I strongly agree with your input on unlimited tempering as long as you have the materials I wish blizzard would fix this ASAP! because getting rolls that you don’t want for your specific build and hitting the max rolls is so frustrating.

They have made itemization so much better now, sure it needs improving still but man this is the best step they have taken, thought the game was dead but this definitely brought it back to life, glad they changed and added all this.
Yeah Season 4 was by far their best - I just hope they can come up with new things to do in the game going forward that isn't the same Dungeons and Enemies just called something different. Right now The Pit is the same as NMD - same tilesets and same enemies and bosses. Nothing really "New" other than a Name change. Outside of that, the game is definitely in a state that it should have been Day 1.

Yes, the Tempering is the new swapping mechanic BUT only if you have available Tempers Left on that Slot. It's basically the same as before only this time it's limited and way more streamlined. No more Extracting Items in your Inventory or storing things for Aspects later on.
If I apply a masterwork upgrade and only then apply Tempering, will the tempering retroactively gain the 5% or 25% upgrade? (I don't have the resources or level to test it at the moment). Thx!
Yellows become Legendaries as you Temper them - Tempering them will turn them in to Legendaries just like how it used to be with Aspects prior to Season 4. As you get into WT4 and start grinding Pit and NMD I typically Sell my Yellows and Craft on Legendaries. Hope that helps!
I think the reason to this is due to your item that you're trying to craft on to has reached its maximum rolls / rerolls for Tempering. Once this happens, the item(s) are greyed out. That's the only thing that comes top of mind when reading your situation. Try adding another Net New item in the slot to test and validate.
No you don't need to assign Skill Points to the tree to gain Tempering benefits such as +1 or +2 to Tough as Nails. As an example, you can refund those points and reallocate them on the tree once you gain Bonus Crafting Tempers. Make Sense?
That's how many You have Found. What happens is when you find an Aspect on a Legendary and those numbers are higher than your previous one of that Recipe then it gets replaced adding to the number you've found. Once it reaches the Max the Color of the Recipe will change to Yellow and now be classified as a Rare Recipe.
Ok. Cool. So it ranks up essentially . so im guessing the higher the number the better the stats when you imprint an item. With 16 being the best outcome on stats?

They placed the Refund Button for controller users in the worst spot - I actually didn't even know it was there until way later. KBM users have a different UI and their Reset Button is right next to the Tempering where it should be for Controller users.
Yeah there would be no point in even having tempering if there were no rolls. I do think we should have more than 5 chances for 2 of them tho, and maybe make it less likely to land on the same temper twice in a row
They could let you pick and you reroll for better/ worse percentages. Tired of getting perfect roll on an item only to not hit the tempering I need/want.
I am so angry cos I lost 3 excellent pieces of Gear cos of Stupid Tempering system. Damn it took so long and hard work to find the very good pieces and now its all gone. hmm
Tempering becomes available as soon as you unlock the Blacksmith and get one or more Tempering Manuals. You will then be able to use the manuals to register them as recipes inside your Codex of Power and start tempering items.
Ancestral gear gets 2 tempering it’s not by gear level. Good vid tho

No, unfortunately, it will cost you more materials and gold to reset the the ranks.

Yeah I'm not a fan of the Limited Rerolls. I've bricked so many good items. Least favorite part of the new crafting is the limited Rerolls.
