I hope everyone appreciates how highly talented this guy is. He is flawlessly replicating a beat that was programmed with multiple tracks into a drum machine. His ability to switch groove hands flawlessly when he needs to do cymbal fills or cow bell is stuff many people that consider themselves pros can't do. This guy is insanely talented.
This kid should be signed to a label and have drum companies begging him to play on their kits. Its just a matter of time. Lets just see it happening while we are still here
Drummers are incredible! To separate the limbs to do different things & keep it all together is an amazing feat. On top of that, this guy is replicating a programmed drum MACHINE!
That’s why I am here saying WTF, I program drum machines, and it takes a couple machines and much thought to make a great beat. I watched metal drummers for years to be a better programmer, and watching this excellent lad duplicate a drum machines performance crosses the paradigm. The difference between a man and a machine is shrinking day by day. Jaki Leibzeit from the band CAN, was the first to start the blur of, what is uhhhh, approaching perfection in dynamics? I’m only 52, and I love percussion! Could not play a kit to save my life, but I strive to sound like a couple real drummers, machines, properly used, are badass. Ask Phil Collins. Its not a war, its an alliance! Percussion everything rules!
@@markfish8403 Two way street, homie. DJ Shadow and Roni Size really changed the way I see and understand rhythm, and it has effected how I play drums entirely for the better. Keep doing what you're doing. Some drummer will hear your work and have an aha! moment. 😁
Man, the nostalgia in this song. Gotta respect the multitasking in drumming, my left side would be completely clueless to what the right side were doing
You don't understand. He's doing all by himself what the producers of the song mostly programmed on a machine. So, it's not impressive. It's brilliant.
Adding this to our setlist for next summer: We were looking for inspiration to rock up the drums and came across this video! Blown away is a MILD understatement!!! RESPECT FOR THE CLICK!! We used to not play the click because it was "just too hard..." guess not, eh?!!! High (HIGH) bar to hit. Made us laugh along with all the other durmmers who've left it out, including us. Guess we got some work to do! We've had this video looping in the kitchen all weekend (alternating with the official one) and everybody who saw it was blown away. This video is an absolute delight and we hope SnP (also our moniker!) dig it too! Music brings us together wether we like it or not; and we're so old we're from the time when most people WANTED to share and grow together as a nation and as human beings. Miss those days for sure but music is still working it's magic. ROKKON! \m/
When my daughters were young they asked us how we danced because in the 80s there wasn't any dance music and this is the song that I showed them as well as Africa bombada. Lol
It's not really creative it's almost a carbon copy of the original. The original was done w a drum machine and this guy just destroys, playing that shit in perfect time, when he hits the stack and cowbell with the poly rhythm that mf cymbal catch constantly all the way through, the guys just a cool ass drummer and I'm sure creative asf,but in this instance he is copying the original drum part and still giving it an organic feel. Awesome.
I think I just watched this cat play drums for Pinkpanthress while opening for Olivia Rodrigo. Who knew I would be in for some of the most talented drumming at such a concert? Taking percussive creativity to the next level. Hats off my man!
I don’t comment on YT very often. That was fkn amazing. Everything about it was mesmerising-powerful, crisp, funky, original, great use of acoustic instruments to replicate digital sounds. So fun to watch. Hats off, sir!
I keep watching this video trying to figure out how your brain works! Simply masterful that you can stay in the pocket with the beat, but play all the syncopated percussion parts too!
I don’t know how I stumbled across this video but I’m glad I did. I never realized listening to this song as a teenager just how much went into the drums on this since the video of the song just showed Salt N Peppa along with Spinderella . I’ve got a new found appreciation for whomever came up with this beat. New follower
"Who was your favorite drumming inspiration growing up?" Sam- "never got to meet him; never even got his last name. Just some dude with solid time named Roland..."
Wow! That was a bad ass cover of this song!!! love how he effortlessly switched back-and-forth with both hands between cowbell, and that weird crash symbol; loved how he choked up the crash all through the song as well. But let me tell ya…. I’ve gotta fever….. and the only prescription… Is more cowbell! 😂😂
Impresionante. No puedo dejar de verlo en bucle. No entiendo de música y siempre pensé que la base era puro sintetizador. Estoy viendo otros covers de la misma canción pero están a años luz de este chico. Un jodido genio.
Bro, I played drums and toured a bit for 10 years nothing serious, never nearly as good as urself, my drums sit in the basement collecting dust, but god damn I love how simple and smooth you are I love it, it’s inspiring, im a bit drunk right now but god damn im getting my drums set up again

