  • I saved one of the best games for last. This is TANT-R which is one heck of a game. Before Wario Ware there was this game. It never got released in the arcades outside of Japan. It got a release however on the Mega Drive in Korea. I guess they thought the game was too hard and challenging to bring it to the States. I think they were probably right. The game can be very difficult at times and somewhat impossible on the harder difficulty setting.
The game will remind many of Wario Ware because it is very similar to TANT-R. You have a certain amount of time to complete a mini game. The biggest difference between the two is that Wario Ware is a bunch of super simple mini games that are only a few seconds long. TANT-R is a bunch of simple to extremely complex mini games that can last about a minute. It's not nearly as fast paced initially, but gets hectic really quick once the mini game starts as it seems mostly that you have just the right amount of time to complete the task within the given time frame. This game will eat you alive, but at the same time it is incredibly addictive and fun. Most of the time really hard games are hardly ever synonymous with fun. This is a very well designed game that I am glad they decided to bring state side.
Because I have never played any other version besides this one, I looked up a video of the original arcade. From what I can tell the graphics and sound have both been significantly improved while the gameplay has been left untouched. Even if it were not a faithful port of the original arcade, this would still be a fantastic game on it's own.

Damn... the music that starts at 5:31 is awesome! And also this one at the story mode and options in the beginning! Such a great game and the classic version was in the game centers years ago when I was very young! Me and my friends we were very good and we reached very higher levels of difficulty! For example those animals: dog, cow, cat and the others - voice order and you must repeat that! We reached voice order 13 voices and it was damn hard to remember them! But my friend got first 7 and I got the last 6 and we managed to pass it! The only game we didn't get is the one with symbols on colorful squares! Just don't know how to play it cause the instruction manual was on japanese and I still don't know how to play it! :D So we proceeded with caution to not select it but sometimes we didn't have a choice and then... credit lost :D

I was trying to find info on this, but it is difficult to find. This PS2 version was unfortunately my first foray into Tant-R/Puzzle & Action games. I was immediately hooked. They just played/streamed the actual Tant-R on MI-KA-DO's channel 2 days ago:
      ruclips.net/video/hl7lG1kbBh0/видео.html
And I noticed it didn't have the variety that the PS2 version had... so I did some digging and found Ichidant-R and Sand-R (Treasure Hunt).

No. It is a spinoff of Bonanza Bros.
