Thanks so much for tuning in! 🙏🏻
Amazing video, like always. From Belize
Have you ever thought of geting a trolling motor on the bigger boat
Can't wait to make my way to Key West. Been living in Southwest Florida for a a dozen years. Love to fish the middle grounds or elbow in the Gulf of Mexico -= but have NEVER been to Key West. I need to get down there and fish and/or spear with Mr Aaron Young. Thank You very much for all of the wonderful content and your 'Hippy' attitude . It is a refreshing change from the typical 'red neck' for lack of a better term fisherman that one regularly encounters. 😎✌
MONDAY= Keys & Clams FTW!!
Haha thanks for tuning in
I just want to tell you how much we appreciate you. Your videos are kick ass, you only take what you eat and you are humane when you harvest the fish. Also, only taking one claw with the Stone crabs. We live on Sugarloaf and we know not all do as you do. Thank you so much for being a good human ❤️😘💪🏼
can't thank you enough for the kind words! keeps me going 🙏
hey dibs, i just hope you know how relaxing your videos are for me. they are my go to when feeling anxious, or needing to chill out....just something about being underwater...thank you so much!
Makes it all worth while for me 🙏🏻
Seriously. I chill to this channel as well. No drama, hype or vain fashion-wear ads.
Very true.
You have to be be very very quiet when hunting stone crab, those wrasclely crabs, great video thanks for letting us tag along 👍👍😎
😂
I think I like the 3rd person view better than the 1st person. The shots of you going in the holes and pulling out and juggling crabs is pretty amazing! Agree with below, feels like I'm swimming along with you!
Happy accident. Haha glad you enjoyed it
Always a good day when your videos pop up
🙏🏻
I can’t get enough of your shows.
really love to hear that!
Aaron, when I grow up I want to live like you and Ol Cookin Clam! The choices I made when I was your age lead me down a totally different path, but if I could have the choice again I'd do it like Key West Waterman. Ms Paddlin Madalyn is a blessed young lady!
its a lovely life I won't lie! thanks for tuning in.
Great video, I love your drone shots. Those were some bodacious claws, stone crab has such sweet meat. Thanks so much for sharing, I look forward to Monday's at six PM!
glad you enjoyed it, thanks for coming along 🙏
Looks Delicious as Always.... And Madeline's" Mermaid Hair" is So Beautiful !!! You're a Blessed Man !!!
I wont argue that!
Hey Aaron. I was happy to see you only taking one claw. Although, Florida allows both claws… if they are legal. When you look at the mortality statistics of Stone Crabs with both claws removed, I don’t know why Florida allows it. However, it shows how much you look at the big picture by the way you treat our environment. Keep it up. You have much to be proud of.
I don’t know why, but lobster and diving for crab videos make me fall asleep every time….. lol not that they’re boring, just it’s so peaceful. It’s weird because spearfishing videos don’t do that.
haha too funny
Stone crabs. Man, I will have to work on getting confident enough to pluck them like you. You make it look easy.
haha is a little nerving
You are by far my favorite youtuber and the vids just keep getting better and better. Me and the wife are always watching you guy's live the dream.
really love to hear that! 🙏 and we are trying!
Bro im 3 min in.... the video unerwater is tremendous! Far better than GoPro
Glad you liked it!
That crab looks absolutely delicious.
Never get old!
Nice vid as usual. Good to see Mr Clams back too. Cheers from Ireland.
thanks for coming along!
Hunt-gather-eat... makes total sense...Kudos Aaron
thanks for tuning in!
Third person is awesome! All your videos are great but that was really cool! You keeping only one claw is so respectful, I know you can keep them both.
thanks for tuning in!
Can't wait to get into some of those claws!! Thanks for sharing!
thanks for watching!
