Look on the forums first but it's more common than not that they do go and can cost a pretty penny to have them re-lined. Great video and will be following along for the next project!
As per the comments it remained on the original tyres/ chain and sprockets, I was actually shocked just how good the tyres performed for being left out side for so long! Here in the Philippines you can buy it for 600 thousand 😅 so expensive here and you get all of it for 1146.82 pounds equivalent to 79 thousand peso here in the Philippines

As always, enjoyed watching another episode of this RSV restoration. Great to watch and great encouragement to do things yourself. Beautifull classic. As it is a none RSV mille R, I think you are Lucky to have the Carbon parts. Just to buy the winddeflectors and sidepannel inerts, I would probably have to pay about €300. These days not easy to find. Brilliant serie and hopefully next serie will be something in the same order. Nice forgotten bikes: Suzuki TL1000R, Kawasaki ZX7R, Suzuki GSX 750 SRAD, Honda CBR900RR (model1999), Yamaha YZF750. Keep up the good show! I’ll be around
Thanks Robert & glad you enjoyed the series 😎👍 Yep it certainly has a few trick parts, one of the viewers who worked for Aprilia advised the exhaust hanger is a factory upgrade and rare to come across too, some one loved this old girl once upon a time 👍 I would love to ride a TL1000R, very rarely see them these days, hopefully someone watching has one abandoned in the garden and wants to sell it 😅

That would be cool...I had a 2005 R1 7 seven years ago, what a bike that was..as I'm in my late 50s now so purchased the triumph 900gt pro 2022. Fantastic job 👍👍 I remember Griff fitted a front spocket with one tooth less (14) which transformed the acceration & didnt reaaly effect top end... also the silencer bracket fitted on your bike..is an orginial aprilia special part - came with the factory supplied arrows exhaust.. those brackets are rare !!
Thanks David, I dare call Griff as I’m gonna get stick for not changing that internal hose like he told me too haha! I was genuinely impressed how well the old girl goes especially as the tyres were pretty old, really felt a wonderful thing, a tooth drop would have certainly livened her up 😎 Awesome, I even said to my friend the bracket pretty much matches the sub frame in terms of material finish and welding so looked like a factory part - shame someone removed the arrow for a Pipe worx silencer 🤦♂️

Always run the bikes on V-power as shell is nearest to me, sadly it seems even the small amount of Ethanol can be troublesome for these classics ☹️ I have discovered ESSO premium contains no ethanol at all so potentially worth the switch especially with the tank swell that these can suffer with

