no, he called Mr Hewes in the UK to get it started, [ 12:04 ] that is the bloke who shows whistlin how to do things on his tank, which he sold to whistlin a year ago...
You want both of them, because yo will eventally need parts that you will no be able to source in the U.S.. Road wheels, track, hubs, idler arms, etc... also, there is a full walk around inspection to just check your fluids. each hub has an oil sight glass on each wheel. Your engine did't start right away because you didn't empty the water from the fuel from the separator. You also have gear boxes to check near each sprocket.... You need a UK version of a operators manual for both the driver's hatch and turret. Be careful with paint chips on that tank, it is called CARC paint and you don't want to inhale dust from it if you decide to sandblast it to repaint it . (I'm an Armored Reconnaissance Specialist who served from 1994-2000 with the 1st Armored Division, and a stint in the Kansas Army National Guard in Wichita)
In the UK when these were done with service the army sold them with deactivated guns for a couple of grand, in perfect working order so people just bought them. After they started falling apart people just left them where they broke down so it's not overly uncommon to just see tanks on farms rotting away

There’s a video from eight months ago where some Brits came to America to fix these. They were both broke down in fields. The one that runs, they changed the gear so act out and also fix the electrical problems in the fuel leak. That’s why it runs so good and moves. The other one ingested a lot of water in the air cleaner, went through the supercharger and locked up the motor. They went to Pennsylvania and a guy had motors and gear boxes and they left a video at that saying that they were going to ship the parts down to get the non running tank fixed. I’m guessing the owner gave up on it and didn’t wanna pay to get it fixed by those British guys.
You are referring to Mr Hewes - has a channel showing the work he does restoring Tanks and the like - the Chieftain with a seized engine died because water got into the airfilter - no one did any ist parade checks and all that water was then pumped into the engine resulting in a hydraulic lock - engine needed replacing, no way Mr Hewes could do that in a different country with a bag of spanners.

So you did not end up buying it, I just saw Mr hews new video and it looked like some other guys acquired them
for those wondering, the tanks shown at 1:18 It looks to be a Chieftain tank using a Conqueror as target practice, at 2:598 its a leopard 2a7 I believe, The tanks also seem to be mk10s, due to the armor addon packages on the turret
This is awesome I saw these on marketplace, also surprised to see them here in the tube
Pretty sure these are the tanks that @MrHewes went to go look at/work on a couple years ago.
100%
The guy with the tanks. “I lost both of those tanks in a boating accident”
