. I spend forever and leave with nothing 🙄 It can be overwhelming, not to mention trying to read labels. 🤪 I started doing all my shopping online, even pre-lockdown. Thank goodness for Angie’s deep dives.
One you might like for at the beach or poolside for the BODY only!!! Is Pipette mineral baby spf 50. EXTREMELY emollient and shiny, shiny, shiny!!!! It's like putting on body lotion though, won't dry you out at all, it has squalene in it!
The CeraVe tinted that you showed at the end, but didn't talk about, is so good by itself for light/med skin tones, and dry to combo skin. Also, love the Elta MD and pulled mine out after you mentioned it. Going to replenish it for sure! The MyChelle was a little dry when I tested it a year ago. I wonder if they reformulated...?
So glad to see you again on Friday morning. You have made me far more aware of how important sunscreen is every day! I have used the Make Prem and Elta because of you. Both are 👍
I purchased Mychelle sunscreen based on your recommendations and used it under No.7 Lift and Luminate foundation in cool ivory and it worked so well! The foundation went on smoothly and looked very natural over Mychelle. I think I have found my HG!! Thank you so much Angie!
I would love to see you test sunscreen sprays that you can reapply over your makeup. I wear EltaMD HG everyday, but I want to be able to reapply without messing up my makeup later in the day.
hi, look at Natasha-beauty-junky-monkey, she just put out a video for Shiseido SPF stick. She uses it when she wants to reapply over makeup and it worked!!
I’ve always known wearing sunscreen is important, but you have truly educated me on just how important it is to wear it every day to protect against skin cancer and premature aging. I have never been able to find one that didn’t feel greasy on my face. I’m going to give your 2021 choice a try!
The Australian Gold it’s been my fave for years now.. I LOVE IT!! I had a hard time finding it, until now that I used your link 😅 Thanks for posting this video 💕💕💕
Before I found your channel I thought the only way to younger, healthier skin came with big, spendy price tags (out of my budget), but since I've been watching you I now have a real honest-to-God skin care routine. And thanks to mostly CeraVe, Neutrogena and The Ordinary, it's one that I can afford. In the past couple months it's as if I erased ten years from my face and I'm mad that I've had to keep it hidden under a mask in public, lol! My two all-time favourite sunscreens are the Australian Gold Botanical Tinted, and La Roche-Posay Anthelios 50 Mineral Tinted. I noticed you weren't as impressed with the Roche-Posay as I am, lol, but their tinted version matched my skin tone exactly and I love the finish so much I seldom use a separate foundation. Anyway, THANK YOU so much for all your knowledge. I appreciate it so much!
I'm so happy your skin is looking better than ever & your routine is affordable!! I'm not a fan of the LRP because it only has titanium dioxide so it doesn't protect against the entire UVA spectrum leaving you open for skin damage that could be avoided if they included zinc oxide.
Thanks Angie! I'll give your winner for this year a shot! I love love love the Australian Gold spf 50- but yes, it can be drying ... so.... after seeing a certain male make up person say that he sometimes mixes his primer with his spf... for that reason, I thought okay... let's have a go at it... I decided to try it with the flower beauty primer that you recently demonstrated... and... viola! No more drying of my skin, and it actually seems to make my make up last longer as well- So grateful to have your guidance on these sorts of things... thank you again! Have a great weekend! Keep Yourself Well...💚
@@AllyKit from what I understand as long as you are using the prescribed amount of SPF ... and ADDING the primer to it... you are still getting the same protection ...
Thanks Angie! Very informative video. I’ve recently tried UV Elements and it made my dry skin flake. I was so surprised. Is there anything I could try that would help this? Or, maybe try a different sunscreen? Thanks!
Me too! But I never know how many 'drops' to use, it's super runny so I have hard time getting the 'right' amount on my face before it drips through my fingers.
@@LibbyKirkland I put the drops on the back of my hand. If I hold still they just kind of sit there in a puddle and I dip into them with the fingers of my other hand. Then if I need more I put another dropper full on the back of my hand. Try that, it might work better for you.