Enjoyed this Journey, price was great but just were you needed to be, I did same rebuild on a Honda Blackbird been sat in out building for 10yrs Spider Heaven !!! Still have it, cost me about £1500 all in with Purchase.. I consider it a bargain as only 8000miles on clock & now in nearly Mint condition... looking forward to your next Project...
Glad to hear 😎👍
Bizarrely the black bird & Busa are the two old school kings I’ve yet to have ridden 🤯
I was wondering in which video you'd finally take the pump out 😅
Got it sorted in the end 👍😅
@stoneautomotive well done for saving one from the scrap yard.
Thanks Robert & glad you enjoyed the series 😎👍
Yep it certainly has a few trick parts, one of the viewers who worked for Aprilia advised the exhaust hanger is a factory upgrade and rare to come across too, some one loved this old girl once upon a time 👍
I would love to ride a TL1000R, very rarely see them these days, hopefully someone watching has one abandoned in the garden and wants to sell it 😅
5 videos in and no mention of tyres... wondering which replacement tyres you went with?
The tyres were fitted before it was parked up, surprising they were actually really good on the first ride in the wet (took it easy expecting them to be like plastic)
Great thanks for the reply! Only recently discovered your channel (interest was piqued cos I used to own one... fantastic bike and, of course, I regret selling it) and have been bingeing videos 👍🙂
Wow. Good job. Sounds awesome on the road...you mentioned R1. That would be cool...I had a 2005 R1 7 seven years ago, what a bike that was..as I'm in my late 50s now so purchased the triumph 900gt pro 2022. Absolutely love it...hope to do some travelling...looking forward to next project for sure...stay safe. Regards Stuart
Thanks Stuart 👍😎
100% get some road trips done, I’ve done a few car trips on the channel (NC500 + Euro trip) if you need inspiration 👍
Plenty more to come on the Chanel 👍
Just checked the ebay link.....that escalated quickly!
Brilliant watch and can't wait for the next one. #inspired
I’m not holding my breath, already had 3 bid retractions.. can see how this is gonna go 🤦♂️
Thanks, trying to get something sorted for end of the month, few little projects on the radar 😬
@@stoneautomotive the joys or ebay! Hopefully it'll not be a mess around for you as it's a well written ad. I'd have been interested myself but I've two ducati already and I think the wife would murder me if a third bike accidentally found a home in my garage 🤣
@@Fishfire140 fingers crossed the winning bidder is genuine, have no more
Space for the next project 😅
Remember it’s easier to ask for forgiveness than permission when buying a motorcycle and knowing the misses won’t approve 😂
Looks great sounds great job well done 👏
Thanks Stuart 😎👍
wow would love that bike it looks amazing
Thanks Henry 😎👍
that bike is sexy sexy
Enjoyed watching the entire build videos. Just subscribed to your channel on Friday because of this particular motorcycle.
Looking forward to new content from you.
Glad to hear Matt & thanks for the channel support 👍😎
Caliper bolts etc…..if they clean up really well (it depends on the project value), I just splash some laquer on them !
Really enjoyed the series and the end result. Good job.
Watching it on eBay 😉
The only thing with the clear coat is I think it would break off as soon as I put a torque wrench on it.. I’ve covered it in my 1,000+ uses ACF-50 😅
Glad to hear 👍😎
See if you win it, you can clear coat the bolts and let me know how they hold up 😬
Fantastic job 👍👍 I remember Griff fitted a front spocket with one tooth less (14) which transformed the acceration & didnt reaaly effect top end... also the silencer bracket fitted on your bike..is an orginial aprilia special part - came with the factory supplied arrows exhaust.. those brackets are rare !!
Thanks David, I dare call Griff as I’m gonna get stick for not changing that internal hose like he told me too haha!
I was genuinely impressed how well the old girl goes especially as the tyres were pretty old, really felt a wonderful thing, a tooth drop would have certainly livened her up 😎
Awesome, I even said to my friend the bracket pretty much matches the sub frame in terms of material finish and welding so looked like a factory part - shame someone removed the arrow for a Pipe worx silencer 🤦♂️
Excellent - what a terrific road bike and you are right about the 130 odd bhp being just right, glad to see those corroded bolts dealt with 👍 Another rescue type bike next please, always good to see a machine saved for a new life....
Thank you 😎👍
Yep, currently trying to source another barn find as we speak 😬
What a great job, wonderful bike gets back to the roads. Love to watch whole procces. Greetings from Poland. Cant wait to see next bike. 😊
Thank you 😎👍
On the search for the next project as we speak 😬
Wow excellent job dude I think you did really well on pricing.. definitely do some more of these vids really good to watch and super interesting 😊 yeah go co part dude it’ll make another great vid.. Pete
Thanks Pete 😎👍
I can see me heading off to Copart soon 😅
The bike looks even better than I expected , It's beautiful and if it looks fast it is fast you know that. The price is so low for what you got , I thought you were joking at first!
Cheers Mate! Cannot wait for the next project!
Thanks mate, chuffed with how it came out 😎👍
This is the kind of video i go up 3 am to watch when the rest of the family still sleeps.
