I bought the 2017 after seeing the 2018. I don't care about the minor improvements, couldn't get over the looks. I like the s550 better still. The exhaust was whisper quiet though, but it took less than 400$ parts and labor for me to do a simple straight pipe resonator delete, and swap the stock mufflers with Magnaflow axle back mufflers. Totally transformed the car, absolutely love it. Not too loud but great sounding. Active exhaust would be awesome though.

Great review Mike, I have a 2017 Roush Mustang gt. I like the changes on the 2018. I think as you know you have to drive the mustang to really apreciate what a fun car it is to drive.

That was awesome! I drive a 2010 gt and it sounds ok and the 15-17's were so quiet, this has an awesome roar to it!

yeah but thats nothing the aftermarket can't fix lol my grandpa bought a 2016 GT the very first thing he did I think it was like a week or 2 later was put the rush axelbacks on it and the resonator delete and boy does it sound amazing. I love the fact that it comes with a loud exhaust factory just wish they kept Grabber Blue since I love that color.
They don't have grabber blue? I'm disappointed...with black stripes and black wheels, dream car for me, I have a 2014 f150 5.0 and I put a roush system on it and it's throaty and loud and I love it!
3:30 I think 425hp is for Europe and Asia. 2017 Stang in north America has 435hp. Nice review, keep it up bro! 😁

422 hp in NA on 91 octane fuel. 410 hp in Europe. Ford is the only manufacturer rating their performance vehicles on 93/94 octane. In essence, overrating their cars power...

Sorry car & muscle, but you are incorrect. No other manufacturers rate their vehicles on 93/94 octane. Only 89-91... And in Europe, turbocharged vehicles tend to be a little high, by usually 5-7 hp. NA vehicles tend to be about 10-12 hp less. And, if you read the message I'm sending, it is that in a Apples vs Apples world, 91 octane is the standard, not 93/94.

Old one was rated at 435. The 460 rating is underrated by Ford probably to give a performance gap (on paper/marketing) with the GT350. Dyno tests show the 2018 5.0 GT makes 415-425hp at the wheels, it should have over 490 horsepower at the crank.

I bought a 2018 Mustang GT in 2022. Had less than 40,000 KM on it. Absolutely fantastic. Haven't played with the modes much, but I really enjoy driving it.

I have a 18 Gt 10 speed premium performance package car and I absolutely love it. I totally agree with the front end. Ive thought the front end looked much better but I haven't walked outside every day looking at a 15-17 car.

Ya this is what I expected
I believe Ford could have really went more places with the front end honestly. It looks like a mixture between an Aston Martin and the current dodge chargers (not my cup of tea), now the rear end looks tits money and the retro accented matching overhanging dash tops, it reminds me of my dad's 67 mustang dash. I really wish Ford would try to experiment with an ohv engine because of reliability and space. I'll admit I'm a Chevy guy at heart but I also admire some of Ford's products too. Honestly with Ford being light and having a lot of power the best thing they ever did was going with the irs for better ride comfort, traction, and stability like seen on the camaro and corvettes.
I have to say, I LOVE that the Stang finally got nice LCD instruments, though I wish there was like a way to customize it to one's liking beyond just the select few styles. If only it was like Audi's...but it's a step in the right direction.

Depends on where you live Ernest. If your in a 91 octane state, like many are becoming. The car was rated at 422 hp on 91 and 432 on 93/94 octane. Ford has been playing this " overrate" game off and on since the early 90's. And I hate it.
Well damn lol but still a heck of a ride.
I special ordered my automatic 2018 GT without the mode buttons, since my GT shall never see a race track. I also opted for the traditional gauge display. Somehow, gauges seem more like a traditional muscle car and way easier to decipher. On that note, I found it rather odd to have a digital display and then have the oil and pressure gauges. The all gauge/uniform look was much more appealing to me.
Was waiting for this video for so long. Can't wait for the next video .

Meh. Front end looks like they swapped the American style in favor for European , and the engine bay is nothing but plastic! The rest is nice. More financially realistic, get a 1 - 2 year old GT for way less, and exhaust is often one of the first mods many owners will make.

Absolute perfection in my opinion other than the price. 53k+ for Mustang GT is ridiculous. An average income person can't even afford a Mustang anymore. For a lot of people including myself this is a lifelong dream car that will not be able to be reached because of the price.
There's no way it's 36k for a 2018 Mustang GT base price is 39k . Eco premium is just over 40k

We test drove a 2018 GT premium today and it was an amazing experience. I read the gear box is new for the 2018 and am considering waiting to purchase a 19 to see a years review of this new gear box.

