I have never tried it. I've never considered vinegar eels to be a primary food for trying to get them breeding more efficiently. Though, it is an interesting idea! I may try it and will share results if any. Thank you!
They are pretty tiny as it is. I have hard time finding them in my relatively small aquariums. I would need a magnifying glass for watching them if I get them smaller 😂 I am still working on getting a decent size colony to do any experiments. Love them!
For the first time hearing about vinegar eels
There is always first time for everything 😁Vinegar eels a nice and simple live food to have - basically, always ready when you may need them.
Have you ever tried transitioning vinegar eels to a more "solid" media, like steamed oatmeal or starch for the sake of more intensive breeding?

You should try to selectively breed the least killifish to make an ultra dwarf Pygmy fish once you get more Formosa 🥶👌