I watched the videos from start to finish on this bike and i am impressed of your skill and the editing and video quality.
The new coulors look much better then the prevous and your channel is super👍👍💪💪.
Glad to hear your enjoying the series, hopefully a new project restoration bike will be on the channel very soon 😬
Thanks for the kind words, like most I’ve learned a lot from previous tinkering to get me where I am today 👍
My r1150 GS had the same problems with those pipes bursting modern fuels eating into the rubber .Either use the more expensive E5 fuel or use an additive
Always run the bikes on V-power as shell is nearest to me, sadly it seems even the small amount of Ethanol can be troublesome for these classics ☹️
I have discovered ESSO premium contains no ethanol at all so potentially worth the switch especially with the tank swell that these can suffer with
Great work, lovely bike and cheap. Looking forward to your next project 👏🏻👍🏻🇮🇪
Thanks 😎👍
you killed it on the price and restoration
Thank you 😎👍
Superbike ....🤩
Congratulations on a job well done. Parting with something you've sweated on is always a little sad. It would be nice if the new owner appeared on camera because I'd like to see the look of happiness when he swings a leg over for the first time.
Thank you 😎👍
Exactly that, it’s probably just as well I don’t have the space as I would have motorcycles all over the place 😅
Mate, awesome job and really enjoyed the restoration. I think you should invest in a bench grinder with a wire wheel😁for those pesky bolts.
Glad to hear Peter 😎👍
Haha yes, I thought the same when nearly skimming a few layers of skin off 😅
Great job and she sounds great!!👍
Thanks mate 👍😎
Good job for a beautiful bike! 👍🏍️
Thank you 😎👍
Great bike. Brilliant work. The next owner will be very lucky. Looking forward to next project
Thanks Steven, I hope the new owner enjoys as she rides and looks fantastic 😎
RS250 rebuild please😉😁
Ohhhhhh that would be cool… so much money though 😅
You've done a lot of really hard work on that bike my friend, I hope you get a good price though because if you don't it will knock your confidence 😮
Thanks Mick 😎👍
With it being winter I don’t expect it to be a massive return, to be honest garage tinkering keeps me happy so as long as the outlay is covered it’s all part of the journey & allows be to bring content to you all 😬
As a recent subscriber, I’ve really enjoyed this series and look forward to the next project you take on.
I was certainly wincing when you had the drill wire brush on the bolts and the bolt in your hand….thats gonna catch you one day 😳
Welcome Rich and glad you enjoyed the series 😬👍
Your not wrong mate, should really invest in a bench mounted one and wear some tough gloves 👍
Definitely you made a good job of it.
Thank you 👍😎
Try finding some Honda VFRs
I owned and reviewed a VFR400 NC30 on the channel many years ago, gone up a few quid in value since then 😅
It’s finding these little gems that’s the issue!
@@stoneautomotive Well you can always find a RC46 fifth gen!
Absolute bargain buy and a good profit to be made. Lovely resto job. Thoroughly enjoyed following along.
Glad you enjoyed the series 😎👍
700 pounds, good price mate. Not too much, not too little. Exactly what it would be worth.
Always good to hear 😎👍
Great rescue, more than worth the cost.
Stick to the garden finds that arnt an insurance Category writeoff.
Thanks Bryan 😎👍
That’s the plan, if possible 👍
@@stoneautomotive They are always worth less and harder to sell.
@@bryansuperduke1290r agree, and you can still spend a fortune rebuilding them ☹️
Looks fantastic James 🙂
Cheers Mat 😎👍
You killed it amico! Beautiful
Thank you 😎
I had one of those RSVs loved it.
Really cool bikes, so surprised they never had the following like the Ducatis!
Bargain!!!
Looks mint.... cost was so cheap.
Thank you 😎👍
Kept on budget but could soon add up if you had to pay a specialist 😬
Really enjoyed this resto….good to see it’s going well on the bids. That R6 is screaming to be next.
Thanks Jack & glad you enjoyed the series 😎👍
Tell me about it, I’m patiently waiting for him to change his mind 😅
Loved watching the transformation. You got a great barging there, hope it does well on ebay.
Glad to hear 👍😎
Yea she was a diamond in the rough 😬
Class looking bike
Thanks mate 😎👍
That is an absolute bargin bike and you've done a right job on it bud, wish i could find a gem like that for such good money. Looking forward to the next one.
Cheers mate, I think many would have walked away.. I saw (potentially stupidly) the potential of this little diamond in the ruff and it did pay off 😬
Song?
You did yourself proud at that cost and saved the bike ending up in the breakers yard, good on ya for that, looking forward to the next project
Thanks Martin 😎👍
Project started well with the bike price and finished in style and profit I hope .Nice one
Thanks Paul 😎👍
Hi mate you've done a mint job of getting that bike back on the Rd, really enjoyed watching this series, and I really don't think you've payed too much, pretty much bang on I'd say. Really looking forward to your next project, cheers buddy keep up the mint work, ride safe. 👍👍👌👌J
Thanks John 😎👍
Another project will certainly be on the cards soon, just need to let the RSV sale complete so I have some space 😅
@@stoneautomotive Brill, can't wait, luv watching your channel it's mint thanks again and have a great week. 👌👍👍👍

Great job mate thank you 🙏.
