Thanks for the video. A note on the helm khuraburi. It is available with a number of options when ordered with different color ways, date or no date, as well as a crown at the 10 marker for lefties like me. The lack of crown guards doesn't matter imo as when screwed down its pretty solid. I also have the titanium version. It does sit well though thick on my not quite 7" wrist.
You really did your homework Ben. Great review. I am a big fan of Deep Blue Dive Watches. Quality, finish, reliability and price. Unbeatable value in my opinion.
Thanks for watching and I appreciate the feedback. I mentioned that the video series is a mile wide but only 30m deep. I scoped out movements from the start because it's often hard to find that information. As for dial size, that is almost never disclosed on product listings so I don't know how I would have gathered that info. Thanks for your feedback
I haven't. I was planning on doing some spinoff videos from this pilot watch work. Lower than expected viewership for the dive watch series soured me on doing a spinoff. But i should. I have all that info, so it would be easy to put together. Top 10 titanium, Top 10 tritium, top 10 compressors, etc.
Hi, thanks for watching. I disagree with what you're saying. I chose a mix of sizes and I often chose the smaller size. For example: Aragon Sea Charger, comes in 44 and 50, I chose 44. DF dive tank comes in 48 and 40, I chose 40. Divemaster comes in 50, 48, 45, 42, I chose 42. Superjet comes in 50 and 44, and I chose 44.
@mywatcheswithben I wrote this comment about halfway through the video 😂 As I said on my other comment, this series is going on WatchCrunch 🔥👍🏾👍🏾 A lot of new collectors aren't sure of what to look for in a watch. Even though this is not a ranking of "The Best " watches, it gives great context and various options. Still have the rest of the series to binge watch 😁
how crazy is it all the diving watches you review. I know you can't include everyone, but why don't you include helm Vanuatu, which is one of the best for the price 😊

Sure thing. Someone else asked for the spreadsheet. Here's a Google Drive folder with the spreadsheet. It is VERY raw, as I did not design it to be easily used by others. However, all the information's in there. drive.google.com/drive/folders/1Q1H1BF1z8VE3ihWGSNGbhnQzM8onqVdW?usp=drive_link
I disagree that crown guards are a hallmark of a dive watch. Plenty of dive watches in the past didn't and their continuations don't have them. More importantly, Seiko Mini Turtle, an ISO certified diver, doesn't have them.
Ok, but shock resistance is required by ISO, and the crown is a very vulnerable place on the watch. Crown guards protect the movement. Most dive watches (61%) have some crown protection. In contrast: with pilot watches, only 17% have crown protection, and with field watches, it is only 10%. So yes, it is something that is much more prominent on dive watches than other watch types, i.e. a hallmark. I was mistaken about it being required by ISO 6425, though.
@@mywatcheswithben We can agree on that. Though, a screw-down crown is a form of crown protection, albeit weaker than the comparatively massive guards.
Omissions and Errors
Omission: Helm Vanuatu. 43mm, 14mm thick, score would have been 81, entitling this watch to 13th place in Budget category.
I’ve got a Helm Khuraburi, and love it. Bit thick, but a tank

Thanks for your support. Much appreciated!
Proxima 1703 copies the dial from the Zodiac Super Sea Wolf. It uses a different case style (more like an Oyster style), so it's not that apparent.

Thanks for that additional info. Date makes it much more attractive to me
Amazing job. Your Channel is fantastic
Thanks for the kind words!

Thank you! Deep Blue seems really excellent at the price point
Deep blue is awesome
One request , please mention the dial size and movement at least that most important for any one to consider looking into any of these watch models

Thank you very much for your effort. Very informative
You betcha. Thanks for watching
Have you ever done a top 5 or 10 tritium tube watch?
I haven't. I was planning on doing some spinoff videos from this pilot watch work. Lower than expected viewership for the dive watch series soured me on doing a spinoff. But i should. As a Aragon fan myself, I'm wondering why you only chose the larger models when there are two sizes per model line?

Tactical seven word comment to help with the algorithm.
could you give us your list as text please?
