Apple refers a customer to me for a repair, but I can't fix it because they won't let me!

- Same situation I made 2 other videos on. Customer has an iPhone X that's bootlooping due to a bad earpiece flex. They took it to Apple, and an honest Apple employee told them, verbatim, "It's probably just a cable. But we can't fix this here, a repair shop should be able to get it to work again, try bringing it to SALEM TECHSPERTS." Well guess what? I can't repair it because Apple won't give me the software to reprogram the $3 part that is causing the phone to brick itself. This situation is so disgusting that a child vomits in Subway.

@@FQP-7024 We have already met, he came to my shop in September. My early, (badly edited) video "Introducing Myself" has the story. He's the reason I started this channel. Great guy. Just as genuine as he appears on RUclips.

same with me, i refuse to touch an apple product, did it a while ago, fixed a mac, and the apple store tried to sue me for fixing/upgrading someone's PC. because yes, they are PCs.
so that's a good excuse. guys, your terminal is defective, I sell you a proper computer / phone instead, or pay your apple tax and get scammed.

Apple refers to my friend for notebook repair. Now they want to send him phones to repair and he is not an authorized repair shop for them.
Only one thing comes to mind: Why? Apple, why?.

it's fetishizing a brand. apple users are like this. «oh no it's broken / oh no i have to pay again / oh no it deleted my library ... but i will buy a new one because ah think diffrent»

Working for a large retailer that does Apple certified iphone repairs, I always hate how fast the repair actually is but because we have to remove the old adhesive and place new adhesive, then run all the configurations, that always what makes the repair time last longer

Unless I was a VAR or it's one of my own Macs, I rather not fix iPhones, iBooks and iMacs. Personally I still use OS 7.5.3 when I'm on my Mac, 8.6 on the PowerPC, Windows and Ubuntu run my other rigs, and yeah this would only be for flex but due to time and neglect my old Atari 800 is no longer with us, it was the entire setup, a family member of mine knew Bushnell and he had a complete rig sent to me on my 4 th birthday, i learned how to program on that.
There are emulators for the Atari

you can just replace it and replace the front camera just tell the customer that face id wont work anymore... at least the customer will have a hone that turns on and works for the most part...
