- Gaming Pastime reviews Star Wars: The Force Unleashed Ultimate Sith Edition.
Developed and published by LucasArts, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed was released for PC in September, 2009. Star Wars: The Force Unleashed is a decent action game that never reaches its full potential and is marred by some poor design choices.

I remember the hilarious comments back in the day that "PC could never handle this game, that's why we're only launching it on Xbox 360 and PS3". Then it also launched on PS2, PSP and Wii, lmao. Glad we got a PC port eventually, even if it was jank.
PS2/PSP/Wii version is a completely different game. Better in some ways but far lower tech.
Those other versions were a different game.
This is one of my favorite star wars games (together with jedi outcast and dark forces). Love the story and throwing enemies around is very fun. It can be really hard, but the positives outweigh the negatives. The dlc is also very cool.
Spoilers, huh? Don't think you can spoil anything Star Wars related as much as Disney has.
Disney destroyed the franchise
This game bangs. I dream of a remaster, though that’s unlikely i think.
It could happen after all the Wii version has just got a remaster on the Switch.
If you do want a game where you make choices leaning towards light or dark you can play both the Jedi Knight games and Jedi Academy
It still holds up as the best star wars game to me. The flaws are minimal to me to where I'm able to past them and just come back to it time and time again. I just wish it was still canon.
It is. Disney will never be canon
I disagree with you on never feeling like a super powerful Sith thing. Starkiller often pulls off things that would put most force users to shame and you even end up fighting and defeating Vader at the end.
Or the emperor who is even more powerful
in cutscenes and boss battles yet enemies from the start are still equally strong at the end, that's the point he was making if I got it right
Excellent review as always! Could you review the Call of Juarez series?
Thanks!!
The original Force Unleashed is a great tech demo but a decent hack and slash. I think I actually prefer the Wii/PS2 version because of the extra levels and the fact you can swing your Wii remote/Joy-Con around like a lightsaber. The Force Unleashed II fixes some of the gameplay problems, but at the cost of having a story that's half-assed, rushed, and incomplete.
Wii version was all i played as a kid. just felt super sick to swing that shit around and the duel mode was amazing.
I agree on the combo part. Square Square triangle was the spam move for me lol.
You ought to try out the Wii/psp/PS2 version of this game
Honestly the superior version. They are porting it to Switch nowadays
Just started playing this. It's so damn good
I agree that the game is pretty mediocre overall, but it is one of the very few games featuring euphoria physics engine, and also maybe the best one for fucking around with said technology. It never grew old for me to pick up enemies and push them around, move them near other enemies so they try to grab to one another. I also didn't see you holding the force push in the footage, this certainly can feel very powerful. The ps2 version is also really fun, some say it's even better than the ps3/x360 version. Definitely not that impressive in graphics or physics, but the actual gameplay is smoother, and still really impressive with what could they bring out of ancient ps2 hardware.
Great comment . you should have made the review :)
Ahh 2008 just around the time when TCW was fucking the legends timeline in the ass.
Hope vid about 2nd game comes soon.
First! Lol but seriously, I'm planning on getting the switch version and I'm looking forward to that.
All good, as long as you remember it's a different game than what you're seeing in this video.
Same here, had it on the PS2 tho! Hopefully playing the Wii version on the switch should be really fun!
It's good! I've been playing it and they put a lot of effort into remastering the game. Plus, they let you choose between using motion controls or traditional controls for the lightsaber.
I recently retried "The Force Unleashed 1", but i don´t know, this Game didn´t aged well. I remember when i played it on the Xbox 360 back then, i had a lot of fun.
But nowadays i don´t know what exactly it is, maybe it´s the Gameplay or the Graphics, something really bores me to death when i played that Game again. I had much more fun with the PSP Version and it´s amazing additional content.
I still enjoy it. Tossing people around is always fun
The Wii version is way better in basically every way. It recently got ported to Switch if you wanna try it out.
Wii version was fun but, no reverse-grip lightsaber.
This and it’s sequel are 2 of my guilty pleasures. Force progression is great as you continually become more powerfully.
I feel the destroyer pull was a bit out of place , but I really liked the rest of the game.
I give it 4/5 recommend buying it.
Any plans on covering the sequel's Wii version (which was a different game) and the PSP version for this one (Which is the Wii version for this one but with more content)?
Have you reviewed the AC games on your channel?
Nice review. I would recommend to also play the psp or the ps2 versions.
I had much more fun with those ports and they feel a lot better to play.

Review inFAMOUS
Man, I really really hate QTE´s, I´m so glad it´s a dying concept, I was turned off from many titles of this era because of them.
Jedi Fallen Order is the spiritual successor to this. Although I hope one day they will bring Starkiller back.
He will come back in JFO2,at least I believe so.
@@moderndemon84 Him coming back to JFO2 would make Starkiller a canon. I dont think he will. Unless he appear as a different Starkiller.
So I'm seeing a pattern here with steam games. THEYRE ALWAYS MISSING FILES WTF!
Dang, I just refunded the game because it didn't work out of the box.
pc master race....where you need to install stuff from outside the game to get the game to work...
It really sucks that on steam theres no achievements for either the first of second force unleased also maybe im just misremembering but i swear the original xbox 360 verison had stuff the steam verison doesnt
It's not a bad game, but i was really disappointed with it. I expected something like Jedi Academy, but it wasn't as fun. I hate that after enemy parries your sword attack you are send back. I played Jedi Academy a lot of times, but after I've played TFU for the third time i didn't felt like there is any reason to play again. 😢
A game worthy of piracy 😃
This game is awful. Not only is it mind-bogglingly repetitive, but the lock on system is so broken that you will almost always grab something it never intended to. The bosses are bad, the physics are broken and the star destroyer minigame is so bad I shudder just remembering it.
😂😂😂
Yeah, I didn't had much fun playing this game either. I believe there's a lot of nostalgia going on for a lot of people and that's why they still like it. I mean, I liked it too UNTIL I played it again just recently. Just an awful experience throughout the whole game.
@@CatchyJoe I think all people remember is the Darth Vader opening level. Whenever someone defends this game it's like "Oh come on! That Darth Vader level was awesome!"
Too bad it's 10 minutes of the game.
ahh grow up its not that bad come on
+Ghost Well it's ok to be objectively wrong.
Guys I’m gonna be honest. I think he’s bad at the game
Probably!
This is canon and Disney’s canon is not.
