Pharma Drama is here to help you pass a PharmD, MPharm or Life Science degree with the best grade possible! How? By explaining key concepts simply and clearly! You'll find loads of videos in the Science Simply Put series that look at individual concepts, each discussed with clear language in an engaging, easy-to-follow way. Oh, there also loads of revision tips and career advice too!
All aspects of medicine design are covered, from preformulation characterisation through to advanced medicine design and manufacture. There are loads of videos available with new topics being uploaded every week. And if there's something you don't understand and you'd like a video on it, leave a comment and we'll see what we can do!
What's an acid? Solubility and dissolution - the same or different? What's in your tablets and how are the made? Why do some medicines come in capsules and others in tablets? Why some products you can buy off-the-shelf and others you need a prescription? These are some of the topics we'll help you understand.
We'll also look at other exciting stuff... Should you take probiotics and why? Can I 3D print my own medicines? My leg's fallen off, what should I do? OK, maybe we won't cover that, but if it's NEW and EXCITING then we'll explain it to you. Simon is a Professor of Pharmaceutics at University College London - he teaches all aspects of medicine design and runs a large research group 3D printing medicines, uncovering the science of probiotics and all sorts of other cool stuff! He's appeared on many TV shows (Trust Me I'm a Doctor, Food Unwrapped, The Tonight Show, Secrets of Your Supermarket Foods among others) and loves being in front of a camera!