Angie, have you been able to try the Bliss Blockstar Invisible Daily Sunscreen yet!?!? OMG, I have really, really liked it! It's all mineral, slightly tinted, has so far been great under makeup, ect. It reminds me of the Australian Gold you like so much (consistency and water resistant for 80 min), only this one is very hydrating (which for me works better). I would LOVE to see you put it to the test though, and see what you think!!! Happy fun in the sun!! 🌞
@@MM-li8nk do not know, but this is from the question section under the product. If your product says Blue Ray is looks to be the mineral one ... Mychelle is my new favorite "clean" mineral SPF 50 ☺️ I start off by gently shaking bottle, adding 6 drops to my open palm, and then patting it all around my face, then add 6 more drops and pat all over face (12 drops= right amount of spf). It gives me zero cast, it's matte and not shiny, and gives me the 50 protection i need from using retinols at night. I don't see the "gray color" some people are describing, maybe you didn't get the right shade? I am olive skin toned and use the medium shade. I also don't get an extra dry feeling because I always start off my day with vit c serum and moisturizer, I never depend on my SPF for moisture. So start there if you are interested in this product! It's awesome, good luck!
I love what you are doing for us! I have a question , can I use a mineral on the top of a chemical sunscreen? I love Anthelios xl anti shine from La Roche Posay and on top of that I am using Neostrata sheer physical protection tinted liquid because it is also mat and has a beautiful colour for my skin tone. Am I ok with that? sorry for my english
Angie, would love a video on mineral body sunscreen...I would love to find a daily mineral lotion (not for beach days or waterproof) that’s light and wearable. Aveeno does one, but it’s not mineral. Thanks for all the effort you put in for us! 🙏🏼💕
I tried Australian Gold because of Angie. I use two parts of the lightest tint for the face and one part of the untinted for the body, (this reduces the SPF slightly as my untinted version is only 30 spf) because I am quiet pale with pink undertones. This combination works well for me and once it has set over the rest of my skincare i quite like how it looks without makeup. It feels very soft like a primer, it does not feel greasy on the skin and if I am hot and sweating I can blot gently with a tissue and it remains undisturbed. I wish I could have discovered Australian Gold earlier so I could have been more consistent with sunscreen to avoid the signs of aging I have accumulated at age 53.
Hilariously, in Australia, I can’t find a shop that sells Australian Gold. I don’t even know why it has the word ‘Australian’ in it because it was founded in Florida. 🤣
My skin is too dry to wear it on my face, but I've been using it on the back of my hands. It does not come off very easily even after washing my hands. Pretty much need a double cleanse to get this off.
This is another amazing and helpful video! Unfortunately Elta MD is not available in Europe yet! I’m dying to try it for my dry to combo skin! Anyways thanks Angie!
I prefer "chemical" sunscreens, because they offer a much higher ppd/uva protection. So sad the FDA doesn't approve more european, advanced filters. I still enjoy these comparison videos though, ty Angie!
I wish the non-mineral sunscreens didn't hurt my face and eyes so much! It seems like they're easier to shop for. As for UVA protection, my understanding was that chemical sunscreens are only superior is you really are applying every two hours (which I do not have time for indoors). I'm not an expert, so I'm certainly open to learning more!
You can buy them from websites here though and get them posted, though postage costs may be a bit high. They are worth it though, the new ones out recently from LRP, Avene and Garnier are the best yet.
Thanks for all the reviews!! I'm sticking with the Coppertone Pure and Simple, love it!!! I let it absorb for about 5-10 minutes before putting on my makeup and I am good to go,and all for $10..00 for 177ml🙂
So happy to see this video now that the sun in Florida is getting to summer intensity. Would love to know when there are any fragrances. You did mention one or two that had fragrance you did not like. Fragrance is a No-No for me.
Thank you so much for these videos, Angie! As someone who is sensitive to chemical sunscreens and also hates the greasy, sticky finish that most mineral sunscreens have, I have found these videos to be so incredibly helpful.
