Brother, I’ve been there before. Broke my kubota BX23S recently 🤦🏽♂️. It happens
the entire reason I keep insurance on these machines for sure!
Must of been a pain.... 😂... you did a great job in sorting it out though 👏 👍🏻.. stay safe 🏴
I was holding my breath, watching you tighten the screws. Nice work.
shew...me too!!
Josh, we have the " Dirt Monkey", and now the "Farm Monkey"! Hahaha!
Did a really nice job on installing the glass.
I learned a trick, when I was remodeling one of my rental units restroom.
When you're ready to run your finger along the silicone, put a little Dawn dish detergent on your finger first. It gives your silicone a better finish, and your finger glides along without messing it up.
Thanks!
Good morning Josh, great video but I love the bloopers 😂😂
Glad you like them!
Love the hat! 😉
I like it too!!
Good morning Josh, thanks for another awesome video!🍻
I don’t think you need that glass breaker, you did pretty good without it 😂. That’s something my DA would do 🤦♂️
Close The Door! Great advice lol!!!! I left my door open on my John Deere 4075 while backing out of my shop and……. Snap on the shop post. 🤯
Invisible Glass , Josh. Works great as well .
Hey Josh thank you for the video Woo
Josh CEO Stoney Ridge Glass & Door 🤣
Water, Dawn, rubbing alcohol. Best glass cleaner ever. Just fill up spray bottle leaving a couple ounces from full. Put enough Dawn in to turn blue. Pour in rubbing alcohol to finish filling it to the fill line. You'll never buy glass cleaner again
Good morning !!! 🌹🌹🌹🌹
Nice tractor 🎉❤
Awesome as always
So, I worked in a trailer plant for years and used a ton of silicone for sealant, I found that the best thing besides masking is to spit on your finger to smooth it out, it sounds weird I know, but saliva seems to work better than a dry finger or water and gives you a smoother finish. For what it's worth. A small angled tip also helps.
Josh try ZEP aerosol glass cleaner it's my favorite smells of mint cleans excellent
Just saying hi from ohio nice video hope you and the kids are doing good😅
all 55 kids are doing good! Eating hay and enjoying the shade during this heat wave!
Great video
I use hi sheen glass cleaner. A little pricey but i get it off amazon. I remeber growing up thats all my mom would use. I had an Aunt who owned a glass shop and thats where my mom always got it. I thought they didnt make it anymore. Its about 10 dollars a can on amazon but well worth it. No streaks or anything. Spray way is my next go to.
My wife is a pretty good glass cleaner 😂😂😂
Sorry about that Brother. Stuff happens especially when trying to do a video. Trying to do so many things while running an unfamiliar piece of equipment is really hard. Nice job replacing that glass though.
Pretty cool!
John ,I think you need a plastic dull knife for sliding the gasket an window together.never use metal on glass almost a broken window garuntee
well the gasket is rubberized with metal inside to hold it in place....I totally agree with ya..bare metal on glass is a no no for sure!
We had the wind break a door on our loader at work , opened the door to talk to my worker and the wind slammed it into the rubber stopper / bumper.
ouch!
@@StoneyRidgeFarmer what sucks is it broke / fixed and then broke again from me opening the door and a gust of wind ripped it from my hand
dang!! Hate that for ya! Hope you had insurance....I insure my machines with an "inland marine" policy from farm bureau. $100 deductible covers me for any accident
That articulation would be great in tight places like orchards/woods. With a mucher or mower on front(like a Lane Shark, or even a flail or drum mucher with a narrow width) and grappling should be awesome as well.
If only I had the $$$.😑
Invisible Glass is a great cleaner. Walmart usually has it in the auto section
it doesnt matter if you break it to me, its all about fixing it correctly or replacing it.
its why I dont lend out vintage tools you cant get anymore, especially tools from family members.
I was working for a guy cutting and hauling hay one summer while I was in high school, he had a 9540 kubota cab and air tractor that he had me using to cut hay with, the ac wasn’t the best so I had the back glass open, when I folded the 8 foot hay mower up to move to the next field I wasn’t paying attention and it shattered the back glass. To make it worse it was a new-ish tractor.
A Acni😢h a
You're not the first one and you will not be the last 😂 I ruined two Doors from my JD 955 in two Years 🤷🏻
I broke glass out of my enclose cab backhoe, left the door open, I replaced it. Two months later it got busted again, and the front glass got broke to. then i removed all of them all and the doors on a 310d John Deere . No more broken glass LOL
Spray away glass cleaner is the number 1 cleaner in the us.