Enjoyed….grabbing the stone crabs brings back great memories living in Clearwater Beach, diving the ledges nearby….and massive stone crab feasts! Thx, Andrew
Haha glad you enjoyed it. Always good fun
Thanks for putting in the extra time and effort to include drone footage. Well done as always.
glad you hear its appreciated 🙏
I love when you eat outside so we all get to feel like we're there!!! Thank you. Keep filming and we'll keep watching!!!❤
🙏
Another Great Video!!! Keep them coming Aaron!!! Thank you. A
Thanks! Will do!
Aaron I enjoyed the new camera view it reminded me Jacques Cousteau from the 1970's. I also might suggest to have a floating camera that is on the surface facing down maybe on a line from your boat floating above you.. And used like the Arial drone you use for above views while you are harvesting shell fish. Just a humble suggestion. Giving us a surface view while you are in 5 to 6 feet of water like in this video. You are clearly skilled at fishing those crabs out and I like that you take great care in removing the produce (one Claw). Like when you sit the camera down on the bottom and we see you doing your work, and this video is really cool with the new camera. You all Rock.
glad you enjoyed it! and the surface came is almost impossible to achieve, wake action. drifting out of frame. it never seems to work properly.
Was shoveling snow here in Tahoe a couple of weeks ago and a bystander noticed my shirt, he said he loved your vids.
haha thats amazing love to hear it!
So glad to see another video for my favorite fisherman
glad you enjoyed it!
Awesome having the camera standing and watching you do your thing. Great video as normal love watching Aaron.
glad you enjoyed it!
I liked those angles, glad you forgot the anti-fog spray. 🤣 The drone shots coming in were awesome also!
haha happy accident
So cool that you can harvest by detaching a claw and then returning the crab alive and with one claw remaining and for it to grow back. This is sustainable harvesting at its finest.
yea pretty wild, the only thing you can harvest down here without killing the host.
Hey man, I imagine a giant walking in my street.. grabbing me in my house and ripping one of my arm off and then putting me back in nice and cozy saying " don't worry it will grow back!" 🤪🤣🤣 nice harvesting those crabs! Hey man your footage was impeccable with that 3d person cam! 👌
Lol. Better than eating me whole i suppose 🤷🏼♂️ glad you enjoyed it!
The dynamic duo! The key west water clams! Back at it! 🤙🤙
haha thanks for tuning in!
Keep them coming brother, I was finally able to purchase my own gheenoe Looking for some fun times ahead. All thanks to you.
more on the way! and congrats!
This is the first time ever watching your videos that I’m not jealous!!! Main reason why is because my family from Big Pine came and brought me some stone crab claws, it not then I would be really jealous right now! Pleas keep up the great work!
haha too funny!
Does anyone else want to buy Aaron and Mads a picnic table? They sooo need one. And I hope you did well with your showings Mad
haha all in good time! we still have lots of projects down there
Imagine you are at home minding your own business, someone comes in the door, takes you outside, takes one of your arms, then pushes you back in. Love the view with the camera setup! You are not trying to let the crabs aware of your presence, when you reach in what are you grabbing? Always making Mondays great! What did Clams do? All dressed up just looking for girls passing by?
they will go deeper in the hole alot of times if they see you coming, depends on the crab. and typically trying to get behind them and scoop them out. I try not to crab a claw unless I know for sure it's legal because they can release their claw from my experience. and hate to do it to a short claw.
@@KeyWestWaterman wait the crab just gives up the claw like a wallet or purse?
Loved the angles and mobility way more! I feel I’m with you and not just your perspective. Dude and you were fighting that current. Great video!❤
Glad you enjoyed it
This channel is great! I moved out of Ft. Lauderdale 23 years ago. The only things I miss about Florida is going to the keys and offshore fishing….. if I wanted to live in Florida, it’d have to be somewhere in the keys. I just visit now.
glad you enjoy it!
You’re one of my favorite channels, footage is always so well done and interesting. Looking forward to next week’s
🙏 thanks for coming along
I dig the 3rd person shots. Really shows the current and wave action you have to fight to do what you do.
was a happy accident, love how they turned out.
