Thats honestly my main beef with the 18 is how the arched down the headlights. I dont care for foglights. I feel like if they kept the top half of the front 2017 the bottom half would be fine
A. Rizvanovic nope, cooling is worse in 18-19. That’s why you see 15-17 style front end in the new shelbys.

I feel like the 18 mustang is becoming more of a regular car with weird styling, unlike the 17 mustang which looks angry, ready to kick ass.

The other thing I forgot to mention was the new dash. It looks like the guage cluster on the Challenger. Terrible. I like the older Challengers better also. My Mustang guages have kind of look like the original design. I guess these designers try to change things for the sake of change.

The facelift gives it a cleaner, more integrated look.
Well, personally, I like it. The part that really caught my attention is the shots of that new instrument panel showing "1150 mls to E!" They have REALLY upped the fuel economy on that thing, and it's not even a hybrid! ;-)

I like this better, the head and fog lamps fit a lot more flush into the main body than the previous model. The old ones bulged out or looked like they were brought over from a different design. (I know its supposed be like a fusion)
But these look like they were destined to be there. Just look at the transition they put in the video for the head lamps and you'll see what I mean.

I just bought a fully loaded 17 gt PP. If I had waited another year I could have got so much more for the money. I am trying hard not to be upset. I honestly didn't know they were doing a refresh in '18. :(
Will the 2018 hood fit on a 2017? I like it better because it doesn’t obstruct your view as bad as the 2017.

I have a 2016 Mustang and I prefer the style of it over the new 2018. Big mistake ditching the V6 in my opinion - it's much better than the 4 cyl. I do like the tail lights a little more on the new one, and looks like they are interchangeable with the old but it's one of those things where you'd never know unless the cars were side by side. Not a fan at all of deleting the fog lights... I think the fog lights make the 2015-2017 mustang look much better. And these new headlights almost have a dodge magnum shape. I don't like the lower hood. Interior is basically the same except a screen in place of gauges. Might be annoying at night or when it's really bright having a screen there but it is cool. In short front end sucks, rear end is the same and interior is very slightly better than the outgoing model.
The V6 is not better than the 4 cylinder turbo.
V6 was a great daily driver. 300 horses on 87 octane.
2018 Has much better lines. But there isn't a bunch of difference. I had an 06 GT still loved that car but I like the 18+ better by far looks meaner and faster and it is.
It almost looks like Ford bought a set of Dodge Charger headlight housings. It has the wrap around look to it. I like it though. Especially the digital display, that looks pretty cool, I just hope it's got some amount of customizability to how you want the dials. Like color, font size, and even maybe like removing the center screen to a degree of it just popping up for alerts or warning.

Don't like the new hard lines around the headlights making them within a cavity that extends to the line of the grill opening. Lower lines are too hard and angular. Tailights just have a minor unnecessary extra detail making them busier. It seems they were compelled to do an update and it was minor but a step backwards. I wonder how this will translate to the Shelby GT350 which is the car I would want.
When this releases, someone needs to make a full head light redesign...
i like theses headlights, because it's a tribute to old past mustangs with that curve and the end go down, if you know what i mean, thats the point a didn't really like about the older model

The new rear end with quad exhaust, taillights looks alot better than 15-17 models, front end looks nicer but im not sure about the new hood design though might look worse, other than that 15-17 were ugly anyways so this is much improved.

I have a 2012, I'm more interested in the drive train, seating/interior, and new digital instrument cluster than any changes on the exterior body. I'd love to get all the modern insides put into the outsides of my current Mustang.

I just do not like the hood on a 2018 Mustang, its has been lowered. on a 2015-17 model you get to see more of the hood from the windshield

being kind of a Mustangs purist (kind of)... I like that the new headlight outside corners cut downward now... There was never a Mustangs with chino eyes, Now looks more like a Mustangs and less like a Honda.

I'm a Corvette owner , I have to admit Ford Motor Company Design Team finally nail it with the beautiful 2016-2017 Mustang Design ......unfortunately I can not say the about the wannabe-retrosytle Camaro(2015-2016)......... (Even though it's faster) it still looks like an oversized "HOT WHEEL" toy car.

The 2017 looks better, the difference is very slight, but the change they made to the front bumper of the 2018 actually makes it look damaged, lol. If i bought a 2018, first thing i would do is slap a wide body kit on it, or at least swap out that front bumper for a better styled one.

Ya see... this is why i cant stand those morons that talked all that "ohh it looks like a fusion' nonsense. FACT IS THE FUSION IS A GOOD LOOKING CAR!!!. that said,. the mustang looked fantastic! and it took no time for those idiots to get it. The proof of its brilliant design was shown in the tweeked shelby gt350, which is jaw droppingly hot!. But their was still people out their who thought the car didnt look like a mustang. What it was all about was simply the headlight design. 2014-16 headlight design was exactly where the mustang needed to go. the flanked edge of the headlights arching upwards instead of downwards. The upwards designs produces coherent lines that flow with the rest of the facia as well as the a-pillars and hood design. It produces an aggressive yet bird wing like appearance that works soooo well. it gives the mustang a modern look as well as a bit of class. With the edge arching downwards (as traditionally done) it makes the car look sad. the lines dont flow with the body and in fact the lines clash. Now they have done this in the best way possible, but it makes the car look very rental like. removed the the sports-car look it previously had. NEXT TIME PEOPLE DONT COMPLAIN ABOUT A GOOD THING, NOW FOR 2018+ we got what YOU wanted, a car that once again looks like a snub nose pig!!. thanks!! AFTERMARKET PLEASE HELP!!

DO IT. I went from 2014 V6 to 2015 GT Premium and the difference is night and day. I love my 2015 GT

Emir 300HP is fast but once I switch to a GT V8 I will not regret it I know that for a fact.
Good to hear also another suggestion. Get it in manual My v6 was automatic and the GT is manual and the manual transmission is SOOO much more fun to drive . If you dont know how to drive manual you can learn on your new GT. That is what i did my brother in law drove it from the dealership and then later that day thought me how to drive it in a parking lot and i drove it back home from parking lot.. took a few days to master it but now i dont think ill ever go back to automatic (that is unless there is no manual option)

The Mustang community is an strange bunch. The Fox body guys didn't like the Sn95s, The Sn95 guys didn't like the retro S197s and now most of the S197 guys don't like the S550. I will just have to assume the S550 guys won't like the S650s either. I had 5 Mustang over the past 30 years and notice this trend from a lot, not all mind you, Mustang people. I never had a Camaro, Challenger or Charger so I don't know how they responded to new models.

Am I the only one that cant really see any difference? All I notice is different fog light construction and a very slight shape change on the headlights. Why is everyone freaking out? Everyone said the 15' was the ugliest mustang ever...now everyone wants one. This will be the case for this one as well
The hood slopes way down in front and the headlights are lower that's why, I'm not a fan I like the 15-16 better but eh nothing to worry about if you don't like it don't buy it.

Let's get this straight. Most who don't like it have a 'stang and like it and don't want to want a new one yet. Some are haters because they can't afford it. Some like it and buy it...enough that haters can hate to no avail. Some like it, like me, but it's the least practical vehicle for lifestyle so we just test drive and then buy a truck haha.