Were it me, I'd put a small fire extinguisher in the cab just in case of electrical fires. 😊
Did I just witness you having a senior moment? What was that called,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,?
So now they have to “Josh proof” the piece of equipment, by interlocking the steering system, with a door ajar system.
Broke a back glass with the bushhogg. Also broke my door from shutting it too hard. The wind also claimed another door.
Thanks Josh!!! That is a really cool machine! I saw Dirt Monkey using it and it got my gears turning. I was curious if they had a “forestry package” that would run mulchers with the high flow? That would allow older folks or semi-disabled folks to get in and out of the side entry easier than a skid steer. I’ve heard some bad reviews concerning the JCB and Volvo side entry “one arm bandits”
Just Say’n 🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸
I wouldn't wanna run a forestry mulcher with this....you need a dedicated machine with ballistic forestry cab and external cooling
Eh, the almond might not be so bad, it would be like an accent stripe!
I know right!
We now know why that glass door is "made" in two parts. How many one-part glass doors were broken by the company/dealers before the glass door was redesigned?
I'm not sure....my tractors have a single glass...I think the cast loader was just designed to work wiht 1 glass
Lumna Acres broke his door glass on his TYM too
Josh, I would like to know where you got your shop seat from? I struggle with lower back pain and that would be awsome.
here's a link from my amazon page to the exact stool. This link earns commissions I'm required to tell ya...just one of the many ways I keep the videos coming! amzn.to/3xvz45c
So my first thought is where do you take it for service?
I just do it myself
are the doors removable?
Was hear. Wooooo
❤❤VIDEO ❤❤let me know about cleaning the caulk off in side of window ❤ before it gets hard ❤are doing it while sticky ❤ or did you redo the inside caulk installation ❤I’m OCD about that stuff ❤❤
caulking was great
Josh, is the cast loader going to replace your skidsteer?
nope...it's a great machine, but won't do what a track skid loader will do... more like a wheeled skid loader....however the cast loader is faster, easier on the land and is strong as an ox. It can do everything that the track loader can do, but pushing dirt on uneven ground isn't it's specialty
It looks like you need a bigger shed.
need to get it organized!! Bad!!
If I was you I would trace the window and next time use plexiglass.
...wear gloves (rubber) and wet your hands in soapy water before touching the silicone...😁
I'm sorry but as a former engineer that is a stupid design with tempered glass on the bottom.
They should make it out of lexan and it should have a pop out capability. What if you run over a bent Piece of pipe or a branch that's Hardy enough to hit that window if you run over and it curls up...
how bout ballistic glass like a forestry skid loader?
@@StoneyRidgeFarmer I would say because polycarbonaye sheet, with mar-guard is cheaper and easier to manufacture into that shape as well. AND, you do not need a lot of visual.Clarity down there so low....
Better be prpared to run for your life if you yell out,"Shut the barn door." This happens when your not near a farm. Sometime the cabin door is more money than the whole tractor. Costly mistake.
thank goodness not in this case
Need a warning on window.
lol...it's actually just common sense...but I got side tracked
Your Ventrex is also an articulating tractor so I don’t understand the difficulty and driving.
Ventrac....and they're 2 totally different machines buddy....this is a material moving machine with a bucket, much larger and totally different....that's like saying you could drive a Chevette...so why can't you drive an Indy car? Hear what I'm saying?
@@StoneyRidgeFarmer Josh, going to have to take your word on it but I own a ventrac 4500 and it seems to pivot in the middle like this machine. I understand it's bigger but don't they both pivot at the same basic placement on the machine.
I have a ventrac too......this is a totally different earth moving piece of equipment my friend....it's not the same....if ya hopped in a cast loader you'd understand.....the ventrac is much easier to maneuver
Again? 😅
That seems like a poor design to me
Simple....close the door when operating lol...not a poor design...an inexperienced operator issue lol
Not a very good design if you ask me.
hmmm...just a window....look at all the stories below of tractor owners busting out their glass...the real issue here is just close the door lol
@@StoneyRidgeFarmer Pu a spring and chain like you find on a storm door to keep it from slamming open.
it has a "shock" on the door, but slamming open isn't really the issue...ya just gotta keep the door closed when operating the tractor...as with all tractors. I just messed up and busted it....totally my fault
Great video
Glad you enjoyed it