Good video. Catch and devour with three folks who obviously enjoy each other's company.
thanks for watching!
Wow, great video that brings back quite a few great stone crab catching memories. It's been about 40 years since I have actually caught my own but as a teenager we used to do really well. Miss those times. Once I returned to the state of Florida after a 5 year absence I became less of a fan of Florida shellfish. Stone claws, florida lobster, florida blue crab, oysters.. Something about the warm Florida waters or their forage but they really lack the rich flavor of shellfish caught in cooler northern waters. Anyone else agree or disagree with my observation.
I wont argue that the north hold some real delights!
The third person view was a fun change, but I think I still like the first person more because it lets me lock in more on whatever you are looking at. Both are great, and you should go for whatever is easiest to keep the awesome content coming! This comment is mostly for the algorithm 👍👍
Appreciate the feedback! Was just a happy accident both are easy to film. Thanks so much! 🙏🏻
Awesome video as always!! Keep up the good work!
thanks for tuning in
I am watching your video on the crew boat , taking me to the dive site in the bay of fundy . I am a surface supplied diver and work in 160’ . My water is low vis and March is the coldest month . Snow melt . Your video brings joy to my life thanks for posting , and if you ever loose your mind and want to come up North , look up grand manan and we will spear some bass and gather big scallops
thats wild! some serious work right there, love to hear you enjoy the vids. stay safe up there 🙏
I never need to see the title..just a notification and I’m there 🔥🔥🔥🔥
haha love to hear it!
You are such an insperation to the fishing industry, always learning something everytime my kids and i watch your videos contents are awsome.Always looking foward for the next..keep up the awsome work Dibs
really love to hear that 🙏
The ocean view from the drone is amazing! And the crab looks absolutely delicious!!
glad you enjoyed it! thanks as always for tuning in!
Thanks Aaron I love when you do bayside videos even more than the deep water stuff( love that too) not many people are teaching us that the bayside has its advantages as well. Keep up the great work my man, love the channel !
lots of goodies out there as well! glad you enjoyed it!
Amazing how you take a scenario where you forgot something for filming yet still made an incredible video
so glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for sharing. Perfect way to end my night.
🙏
Hey, Aaron 👋 Another beautiful day in paradise! I love being under the sea with you hearing the natural sounds; so relaxing. Except, I am always scanning looking for sharks 🦈😂 Drone footage was amazing! I liked the view from the GoPro however, seems more difficult for you. Nice to see Will & love how Madeleine jumps right in for lunch! Girl after my own heart. Have a Blessed Day! 🤿 🦀
so happy you enjoyed it, thanks for coming along as always 🙏
The new camera view is pretty cool where you sit down your camera and then go after the crabs. I think it's kind of cool recommended highly it's a different perspective. Hope that helps
glad you enjoyed it, happy accident
Bro the lawn is looking LUSH!!!! 👍🏼
haha right!
Love me some stone crab claws. Then some Dungeness. I go to Alaska every other yr. You can keep the king and snow crab. Stone wins the throne baby.
haha they def are delish!
Nice to see you've got a drone again!
haha right
Awesome video, love the different camera angles. As I was watching I thought that if you ever entered a lion fish spearing contest you’d crush it.
Haha glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for another day in the life. What a place to explore. Good to see the man with a clam.
thanks for coming along 🙏
Peaceful,easy, living,thats what I like to see''

haha glad you enjoyed it!
Woohoo another episode!
Thanks for tuning in!
thanks my brother!!
🙏🏻
Love the videos! Your patio spot doesn’t suck either
its lovely!
Love this third person DJI presentation. Must be a bit of a pain, but it is an enjoyable view. 👏👏
Yum nice setting as always
thanks for watching!
Just before they moult, they extract a lot of calcium from their shell, which makes it quite brittle, and then they take in a load of water to start to swell up to moult, and that's why the meat gets spongey... great video as usual Aaron.
thanks for the info!