I can't get used to the new front, I think it stinks and could be a deal breaker. It has made the car look smaller too in my opinion.
Also, I HATE that falconi always puts their logo on the bumper.
The dealer logos are very easy to remove, just let the sun warm it up and will come right off.

Actually don't like the dash. Then again I've always hated all forms of digital tachometers and this one is no exception. I'll keep my fancy RGB analog style in my 15' GT all day.
Would gladly take the power bump, but then again I wouldn't sacrifice my car's superior front end looks to get it.

I personally think the front end of the new Mustang is hideous. I have a 2015 Mustang GT and it looks meaner than the new one .my current mustang is my 24th mustang. I am Mustang through-and-through and the new Mustang is ugly love the horsepower increase they needed it because the Camaro ss was faster. I'M not worried about the Dodge challenger its a boat. Honestly the front end of the new Mustang GT is a little too Willy wonka for me.

Whats great is, it a all opinion. Your opinion is that its ugly. But damn, I think its a thing of beauty. I have a 2013 Convertible, and I adore it. But now I am getting a new 2020 GT Convertible and what drew me to it was the GORGEOUS front end. Now fox body mustangs The ugliest pony car i have ever seen. But I also realize its an opinion and not shared by the majority. But damn the new Mustang front ends are sexy.

To me the exhaust on this 2018 Mustang sounds so much better than the AMG C63 with all its obnoxious farting and backfiring sounds.
jkx22 no sorry. For a n/a engine this doesn't sound as good as it should. And amg is no where near as much of a mosquito gas guzzler as the mustang. Its not farting, they are called crackles and they add to the cars muscular and athletic character and persona. ..it gives the car a lot more emotion and excitement..... Which truly suits its name the beast. The crackles are very remenicent to a beast huffing and puffing and are very orgasmic and give you goosebumps. You're welcome ofcourse to have your opinion but I have to disagree completly. Crackles are awesome and give the car so much more character than ones that don't. Its not obnoxious, it doesn't happen all the time 24/7.... no... It happens in a controlled manner whenever you downshift or upshift... Which you can turn off to some degree if you really didn't like it.
So no c63 sounds a lot better overall.
However having said that for the money and only talking about sound alone in that context then I could see why the mustang sounds better. But just raw sound to sound comparison I think c63 is overall better. I respect your opinion but I disagree crackles are amazing. I guess its just a hit or miss for people then.
Hasan Al-habbobi A tractor burbles and crackles and pops, and even more when you straight pipe it. That sounds much like the AMG turbocharged 4.0, and looks like people like you would like it. More agressiveness and brutishness doesn't mean the better. Listen to the Maserati 4.7 or the Aston 4.7 for instance. Those already have a good sound from the engine and the exhaust is only a second-job. Those are the true sounds in my opinion but again yours' may differ and I understand and respect you.
ProjectGenesis I agree with you completely. I've always thought the AMG sounded very "agricultural" whenever I hear exhaust clips here and on other youtube channels. I much prefer V8 cars where the pure raw engine note is front and center.

This is my favourite car , most loved bumper.
Maybe it's different in person, but that gauge cluster and different tachs just seem gimmicky and silly to me.
Luckily for some, it's optional in the premium GT.

How is that gimmiky? I'm sorry but people throw that word around and completely abuse its definition. You are free to not like it thats cool and your opinion but to suggest its gimmicky is absurd. It serves a legitimate purpose and brings a lot of added functionality to the car.1. It allows the car to display a lot more information and take full advantage of all the space.... 2.It is customizable and gives you flexibility that an analog would never be able to match..... You can show what ever relevant information you want to display...and you can customize how it looks astectically to suit your preferences... 3.it makes it easier and more clearer to see information compared to it being analog. And I am not even scratching the surface of advantages. So it clearly provides a lot of convienience and useful features. Not to mention makes the car more drivers focused allowing the driver to display only the relevant information that they need/want.
So its not gimmiky at all. You are free to not like it but to suggest its silly and gimmicky is just not true.

Hasan Al-habbobi gimmicky is an opinion all opinions are true. They may not be facts but they are what someone believes.
As for why it's gimmicky, all the videos have shown is the tach changing from a circle to a long bar to a solid bar. Everything else on the screen in every mode was the same info, nothing new was displayed, nor did they show anything customizable about it in the video. Who cares if you can have the tach displayed three different ways it's just a gimmick to get you to spend more money.
Maybe if they would have shown what else could be customized of displayed on screen I'd find it more interesting. You're free to think it's cool and a great feature, that's you're opinion, but I dot share that opinion.
