Interesting that the negative cultural traits described by Tacitus as being almost a Germanic stereotype have literally dissapeared. I always laugh a bit when the “Perfect Aryan Race” is described. Blond hair and blue eyes, perfect physical shape. While there may have been men that looked like this somewhere in the SS, the orchestrators of WWII were the opposite. I am basically Western European, my mother’s side came to the US from the Rhineland Platz area of Germany to South Carolina in the 1830’s. Why not just create his own bible? That's where the original Bible came from.
