That 321XLR is an absolute game changer. Bet the airlines that have ordered them can't wait to get their hands on them
321XLR could finally allow mid to long haul low-cost career to be somewhat viable…!
Time to install a telescope in that cargo door….
Won’t happen because nasa is part of the USA government and airbus is a European company
Yes.
A 350 is a tru game changer aircraft in this ERA for passenger as well as cargo type....Great move Airbus 👏
I’d love to see all these improvements happen!
70.9T MTOW A220-300 with ACTs would be a truly Game Changer in; Range, Efficiency & Passenger Comfort
Indeed , the problem is if the MTOW remains the same , adding fuel capacity will reduce payload capacity . So an a220-300 with ACTs will fly further but with less passengers ( payload)

I really hope that an airline like Delta Air Lines considers to place firm orders of additional Airbus A220 series, Airbus A330-800neo to replace Boeing 767-300-, 767-400ER, and possibly A321XLR to replace Boeing 757-200 and Boeing 757-300.
Their A338s are super nice, flew on one on a short domestic flight back in July and it was a pleasure. Love the 767s but would not be sad to see Delta embrace more new jets
DL has clearly shown they are not interested in he 800 version of the 330. They have had plenty of time to order it and have chosen not to. The economics on it are just not that great
@@jtsaviation They already have ordered replacements for the 757 and already being phased out with the 321s 737-900s and now the 737 MAX 10 order. Where they do have a gap is with the 767s.
@@jtsaviation Well it's an interesting question why DL has not chosen either the 330-800NEO nor the XLR. Not gonna shock me if they end up ordering 787s if the deal is right.

Hope you are well and having a good time
Airbus may consider new factories in India and somewhere in South America to increase production and capacity.

Airbus should develop an A350-950, which would be a passenger version of the A350F. This would allow a combination of new A350F and converted P2F. Many airlines chose the B777 over the A350 because at the end of its passenger life, they would still obtain a reasonable price for the airframe to be converted into a freighter. The same will happen for the B777X, unless Airbus uses the same trick.
That is one of the stupidest idea i have ever read here
@@HugoAelbrecht the a350f is the freighter version of the a350. A passenger version of the a350f would just be the a350. Dvmbass
@@Nicolas-ol7jlI see, maybe before calling other people idiots, you should try to inform yourself properly: The 350F has a length between the 350-900 and the 350-1000. It has 6 wheels per train, like the -1000 (the -900 has only 4). The logic behind this is that a freighter needs to carry more weight than a passenger plane (volume is far less important, since most of the time the max weight is reached before max volume). Hence the -900 passenger version is not appropriate to be converted into a freighter and the -1000 has too much useless volume. That is why I suggested a 950 passenger version with the same length, trains, engines as the 350F. At the end of its passenger airplane life, it could then easily be converted to a 350F. This would make the 350-950 a more attractive passenger plane than the -1000.
So A350 Combi? Interesting proposal.
A330neo freighter should be a thing. Aluminium shell means it’s easy for cargo doors. Perfect replacement for the 767F.
Boeing will be manufacturing the 767F till around 2027 ( unless a waiver is granted beyond that) , and it would be way cheaper and fit into smaller gates ( code D) , than the a330neoF ( code E) . It currently does not need a replacement.
Recently delivered 767F's won't need replacements till the 2030's
Airbus will probably only launch an A330neo freighter if Boeing launches the 787f
@@mmm0404 330 would still be better
Given how few have sold, the cargo carriers don't agree with you.
I find that if Boeing developed the 787-8f it would be much more efficient for replacements

787 seems to have replaced 767 well. But it is not big enough to replace 777-200 or A330s. Tons of airlines have older 777s and A330s that needs to be replaced. I expect more orders coming
787- 8 replaces the 767
787-9 replaces the a330
787-10 replaces the 777-200
i think the next realistic challenges are electric/hybrid for short range flights and preparing an A350 NEO with the RR Ultrafan.
the hydrogen crap and bodywing concepts are more a theoretical concept that cooks on low heat..
The biggest crap is electric in aviation but yeah, you might be on to something here. If only you could come up with a safe battery with about 100x the power density of current day li-nmc incendiary devices but without all its flaws, instability, limited charge cycles and most of all, its tendency to have an energy density so high, any chemical disturbance makes it burn vigorously.
Maybe Elon Musk has an answer?

However the development and qualification track for the A321XLR in 2022 has been far from going « according to plan » with the big issue of additional tank certification issues, which as of now still seems unsolved.
As of the target 2023 production rate for the A350, I suppose your « 6 » is to be understood as 6 per month.
The A321XLR is meant to be certified in 2024 and is running 6 months late currently!