Very cool, thanks for posting.
Love the footage!!!
love to hear it
cool to see u and Will in the video.. tomorrow will be cooking with clams, featuring KWW.. 👍. ur dog is adorable.
haha thanks for tuning in!
@@KeyWestWaterman anytime....
Hey Aaron, great video! Personally I like it when you narrate the dives!
I normally do, just was a little busy during this edit didn't have time. thanks for tuning in!
This is a nice change of perspective, both first and third are good though. You are good at pulling those crabs out of their dens. Thanks for taking us along.
glad you enjoyed it! 🙏
Great video Dibs! Personally, I think you’re a little crazy doing this bare handed but what an awesome video. I think the 3rd person worked really good for this type of dive.
Love how you always talk the talk on only taking what you need and only taking 1 claw.
Your dog sniffs food as well as mine. Lol
Love Madeleine’s 5 second rule.
was happy with how it turned out! happy accident. glad you enjoyed the video 🙏 and she is something else haha!
Fantastic meal, I can't even imagine
so good!
I have never been clamped on by a Stone Crab. The hand shaking said it all. You're tougher than me. Another beautiful video.
haha just hurts for a little bit
Another outstanding video. Loved the (3rd person video) it gave a better prospective . And the spear shaft to hold up the grill over the fire. 😊. Awesome afternoon.. it's what life is about. Simple with good friends.
glad you enjoyed it! haha 🙏
3 rd person view works well for stone crabbing 👍good stuff
Happy with how it turned out!
Great idea with the dive weight attached to your camera stand. Provided nice camera angles and looks like it held up to the current. Between that and the boarding plank set up for your Ghee, you're a regular Robinson Crusoe! Awesome content!
haha gotta make do
Wow, needed this video after today's events. Good job guys 😊
thanks for tuning in sam!
A perfect video in the Florida Keys. Looks like an amaizing life to live. Your videos always put me in the best of moods.
It’s a lovely life i won’t lie!
European crustations at least are ""soft or spongy"" after they shed hence the thin shell they thicken it over the time till they shed next , the reason they are spongy is because they fill their own meat with water to inflate the size they are before they ""set"" the new shell, again only talking for cold water species but we have to wait 3-4 weeks after they shed before they are worth eating .
thats wild! love learning, thanks for sharing
Another great video love the little boat videos
Glad you like them!
I find myself holding my breath as if I’m there too. Great time with you today!
haha glad you enjoyed it
Welcome back under water boys and girls
Haha thanks for tuning in
Thank you sir
Thanks for tuning in!
You make it all look to easy. One thing for sure, you will never go hungry. 🙌🏼👍🏻
haha
When I grow up, I want to live like you.
you can do it!
So much self control from Tipsy there at the end ;)
haha
Awesome video. Those Stoneys are making me hungry!
😂😂😂 ohhh the “pirate” jokes we could say about him! But you as always are super nice!❤
😂
You living the dream dude
I am trying!
Another amazing one awesome job brother
thank you
Another cool video Aaron. We used to hunt for stone crabs as kids but were not as graceful as you, have been pinched many times. On a previous video you mentioned only taking one claw but i saw a video recently from a professional stone crab guy in Miami explaining how it is better to take both claws if legal as crabs with only 1 claw get in more battle and lose/die. Also noted if you can only take one claw try not to take cutter claw as it is what they primarily use to eat. Also said if both claws are gone they can eat without them. He showed several 1 claw crabs in his pots who dies, apparently from fighting with the other crabs in the pot. Makes sense to me.
Instagator
glad you enjoyed it! and I just go with what I see and observe. I never find crabs with no claws, I often find crabs with one. I understanding the fighting thing but if a crab with no claws crawls into one of their traps, theres no way it has a better chance than a crab with one claw. I've done a little bit a trapping here and there, and it wasn't common to find crabs killing each other in traps. but thats just my findings.
