SPAGHETTI WITH HOT ITALIAN SAUSAGE | SPICY SPAGHETTI SAUCE RECIPE

INGREDIENTS:
4-6 links of hot Italian sausage
1 large finely diced onion
1 finely diced bell pepper
8oz finely diced mushrooms
4-5 cloves minced garlic
1 - 28oz can tomato sauce
1 - 28oz can crushed tomatoes
1 small can tomato paste
1 tsp. plus 1 tsp. Italian seasonings
1 tsp. oregano plus
1 tsp. basil
1 tsp. garlic
1 Tbsp. sugar
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
red pepper flakes - add if you want more spicy
olive oil
salt and black pepper
In a skillet on medium heat add oil and hot italian sausage.
Cook and brown on two sides and remove from the pan.
In same pan on medium heat add a little more oil, onions, bell peppers
and mushrooms.
Cook and stir for 5-7 minutes or until veggies soften.
Add salt, pepper and minced garlic. Cook and stir for one minute.
Add tomato paste. Cook and stir until incorporated and starts to turn color.
Add tomato sauce and crushed tomatoes. Stir and bring up to a simmer.
Add 1 tsp. each of Italian seasonings, oregano, basil and granulated garlic.
Add sugar. Add red pepper flakes for more spiciness. Stir to combine.
Place sausage back into pan. Bring to simmer. Cover and cook for 30 minutes occasionally stirring.
Uncover and stir. Add another tsp. Italian seasonings and any other seasonings you may like.
Add in grated Parmesan cheese. Stir to combine. Cover and simmer for another 15 minutes.
Serve with pasta and garnish with Parmesan cheese.

INGREDIENTS:
1 pound spaghetti broken in half - cooked shy of 2 minutes
3 cups cooked diced chicken
2 cups chicken broth
1 cup onions
1 cup bell peppers
2-3 Tbsp. chopped pimentos
8oz Velveeta cheese
8oz shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 cup grated cheese for top
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1 tsp. oregano
4 cloves minced garlic
3 Tbsp. butter
2 cans cream of mushroom soup
In a skillet on medium heat add butter, minced garlic, onions, bell peppers and salt.
Cook and stir for 3-4 minutes and remove from heat.
Cook spaghetti for 7 minutes or just shy of being done. Break in half before cooking.
In a large bowl add cream of mushroom soup, chicken broth and stir.
Add sauted vegetables, pimentos, black pepper and oregano. Stir.
Add cheese and stir. Add cooked chicken and stir.
Place in greased 9 x 13 baking dish and level out.
Bake at 350 degrees Farenheit covered for 30 minutes.
Uncover. Sprinkle with cheese and bake uncovered for an additional 10 minutes.

INGREDIENTS:
2 lbs. ground beef
1 large finely diced onion
4 cups beef broth
1 cup water
14 oz. can tomato sauce
3 Tbsp. tomato paste
3 Tbsp. chili powder
1 tsp. cumin
2 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. red pepper flakes
1/8 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. black pepper
2 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar
1 oz. unsweetened chocolate
Add everything in a soup pot. Stir well until meat granules are fine texture.
Turn heat on and bring to a light simmer and cover
partially with lid.
Cook 1 to 1 1/2 hours stirring occasionally.
ADDITIONAL INGREDIENTS:
Cooked spaghetti
Kidney beans
Chopped onions
Grated Cheddar Cheese
Serve 3 way, 4 way or 5 way on spaghetti OR serve on hotdogs.

Im going to share with you my secret ingredient in my homemade sauce. I learned this from someone who used to cook in a mom & pop Italian restaurant.
He called it Italian MSG. its anchovy filets. You can also use anchovy paste.
When i make homemade sauce, i use a couple of 28 oz cans of crushed tomatoes. I saute the onions and peppers until soft then a couple of anchovy filets and the garlic. Saute for a minute, then i add the salt pepper and herbs and spices. You don't get any hint of the fishy flavor of anchovies like you do when they are on pizza. you just get a deeper richer flavor.
I make Detroit style hotdog chili the same way you made Cincinnati chili. I thicken the chili by adding a can of refried beans. That way you get that bean flavor but you don't really want whole beans on a chili dog.