Agreed! Why this dude isn't setting internet on fire is beyond me

He s alright this fella isn't he...😮
that was the first thing I immediately noticed he switches from right to left-hand and does not miss one beat .''''flawless victory .!
48-year-old checking in to say that I was a drummer when this jam dropped and I'm a drummer now and DUDE THAT WAS FLAWLESS WOW
Can't get enough of the cow bell.. 👍
Needs more cowbell lol buddy is killing it mf good ass drummer
I have a sickness and the only cure is more cowbell! This young lad is an ACE! 🤩
The cow bell takes it over the top!!! 😎
What a pleasure it is to see a drumer play like that.
Im 49 now and have loved this track since it came out.... This guy has just blown me away with his awesome talent on an awesome track.
Me2
Yesss. 1973
46. This guy blows my mind. I've been into this song since about 87, 88.
This guy and El Estepario Siberiano...two drum MACHINES!!!

This is one of the Best drum Covers to grace RUclips. This guy Amazing.
Man, the nostalgia in this song. Gotta respect the multitasking in drumming, my left side would be completely clueless to what the right side were doing
Never thought so much went in to the drums on this song, very impressive
I’m pretty sure the drum beats were originally done on a drum machine.
@@parkercarter3917 Even more impressive then!!

@@tomcarl8021yes he is the drum machine! I'm super impressed
Wow…! This is a pretty “busy” song from a percussion standpoint ( especially just 1 person ) But, he has proven it can be done. Bravo! 👏
Never stop making these videos
Now it's time for him to get paid for the videos to continue
I never cease to be astonished by how unutterably tight this guy is... and yet not mechanically inert... it's just so damn ON IT.

The drumstick chipping at 3:06. 🤓 Just amazing to see this level of talent.
That stick barely made it through the song! That jagged china eats sticks I'm sure
I'm 52 and man I really appreciate this guy talent
When my daughters were young they asked us how we danced because in the 80s there wasn't any dance music and this is the song that I showed them as well as Africa bombada. Lol
Octopus Galaxy Brain
You are one of the best drummers on U Tube. Great Work.

Its like at the end of Napoleon Dynamite when he absolutely kills it with his dance routine
Here because of the reel. This cover RULES. The intricacy is so impressive, kudos.
This is some Sugarfoot type tightness. Incredible.

This video is highly underrated
As a child of the 80's, this is awesome!
the best drum cover for Push It by Salt and Pepper....no doubt!
World Class
Wow just wow. Super tight and accurate cover. Impressive
damn, all those swaps on the snare, mesmerizing
This was already one of my favourite beats but now I have an all new appreciation for it! Unreal!
Homeboy deeper in the pocket than that coin buried in the corner seam that is impossible to get out.
This is one of the most amazing playing that I have ever seen 🔥🔥🔥
Dude you killed it! So good!
stop it! he murdered this!
Tasty! As a drummer born in the 80s and big hip-hop fan, I give this my whole-hearted approval!
Dam this is tight... Keep play those drums like you do.👍
Perfect fucking timing with the symbols, the way he grabs them
Somebody stop him 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥💃💃❤️😘
This is my new favourite RUclips channel
I keep watching this video trying to figure out how your brain works! Simply masterful that you can stay in the pocket with the beat, but play all the syncopated percussion parts too!
The world atomic clock sets itself by syncing with you.
Instant stank face with a hit on the slap symbol. Love it
Couldn't possibly be more in the grove! A true grove master right here!
What an absolute practitioner
Tiktok brought me here!
Im telling my kids Roland took the idea for the 808 from watching this guy play drums. Amazing job!
WOW this dude is the human sampler!!!
Never seen a living drum machine.
He's working that cowbell😊
I don’t know how I stumbled across this video but I’m glad I did.

Big fan of all your videos but I always come back for this one, amazing.
This dude is sick with it.
Tiktok brought me here! Soooo good!

Some of your techniques, and sound, reminds me of Michael Jackson's drummer.
Amazing.
He's the truth! Immense talent. Man I envy you!!

Ohh damn with these old skool beat being on the real! You about to exposed. DOPE!
Great co-ordination
Astounding
TikTok sent me here!
Incredible
This has to be one of the best background tracks to any rap song ever
That was unbelievable and the stink face towards the end was absolutely warranted. Keep pounding dem drums my man.
This is amazing, even more to know the original was conceived on a drum machine, not classical drums
And I thought Peter Piper was sick. Damn dude nice work. Looking forward to seeing what’s next.