Have you tested Drmtology Universal Tinted Moisturizer SPF 46? I use as a sunscreen over my regular moisturizer. It dries down well & performs well under makeup. I alternate with Ulta MD Elements. BTW, the commercial that popped up for your video- Super Goop! 🤣
Pyunkang Yul ATO Milk Sun Cream: This is a gel formula, but contains only titanium dioxide as sunscreen. I use this only as a "primer" when applying CeraVe Tinted as my "foundation." Titanium dioxide does NOT provide any efficient UVA protection. It is fragrance free and the dry down is luminous. Verdio UV Moisture Gel SPF 50 PA ++++ : This is a gel formula that uses octinoxate for UVB only and titanium dioxide for UVB and UVA II as the SPF. I find that this causes pilling when applied under foundation that contains physical sunscreen (EL Futurist or Chanel CC cream). There is no fragrance and the dry down is a tad shiny. I also find that it settles into pores making them look like white dots. Rohto Skin Aqua UV Super Moisture gel SPF 50 PA ++++ : A gel formula that Uvinal A Plus for UVA protection and octinoxate for UVB. This is also fragrance free and wears well under my foundation. It does offer a more luminous finish. My foundation does not pill when wearing this as my facial SPF. Most of these I have purchased from either iHerb or Amazon. I do have other SPF products that I have trialed. I can share those too.
Hi Angie! Is there a way for you to turn on closed captioning? I lost the hearing in my right ear about 10 years ago and this week I lost my hearing in my good ear. Every week I look forward to seeing you twice a week but now I have no way to hear you. I am now deaf. I noticed that my other beauty girls have the ability to watch with closed captioning, but you are my ride or die and I'm so sad that I can't hear you at all. It would make a world of difference to me if I could still have you in my life.
Hi Angie, thank you so much for the reviews and all the work. I always look forward to this video! Do you know "Replenix Sheer Mineral Sunscreen SPF50+". I would love to have your thoughts on this one. Best wishes from Germany! :-)
One lab made most of the of the Korean sunscreens. After purito was tested with less then stated spf other brands tested there products. Every sunscreen that was made at that lab tested at less then stated spf. That's why purito, Dr.jart, krave and others have been pulled. The lab is facing serious legal issues in Korea.
After learning about purito I developed serious trust issues for sunscreen. Bought a gadget now that I can point on my skin to see whether my sunscreen still protects me or not - works wonders!! Made me also realize that I need to re-apply at least twice a day lol

Thank you for posting this! I have dry skin even in the summer.
Funny! It has the exact opposite affect on me with my dry skin!!
I know! Can't believe it!!
Well deserved!!!
Long overdue!
How’s the white cast?
@@skincarewithaustin Not bad at all! Really the best I've used - I love it!
I wonder if I got a bad batch or something with this one, it looks clear but is also unbearably greasy and sticky, it makes me feel like I'm walking around with a thick layer of Vaseline on my face all day.
Does your makeup work well over it?
@@tiffanymoran2961 Yes, I think my makeup actually looks better over the sunscreen than without it.
So nice having an over 50 RUclipsr that does a good job at these videos. Lots of good product info. Thanks!!
79 walking 5 miles/day🙌🏼🎉Go, Mom!!!💝
I can’t get over how gorgeous you look!! I love your makeup as well and your hair 👏🏼👏🏼
Oh gosh, I finally tried the Australian Gold sunscreen and it is incredible! The way it dries down to a matte finish and has a nice tint will make my summer day look a breeze!
Love this video- thank you. Do you have, or have you done a video on how to keep the makeup/sunscreen from transferring to your clothing neckline??
I'd love to know as well.
I would love a video on this also!
I feel like it’s difficult to prevent transfer
That Colour Science sunscreen looks great under makeup! Makes your skin appear flawless!😍
It really surprised me!
@@AngieHotandFlashy Yes! You looked glowy, in a good way!
Ag is still the best value!!
Australian Gold is my holy grail.👍
It’s the best beach sunscreen ever 💗
@@katem6861 I love it but this year it's drying me out too much. Switched to Neutrogena 60 SPF
Another great video, Angie. Have you tested body sunscreens? Would love your analysis!
I would really like for Angie to test body sunscreens too and some without fragrance because so many are sensitive to fragrance now.
SkinMedica Essential Defense Mineral Shield SPF 35 Sunscreen is my favorite. Perfect tint. No white cast. Great under makeup!
Thank you so much for doing all this research and testing for us, I can’t tell you how much of a game changer your favorites have been for me. I don’t have a huge beauty budget that I can use to try out a bunch of products so your more methodical approach to testing new products means a lot to me.
