Seriously at $280 retail we are starting to talk about MIJ prices. I don’t know how the “big” three will keep competing w Mizuno if they keep raising prices at the clip they are. Ever since I’ve gotten MIJ products I’ve never looked back.
@@TheFootballDude18 you are absolutely correct they’re not, but my point is that the big three are only going to keep increasing their pricing to MIJ prices. At that point get the MIJ
To be fair I´ve recently bought the Mizuno Morelia Neo 2 Pro AG version and they have astonished me in terms of fit, comfort, control and touch on the ball compared to the top end models I have across Adidas and Nike. I suspect MIJ´s would just sway me completely to be exclusively Mizuno
Josh I’ve been watching your videos ever since the 2014 wc cause I needed to know the difference between Brazuca tiers. Thank you for all these years of football boot reviews. Let’s bully these brands into making boots Legendary again! (Adidas takedown models in particular)
Josh, love the 'All Price point ' videos. Best Elite vs best Academy synthetic leather upper boot. A good middle ground is the Tiempo Pro(your Fav😂 👍)Wouldnt touch any take down Pred, or any other Adidas takedown model for that matter. Nike over Adidas for take down models every day of the wk.
I feel I play better but not necessarily because they cost more, just because of the materials used provides a better touch due to the thin structure of the top end models. Yes, the takedowns are thin too, but the top end models being lighter and crafted with better materials make for a better and lighter touch on the ball making my ball control just that little bit better during training.
Is there a possibility that you could do a takedown comparison chart the way you have with top ends over the years? Maybe all the first take downs compared to each other (e.g. Adidas pro vs Puma pro), then the next step down etc until you get a "bottom of the range" (e.g. Adidas club vs puma play) comparison?
Hi Josh, I've just buy a pair of Ace 15.3 at an incredible price of $15. The thing is that those boots are the leather version. It has calf skin and the touch feels tremendous!
*I like my Nike premiers more than my mercurial elites. The truth of the matter is, when you buy the more expensive top end boots, you're paying for the million dollar contracts these athletes are paid to wear them. Not because they are better*
@@khelgarironfist3301 Yeah my buddy has the beta 3’s and he went half a size down. Seems to be a Mizuno thing. Which is weird that Josh says Mizuno goes true to size but mine were definitely too big
Played professionally for a short period of time during my youth and i have to say, not only these Elite models have better Durability but they are that much better on your foot... Nowadays most shoes are sintetic so is harder to tell the difference I suppose, versus when I played and there were more Kangaroo leather options like the Kaka's Predators and Total Nineties... nothing was remotely close to those and the glorious Mizuno Morelia
Why would you not compare an Academy and elite version of the same boot? Why would you compare the lower version of a better boot like the tempo than the higher version of a crap boot like a Adidas predator?
I was just thinking about this. I got for myself a pair of Phantom GX academy and I really love it. Thinking if I will get the pro or elite version will be amazing. WRONG, ended up buying the pro version, and I hate it, i find it hard to put them on, i grt blisters every time I use the, I feel they are runing a little big, even the they are the same size as the academy. Even tho I m a football boots enthuziast, I really prefer the simple and traditional boots to play in.
It’s good to test multiple versions as you did. I tend to find the opposite in that the lower end tend to hurt my feet more, but either way it’s important to recognize that going up or down a level can create a completely different feel for better or worse.
I think it is important to define the differences between skill and performance because I think that's where people get hung up. For instance, better equipment performance might lead to better field performance like traction or speed, having aggressive studs or being lightweight. Theoretically. But traction and speed are not skills. And so higher performance boots will not make you tackle harder or position yourself better or improve shooting technique or you know, all the things that make the real differences player to player. Mostly they just make a more comfortable or nicer experience.
I trully appreciate the fact that he explains why you probably shouldnt spend money on really expensive boots if you dont have the money to do so. I think if theese videos will get more views and the big corporation see theese video then they might reconsider sending a pair of new boots for you to test just because they dont want sales to drop
Comparing models within the same line is one thing, but like I said in the video, while most top-end models tend to be very good, the variation in quality of cheaper ones is huge. If you’re on a budget, you need to go for what’s good at that price, rather than which top-end version of that boot you like.
It should be comfort foremost. My kid has a wider foot so + adidas predators are the best. With the new Predator Roteria coming out in real leather in April and a wider toe box, the $280 will be worth it as she trains and plays quite a bit in two different et age groups for her club and then for her school.
Why don’t they make the takedown boots exactly the same (taking about the fit and measurements) just with different materials? Look at the new adidas predator, it’s a completely different boot. Not even the same fit , from what I’m seeing.
I've had them for about 2 months and there's slight separation on the inside of the right boot, I do play on AG and FG though so that's probably why in my case
This video is extremely confusing? You're comparing 2 completely different boots. Even so, predator elites and Tiempo's do not compare at all. The fit, the weight, and better materials is usually what you pay for on higher end boots. In that regard the Predators fit much better. It feels a lot more plush than Tiempos, and looks wise there is no comparison. Even the T10 elite doesn't match up to the preds. Cheaper boots genuinely and generally feel cheap.
Right? I actually got faster because I bought a pair of elites and now my last name is messi. I also won a World Cup last year and I’m really happy I bought a pair of elites because I don’t know where I’d be if I didn’t honestly.
Yea it's fun and all. And then we have that one guy mastering Ronaldinho typo shit on the field with a fcking kipsta boot. I don't believe world anymore
Not if you're still bad at football, it will only make you look dumb for spending a lot of money if you're not even good enough for it to matter. If you're good however, it does make you cooler imo.
I find that hard to believe, merely to the fact that professional players have their boots specifically modified in order for them to perform at their top level. Meaning to suggest a $85 boot can not replace a $200+ boot.

Marketing is a hell of a thing my friend. Most people car about what brand they are wearing not the quality
Haven’t shopped for boots outside of Japan in years. Even the non-MIJ stuff is legit. Walk into a KAMO and you’ll never buy anywhere else.