What is going on with Delta Air Lines A350-1000 order for 20 ?
DL ordering more A350s should be an obvious move for the airline. They've sold all their old 777s and the 777x program is delayed, so any hope they have of moving forward quickly rests with the 350 (and 339 to an extent). The Russia situation has damaged their plans of US-India non-stops though, so it would need both the aircraft & political situation to start penetrating this important market.

Speaking of saving fuel on 8:50
A331XLR. Let's say you don't care that the fuel tank protection is facing criticism. How much cheaper would a flight from NYC to LHR be compared to an A350?
The XLR is suited to fly routes like Bristol to NYC which means that smaller airports can receive long haul routes
It is more of
smaller airport to smaller airport
Or
Larger airport to smaller airport.
Example New York to Stuttgart
Normal: New York to Frankfurt, Frankfurt to Stuttgart
Xlr: New York to Stuttgart
@@gong9901 It's an aircraft that will be operating from hub to smaller spoke city.

Qantas brought the A350-1000, A321 neo and A220
Will we not see any more development projects like A220-500, A322 or a new length variant between A320 and A321?
I think the a220-500 would be in between the a320 and the a321.
They are no hurry for 220-500. Still too many problems/losses for the current models in production.
I guess A220-500 will be close to todays A320. Thats why Airbus also need to stretch the 320 slightly.
737-Max 8 can seat up to 200 pax, and the A320 only ~185. This is why 320 needs a new lengths variant

I WANT TO KNOW IF THE A321 WILL BE UNDER A NEW AIRLINE WIRH THE WORD TRANS IT IN THE FUTURE FOR INSTACE AN AIR LINE CALLED TRANS OCAENIC AIRWAYS
A350-1000 orders have been pretty decent for Airbus too. As Boeing fan and like Airbus as well. To me is bad news for Boeing I mean when will B777X get certification.
If, somehow, Airbus and Qatar Airways come to an agreement and put the saga to an end, I can see one of the Qatar Airways demands being that they only take planes painted in Alabama as they should have the most up-to-date facilities to deal with the most modern planes.
Are there going to be videos on the likes of Embraer and ATR?
Seems that would be unlikely. The Mobile plant only does final assembly for A320s and A220s. To paint an A350 in Alabama you would need to fly an unpainted A350 transatlantic from Toulouse to Mobile and/or create components (mostly in Europe), ship them to Alabama, paint them and then ship them to Toulouse for final assembly. Also since only A320s and A220s are built it Mobile it seems likely the paint shop/s will only be sized to handle those aircraft, over-specifying it to take A350s it might occasionally handle seems like a waste of money. Seems far easier to upgrade (if required) paint shops already specifically designed for the a350.
@@ATABBOTT oh, OK. Thanks for clearing that up. I should've paid more attention.
@@ATABBOTT Yeah that wouldn't make any sense.
I mean they have to make those aircraft for Air India
Did he just say A390
@long haul by simple flying Do you think AirBus will ever continue with the manufacturing of the A380 or it finally met its grave?
The only way it could come back would be as a 2 engine version. The new engines that Rolls Royce is currently developing would have enough power. That would also require a new wing design. Even then, the width and long runway requirement would still limit its success. Never say never though! Emirates is probably still pushing for this to happen.
@@HugoAelbrecht I think Emirates was the only company supporting the manufacturing of the A380... And it happened to be quite a success to them with the number of planes they had..
Thanks for replying ❤️
The supply chain is now completely shut down and the former 380 final assembly plant is now relocated the the to the 321. Airbus has moved on.
@@HugoAelbrecht A 2 engine plane would likely be a new airplane
@@danharold3087 I agree, but if Rolls Royce develops the engines anyway, Airbus only needs to modify the wings. Avionics and all the rest are still perfectly up to date. It would continue to be the quietest commercial airplane ever produced. Also the cheapest per passenger per mile to operate - provided that it can be filled up. Since in the long run, the number of air travelers will continue to increase and airports will become increasingly overcrowded, never say never. Boeing would have no answer, because unlike the A380, every single aspect of the B747 is outdated, not just the 4 engines.
But I a agree that in the short term, there is no need.
Would like to see where it goes with SAF, it could be a game changer for the industry, even though it still mixes in some fossil fuels.

A220-500 thoughts? Also, why didn’t Airbus use their own naming convention. A220, A221, A219?
Its because the A220 werent originally Airbus’. They were originally designed by Bombardier as the CS100, but due to Boeing and the US government, the cs100 would see an increase in tax. To avoid this, Bombardier sold 51% of the airplane design to Airbus, allowing the plane to manufacture within the US and avoid the tariff, which also allows Airbus to change the name to now the A220 series.