PTR max mineral naked mineral spf 45. 19% zinc, tinted, not heavy or drying, excellent. I’d love to hear what you think!
On it!
I love love Blissoma sunscreen....defend...
Its all natural..no harsh Ingredients and organic... easy on skin and stays well under makeup..hope you all try this one!!!💚
Hi Angie,
Would you be willing to review the new Cetaphil sheer mineral liquid face drops SPF 50? It claims to be great under makeup. Another great and informative video. Thank you so much!
Second this!
Absolutely!
Happy you found one that works for you!
Great video! Angie could you do a video on upf clothing, hats, scarves, parasols etc?
I have been using the Elta MD and the Australian Gold and I love love them, thanks to you ! ♡

My personal favorite is clinique moisture surge. I've also tried nutrageana hydroboost, and Burts bees gel cream and those are both pretty good. I just prefer the feel of moisture surge.

@@KeepingUpWithTheKenneys Thank you very much! I haven't tried gel creams but I will. Very helpful! 🙂
I absolutely love the way you set up your sunscreen testing reviews. It's so original and makes it easy to remember. You are the best at doing this!
I use the Colorscience Glow as a highlghter only. It's so perfect for that. I'm pretty sure you can see it from outer space.
Thanks! I can’t use Australian Gold because of the drying.
I have combo skin and MyChelle did not work for me either. I didn't like using it and made my face look dry.
It didn’t work for my combo skin either. Maybe we got a bad batch
I have very dry skin too, Cotz flawless complexion tinted the SPF 50, (NOT the 40 or 35) works great, I think it would not work for oily or combo. But one get 40% off at ULTA right now.
MyChelle and Australian Gold are big fails for my dry skin. I love the EltaMD UV Elements, but sadly the shade is a little too dark for me 😢
Hi Angie, I think you will like Suntegrity Impeccable Skin tinted sunscreen, Suntegrity 5-in-1 tinted sunscreen if you have dry skin, or Suntegrity untinted face or body sunscreens. This is my favorite brand right now because their tinted sunscreens have multiple functions, work well & have clean/great ingredients.
I had tried the Colorscience Glow and it made me look like C3PO. I use their regular tinted mineral sunscreen and it's excellent.
C3PO 🤣🤣🤣👏🏼
@@MoGeeinternationalsince1969 it really did! I just stared at myself for about 5 minutes thinking that it needed to "settle into the skin," but no way haha. I am cool-fair so maybe it will work better on neutral or warmer medium tones. The nicest thing though, is that they refunded my money right away.
Amazing presentation. My wife and I are watching it together. I'm trying Badger for the first time in the ocean tomorrow.
Thanks so much for all your work and thoroughness!! Very informative! I use 2 of your faves! Although I use the untinted on my neck cuz' I don't like getting make up all over my collars. Anyway, so good Angie!
Thanks Angie. I just had MOHS surgery on my face yesterday. Appreciate the sunscreen research.
I just got a sample of "Dermalogica Invisible PHYSICAL defense" from Sephora (30 SPF) and it is SO good for dry skin. Cruelty Free to boot and wore well under makeup.
I got the MyChelle and I'm in LOVE! It's EXACTLY what I've been looking for. I can wear it completely alone and it looks beautiful!
THANK YOU Angie! I’ve had melanoma and can’t express how important this is! 👏🏻❤️💕🥰🥰🥰
I love COSRX Aloe Soothing Sun Cream. It’s SPF 50, no white cast, not shiny, and it smells great. It’s also relatively cheap.
I’ve watched your sunscreen videos for a few years now. Thank you for taking the time to test these so we don’t have to.
Yes! I have the same issue! I'd love to hear some tips on getting sunscreen out of clothes!
Thanks for the video. My skin is on the dryer side and the MyChelle was very drying. It also gave me polka-dot pores.
Aww, sorry to hear it didn't work for you...

lol I feel that way every time I try to randomly

One you might like for at the beach or poolside for the BODY only!!! Is Pipette mineral baby spf 50. EXTREMELY emollient and shiny, shiny, shiny!!!! It's like putting on body lotion though, won't dry you out at all, it has squalene in it!
