I bought 20 dollar auto engineering course on Udemy but these free videos are way better. Nice animations, clear explanation and according to my girlfriend the dude has a very soothing voice. Whatever that means. I'm not surprised the most reliable car brand has world class free auto tech vids. Thanks for putting these up.
There have been several Turbocharged Corollas from the factory, and supercharged, and some with 20v heads. Toyota is not shy when it comes to outlandish engineering, on it’s mass market models.
A turbo also takes away power... the backpressure on the cylinder as it exhaust also "takes away" power. Put a turbo on a car, but don't hook up the compressor side, it will. "Lose power".
@@mattb9664 yup. I’ve spoken to magnessun briefly. Last they said they were still trying to get complete access to the ECU. Not sure why Toyota wouldn’t assist them since magnessun supplies (or did) the TRD supercharger kits
Love the idea of toyota turbo vehicles.. just dont go and put a 4cyl turbo in the tacoma like ford did with the ranger. 4cyl engines belong in cars (NOT!) Trucks. Unless its the 2.8 turbo diesel with available 6speed manual gearbox..😍
If Toyota goes turbo or twin turbo for performance there goes the long term reliability where Toyota engines can go 3-400K miles original engine and transmission
Lol! Toyota explains forced induction and they Turbo or Supercharge nothing unless you count a BMW Supra. I can remember the 80’s and 90’s Toyota when you used to set the standard for forced induction. To bad you Cant remember!
I have owned nothing but Toyota/Lexus vehicles. I love these kind of videos that helps people to understand what they’re driving! Kudos Toyota!
We appreciate your feedback, Roberto, and we're so glad the video is helpful. 🤗 Thanks for being such a loyal member of the Toyota family! ❤️ -Macy
Toyota does everything right ,even their turbo explanations are spot on ,they explained in 5 min ,what took me yrs to understand ❤️👍
You're too kind, Mark! ❤️ We're glad the video was helpful and easy to understand.
Well done Toyota! Very well done with the clear explanation and on point visuals.
We appreciate your support! ❤️

Just give us a turbo Corolla already.

Looks like Toyota is turning to the powers of the Dark Side of the Force... *Darth Sidious Voice. 😆
Looking forward to the pure BEV how it works video.
Amazing explanation
Love your videos, great information and great animation. Thank you so much for the content
Thank you for your support! ❤️
Great videos. Keep them up. RS
Would love for TRD to come out with a supercharger for 2021 4Runner!
And the 2020. Magnusson has one, but it's not ready for 2020, 2021 or presumably 2022 models yet.

Would love one for the Taco that makes over 500hp
I love watching your videos need somthing to learn before I go to basic training thank you this is fun
We're glad you're having fun, Justin! ❤️
Like this information very well. Thanks.
What type of turbo system is the new tundra? Are they scroll design or some other type?
Can you guys announce the 2022 tundra already!
Sounds like you're just as excited as we are! 🙌 You can learn more and sign up for updates here: www.toyota.com/newtundra. -Michelle
This is soooo badass thank you so much for this amazing video 🔥🔥🔥
How about a 2022 Tundra 101 video? 😃
Nice try. 😉
The Toyota V35A-FTS 3.5L Twin Turbo Engine, yeah I see what you did there Toyota :)
Are you guys going to start turbo charging more models
Please make advanced tutorials like these

Fast forward to now: The 2022 Tundra will have a Twin Turbo V6 in place of its faithful V8. Goodbye reliability, hello giant repair tabs.
Give. Us. The. New. 4runner. Please. You’re teasing us with all these videos and I wanna know what you’re going to surprise us with! 😭😭
Awesome .. thank you 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

Would never buy anything forced induction unless Toyota brings some out. Reliability worries me and that’s something Toyota doesn’t take lightly.

Is this what might happen if Toyota goes to turbo ? RS
Or just take a larger engine and make it act even larger
Bring the GR Yaris to the states PLEASE
I'll take a GR yaris motor/transmission/rear end in a GR corolla hatch.
i like your profile picture
I hope I can work for Toyota some day. It’s been a dream of mine for quite some time now.
Never say never, Matt! You can accomplish a great deal if you believe in yourself. We'll be rooting for you! 📣❤️
@@toyotausa In four years when I graduate college will a business management degree, I hope I can start a career with you all!
Can you please consider selling the GR Yaris in America?
No! We want the Corolla hatchback GR.
@@Hernsama Yea, we just need whatever's cool there, here. :D
Are these new turbo engines direct or port injected? The former caused carbon buildup, the latter does not.
They are direct
Wake me up when Toyota develops the 3JZ to dethrone Nissan's VR38 engine.
Just slam a turbo in a corolla and ill finaly buy one
No replacement for displacement u say?
Well lemme tell ya about boost 😏
Put turbo on the tacomas Mike Sweers.
I am fine with just 4-cylinder engine. plus hybrid..
💚
It's too late to add turbos just add electric assistance. No one likes lag
Energy from turbo is not really free, anything added to exhaust flow will decrease the engine perfomance. PMM1 DOES NOT EXIST TOYOTA!
1930s technology that somehow still seems to be incomprehensible to some people. Why.
Only turbo Toyota makes Corolla GR ,Supra GR
Toyota, PLEASE give the 2022 supra a non bmw engine please
Not gonna happen
Lol funny guy

So why talk about forced induction when you don’t have it found on ANY of your cars?
Because they're preparing us for the future.
Toyota used to offer a supercharger for tacomas and tundras..
Turbo V6 will replace Tundras V8 in 2022
So make the new supra have a big turbo in it, and manual
Toyota needs to go electric or it will lose market share as the competition goes all in on electric vehicles.
Make Japanese American American corn
MORE TURBOS? MORE DIESELS? MORE HYBRIDS? toyota…
A step in the right direction 🙀
It’s hinting twin turbo diesel tundra
Where is your solid-state battery tech? Bring on the EV revolution.
What is Toyota saying with these videos??
YARIS GR !?!
I love how my comment deleted. Truth hurts.
Make a Japanese American
Scrape the Supra and add Turbo to the GR86
Can I get a free car please. My 1997 Corolla finally gave up 😔
