It's his natural accent, I believe. Ellis used this accent for the first episode of the first season. But they changed it in the next episode to the one we're more familiar with.
When i remember correctly they wanted him to do an amarican accent for luzifer he even trained for that but then he thought it foes not fit and the regissur and he had a talk about that and now luzifer has this toned down britisch accent but he used the amarican accenthe trained on michael to differentiate the two better and maybe as an easter egg (dunno) But tom ellis was born and raised in england i belive so of cause the britisch is more natural for him and he can play around with it better
oh and i dont think he sounds that diffrent he speaks a bit more flamboyent and therefore a little higher and he toned the accent down probaply for better understanding but its the same voice its slightly diffrent but not that much

they probaply noticed towards the last 3 episodes that its is to rushed at least that how it feels watching it i mean chloe forgets about her daughter at one point compleatly for the sake of that plot ..maybe that when they noticed
That was a great musical episode, probably the best I've ever seen on a show because it wasn't overbearing with just non stop music interruption but rather just enough to entertain and keep the storyline intact! I love it and had quit a few laughs as well!! Great job 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾
Was a cheerleader in college in the 80's and laughed so hard when I first saw this. We totally had a half time dance routine to this song! Love this show and sad to hear it's the last season.

it's quite entertaining to read all the 'the show is unwatchable' or 'this is against my faith' comments. if there is something like a creator of our universe, then i surely do hope, that this entity is able to enjoy him/herself and have fun with our phantasy and imagination. otherwise his/her creation would be an incredible waste of time and space
I mean, "I created you with knowledge, imagination, creativity, and free will, but if you use any of that to talk about anything that I don't like, you're going to hell to be tortured for eternity" is a common religious basis in Western religions...

I think Marvel just did a deal with Tom Ellis But Lucifer is a DC character I want them to bring in Constantine to the show this cast is great. DC must own DC universe studio so they can have complete control over everything they own they should buy John Wick and the Ninja turtles