Would love to see a body mineral sunscreen video that includes water/sweat resistant sunscreens
Both are 👍

Yay!! I wait all year for your spring/summer sunscreen review! 😍
I decided to try it with the flower beauty primer that you recently demonstrated... and... viola! No more drying of my skin, and it actually seems to make my make up last longer as well-
So grateful to have your guidance on these sorts of things... thank you again! Have a great weekend! Keep Yourself Well...💚
When you mix it with primer, is the spf still effective?
@@AllyKit from what I understand as long as you are using the prescribed amount of SPF ... and ADDING the primer to it... you are still getting the same protection ...

Thanks Angie! Very informative video. I’ve recently tried UV Elements and it made my dry skin flake. I was so surprised. Is there anything I could try that would help this? Or, maybe try a different sunscreen? Thanks!
I’ve been using that MyChelle sunscreen for a couple of weeks now and I LOVE it! My skin loves it too!
It's so good!
So it’s not drying? I’m seeing mixed reviews.
So if it bad for dry skin? I keep getting mixed reviews
Angie, have you been able to try the Bliss Blockstar Invisible Daily Sunscreen yet!?!? OMG, I have really, really liked it! It's all mineral, slightly tinted, has so far been great under makeup, ect. And now they have changed it! I am so upset.
Your English is great! I’m not Angie 😁, but I would think you could layer them.
Thank you! You are very kind!😊
Angie, would love a video on mineral body sunscreen...I would love to find a daily mineral lotion (not for beach days or waterproof) that’s light and wearable. Aveeno does one, but it’s not mineral. Thanks for all the effort you put in for us! 🙏🏼💕
Australian Gold is my daily whether I wear makeup or not! I have oily skin and this sunscreen stays put even with makeup over it.
This is what I use everyday. I don’t wear foundation on a daily basis and this is the best!
Mine too. Still my favorite, and affordable.
Thanks, Angie! Have you tried the Elf Poreless Putty Primer? I wore it yesterday and it seems like a winner.
The Olay sunscreen is only $28 at Walmart. Holy Grail. I don't wear makeup. I have dry skin. Never dries me out.
Good to know, I have super dry skin
Same here, I absolutely love this sunscreen. Perfect for dry skin. I still use a separate moisturizer but the Olay formula is still hydrating for me.
Is it mineral ?
I love it. It's my favorite every day sunscreen. It's also fungal acne safe, which is not so common among the mineral sunscreens
I apply the Paula’s choice wrinkle defense spf 30 around my eyes then chemical sunscreen on my face. Skin aqua uv essence gold
That's one is my favorite too! It's great for dry skin and it has 20% zinc. Fragrance free too. I haven't found anything else that matches yet!
This video came at the perfect time with my coffee☕
So happy to see this video now that the sun in Florida is getting to summer intensity. Would love to know when there are any fragrances. You did mention one or two that had fragrance you did not like. Fragrance is a No-No for me.
Same, and same!
Can you please review DRMTLGY Universal Tinted Moisterizer SPF 46
Love your reviews⭐⭐⭐🌹🤗
This is my favorite right now!!
@@suzannecross4089 is it good for dry skin
Thank you so much for these videos, Angie! As someone who is sensitive to chemical sunscreens and also hates the greasy, sticky finish that most mineral sunscreens have, I have found these videos to be so incredibly helpful.
I’d love to see you review the new Cetaphil Mineral spf 50 sunscreen.
Will get it to try! You don't have to wait a year for my review on it... I talk about them in my monthly faves & fails videos throughout the year!
If you are interested in a few suggestions that are combo etc., I have been trying a lot of obscure brands on my very dry mature skin.
Do tell! 🙏🏽
Yes, please share

Yes! I have been waiting for this!❤️❤️❤️❤️
Hi Angie, thank you so much for the reviews and all the work.
I've decided not to buy Korean sunscreens anymore because they do not have to prove their claimed SPF.
After learning about purito I developed serious trust issues for sunscreen. Bought a gadget now that I can point on my skin to see whether my sunscreen still protects me or not - works wonders!! Made me also realize that I need to re-apply at least twice a day lol
@@sarahmiller2253 What is the name of this wonder gadget? Sounds really useful. I remember the sunscreenr but couldn't find it online anymore.
